They are just celebrating their 10th year and are a nice community theatre tucked ever so slightly between I-5 and the ferry line. Restrooms are stage left and stage right and the theatre is easy to access once you make it upstairs to the business entrance in the middle of the second story of the building. If you enter on the left you will be at the bottom of the seats and directly in front of the stage on flat ground. If you go up the stairs on the right you will find yourself at the top row of the seats, furthest from the stage. Refreshments and snacks are available during intermission and the lobby is a warm and inviting space. Looking forward to my next play here already!

My hubs and I love this movie from 1989 and it was wonderful to see it in a classic, vintage theater (100+ years old!) with a good-sized crowd. So fun to laugh and cry with lots of people at the movies again!! The COVID pandemic took this tradition away and I am really hoping more people start going back to the movies again. The staff were friendly and the place was clean and full of good popcorn smells. We didn't partake though because $9 for a small bag of popcorn is just too expensive. But we appreciated this nice, old theater and we will be back.

Just such an enjoyable experience whenever I frequented it. Unfortunately from what I understand it was recently sold. Sigh. It's STILL a great old school theater, but that's about all that has remained. The fun, quirky, employees that always seemed to enjoy their work and showed their commitment to our lovely community have been replaced by dour, seemingly VERY unhappy and just CRANKY employees. I worked in Costumer Service for 30 years, and believe me it's HARD, especially during and after COVID. IMHO employees ACT like this under really bad mangers and management. Miserable employees treat customers with no kindness, no joy. My advice to management is FIX yourselves and the employee will follow. 'Nuf said! Best of luck, you bought a GEM, I hope you can find it again and KEEP IT.

I wish I could take away stars from this place…read more I signed my daughter up here and she immediately didn't like the experience. There were too many young girls in one class so the atmosphere was chaotic. We decided to take her out prior to the group beginning to learn a new routine for the next recital. Overall, she only attended twice. 2 months later, I began receiving threatening invoices demanding payment for the 2 months prior. I called and said I wouldn't be paying. I was told that even though they knew I dropped and even filled the spot that my daughter left, that since I didn't come in and fill out a drop card, but instead notified them over the phone that she was dropping, that they could and would keep charging me. I was outraged.... eventually, they sent me to collections, ruined my credit, and I ended up paying over $400 for 2 dance classes.... all because the person on the phone didn't tell me I needed to come in and drop the classes in person. Their business is located in an industrial garage. It's not comfortable or nice. There is really nothing positive that I can say about it.

I attended Anderson Cultural Center (Olympic Ballet School) for ballet lessons for maybe a year or…read moretwo when I was growing up. I liked the jumping part of class, but was a little heavier than some of the other students so tended to be a bit snubbed by some of my classmates as the skinny girls formed a clique and would push themselves to the front of the class during movement practice. The space (classroom) fit the nature of the classes and could get a bit camped depending on enrollment and attendance. We did get to wear a leotard and tutu, which was what I found the most fun. A couple of years later I started competing for a local swim team and found the swimsuits we wore were the same cut as the leotards we wore in ballet. I thought that was cool, what I wore for ballet extended beyond the classroom and prepared me in some form for the attire of swimming.

They do not make an adult wear a leotard, nor do they have you perform in a recital. (you'd be surprised at thow many places with adult classes do require these things.) Helen is the owner and she teaches the tuesday class. She does an amazing job at tailoring the class to which students are there. Many dancers are advanced but beginners are always welcome. The beauty is that classes focus more on technique than super challenging advanced steps, making it so you always get a killer workout. Thursday classes are good too, but you definitetly have to know your ballet lingo and be in a mindset to focus. Overall, love this place!

But it's clean and well-maintained, has a nice mix of mainstream and art-house films, offers bulk candy, and is staffed by universally nice people. I ordered a coffee once and assumed I'd need to pop back out to the lobby in five minutes to pick it up--imagine my shock when someone *came and found me* at my seat instead. (Yes, this was before the show.) It was wholly unnecessary, and just the kind of small human touch that makes the Crest such a pleasure. Also, you know how at huge megaplexes you actually have to go track down an employee to report a sound or projection problem? (Or if, say, the wrong film is playing entirely, as happened to me at Thornton Place last summer?) Doesn't happen here because they actually pay attention. I've only ever experienced a couple of technical issues here anyway, and each time the staff was already on top of it.
