The actors were very engaging which made for a great evening. The evening was very entertaining and there was a lot of interaction between the staff and the other dinner guests. Event: The party starts the very minute you sit down. Our table guests were fun and everyone got into figuring out who did it while getting to know each other. I happen to be chosen as one of the wedding party guests (MOB) and my evening was spent going table to table trying to prove my innocence. It's a good thing I am VERY outgoing. I had to walk the bride down the aisle, get up on stage and speak into a microphone a handful of times in front of 100+ people. Don't go if you are very shy! I won best actress of the night award as well. I was so flattered! Food: They offered a very basic (no cheese) but very fresh salad with Italian & Ranch dressing. Since I don't eat cheese this was PERFECT for me and the rolls were also a nice compliment. This was followed a short while later with our chosen meal. Steak w/sautéed veggies & mash potatoes. I never add salt or pepper to any dish but the potatoes required it if I had any chance of eating them. The steak was a little tough but full of flavor and the slice of cake served at the end were fluffy, moist & very good. Service & Overall Experience: The service was great and everyone was very friendly and happy to help. The story line was cheesy but you have to expect that at these types of places. It's a time to let loose, have fun and make a bit of fun of everyone (including you) in the room. Tips & things to remember: Arrive early (45 minutes or so) to get a good table and meet your fellow party mates. A handful of people really got into character by dressing up as if they were actually part of the wedding party. This was fun to see and watch but we were dressed in nice tops & jeans which was more of what we saw. Parking is abundant...both on site and across the street. Bring CASH! Drinks are not included (other than water & coffee) but if you want alcohol or a Coke you will be charged accordingly. Also remember to tip for a job well done!

Everyday they came home excited about the day's activities. Below are their thank you's to the staff last week. We look forward to another camp next summer. - Brett I found the School of Rock Camp to be extremely worthwhile. Most of the instructors there were very helpful and understanding. Our instructors regularly checked in on us when we were working on our songs. At the beginning of the week I honestly did not think that I could progress as far as I did at the end of the week with my three songs. I thought that the School of Rock's environment was very good as well. All in all, I had a wonderful time at the School of Rock's camp. ~Son (14 years old) Bassist The school of Rock camp was really great. I made at least one new friend and learned some new games. Plus I learned a new song and got better at ghost notes. Overall I think I would want to go back next summer and do it again. - Daughter (11 years old) Drummer

Even more impressive to me is his new budding understanding of music theory and his ability to apply what he learns at School of Rock to multiple instruments. Just the other week he wrote his first song on our keyboard that mainly collects dust.....and it really sounded great! I can only credit that to the skill set he's developing with School of Rock! I, on the other hand, have been blown out of the water with my bass teacher, Evan. He is hands down the best music teacher I've ever had. I was a bit nervous to begin taking lessons again as an adult....mainly because I know I had developed some "bad habits" in playing, lost a lot of the knowledge of music theory I had prior to taking a 10ish year hiatus from playing but I also don't have a ton of interest in relearning how to sight read (or even read sheet music at all since tabs are so readily available now compared to when I was a young whipper snapper ). Evan makes learning fun, he's clearly passionate about what he does and it comes across in every interaction I have with him as well as anytime I see him interacting with another student. I appreciate so much that he does not force me to learn to read music or memorize scales, but rather takes a very pragmatic approach with me going over shapes, teaching me compositions that aren't just fun to play but improve my skill set and ability to apply what we go over to multiple aspects of playing bass (and any instrument really). Last night for example, my son finished his lesson a little ahead of me and Evan warmly welcomed him into our lesson, included him in conversation and generally treated him with kindness and respect rather than an irritating little kid which was the impression I got from many of my early music teachers. I can not say enough good things about the team at School of Rock in lynnwood. Whether you're looking for your child, or looking for yourself it is an amazing experience and worth every Penny.

Even when you are right in front of it, you worry that you might be at the wrong door. There's plenty of parking and some stairs to the theater on both sides of the complex (I believe there is handicapped access in the back). We saved some money by getting our tickets on groupon via goldstar. Picking up tickets a few minutes before the show at the will call desk was pretty easy. Its also good to know there are beverages available should you desire something to drink. This theater is pretty small, making all seats good seats. We were able to see the stage easily, although like most older theaters seating is a bit cramped. It was also a bit warm in the theater. We saw The female of the species which was an enjoyable comedy about a subject matter that appeals to me. I appreciated the sign in the lobby alerting me that there were gun shots to be expected during the performance. It was also helpful of them to discuss how to become season ticket holders prior to the show, prices are very reasonable and even cheaper for seniors. We definitely thought this made for a nice evening out and plan to check out some of the other upcoming shows.
