Even when you are right in front of it, you worry that you might be at the wrong door. There's plenty of parking and some stairs to the theater on both sides of the complex (I believe there is handicapped access in the back). We saved some money by getting our tickets on groupon via goldstar. Picking up tickets a few minutes before the show at the will call desk was pretty easy. Its also good to know there are beverages available should you desire something to drink. This theater is pretty small, making all seats good seats. We were able to see the stage easily, although like most older theaters seating is a bit cramped. It was also a bit warm in the theater. We saw The female of the species which was an enjoyable comedy about a subject matter that appeals to me. I appreciated the sign in the lobby alerting me that there were gun shots to be expected during the performance. It was also helpful of them to discuss how to become season ticket holders prior to the show, prices are very reasonable and even cheaper for seniors. We definitely thought this made for a nice evening out and plan to check out some of the other upcoming shows.

It was a more formal occasion so we got to wear our nice clothes. We would arrive fairly early to avoid the crowd that could form as the play start time neared. The plays we saw here were varied in content, though tended to be musicals. I typically got headaches when I saw plays growing up, and the acoustics hear were better than average. It depended on the play and type of music sung whether I got a headache. During intermission we would make a dash for the restrooms, which could have a long line, however us and other theater goers tended to be quick to keep the line moving. We would also go on the hunt for a small cookie or two that might have been put out.

The acoustics was decent at the dress circle level but I'm not sure how it is at the balcony level. They also have a camera pointed at the conductor so you can see him passionately conducting the event on a TV screen attached to the balcony railing! Everyone working at the venue are super nice and there is a small cafeteria that sells snacks, coffee, wine and beer. There is venue parking and plenty of street parking so that's one thing not to worry about! We had a good time here and the play was nice for the price we paid for the tickets! Will definitely come back for more shows in the summer!

Through both sets of…read morelessons I came away with a broader understanding of how music works, and my playing was opened up and expanded as a result. If you are not familiar with Scott as a performer, a quick web search will reveal his credentials. He's been teaching for nearly 40 years, and is an active performer playing jazz, classical, and fusion. He is an expert player in a number of different styles, and counts a number of famous musicians as his students. I told Scott what I was interested in learning, and he tailored lessons to my desires. He has a tremendous accumulation of supporting materials - lead sheets for jazz standards, decompositions of rock solos, pages of scales and licks, and the list goes on. It seemed that after every lesson there would be some well-prepared supporting information that I could take home to further my practice and advancement. Scott is also very friendly and patient. His love of playing is infectious. Highly recommended!
