The billing office is my bone of contention. Their lack of follow up with me has been pretty much non existent. They billed one of my companies but not the 2nd one. Also I paid the balance with my credit card. I am suppose to have a credit. I asked if could be credited to my crown this month and still no response. Jace told me while I was getting my cleaning earlier this month she would get back to me. That never happened! I have had to call numerous times. I miss Sheila terribly. The new owner equals a large staff turnover. (things that make you go hmmmm) I have paid over 15K for work with the previous owners and never experienced the lack of customer service that I have in the past 4 months. I hope they can get it together.

Everyone there is pleasant, welcoming, kind, and seem to genuinely enjoy being there. It's hard to calm dental anxiety, but the level of care and peacefulness the office brings is refreshing and so welcome. I walked out of my cleaning today and said "I am so glad I switched to this office!" Highly recommend if you are in need of a new place. The ONLY thing that can be tough is that parking can be tricky if you have a larger vehicle. That said there are many nearby lots within a short walking distance if the office lot is full.

Never thought I'd be saying this about a dentist's office, but I LOVE it here!!…read more I had my first appointment at Full Heart this morning after not having seen a dentist for probably 5 years (eek), and I could not have been happier I chose here. I specifically wanted to go here because it was so obvious from their website that they put a lot of effort into being a trauma informed practice (they provide things like light sensitivity glasses, numbing options, blankets, and a lots of others as well). I don't have any medical or dental trauma, but I really appreciated that this practice is aware of and attuned to the fear and anxieties that many people face when going to the dentist, and have a place on the new patient intake form to note if you are fearful so that they can be sure to give you some extra TLC. We need more practices like this!! Upon entering, I could not get over how beautiful the lobby was! Seriously, look at that photo! The receptionist was so kind and lovely, and a dental assistant was out to get me to begin my exam within about 2 minutes. I was then ushered back for a brief tour around the office before being taken to my exam room. If I thought the lobby was good.... the exam rooms are really like your typical dentist office exam rooms, EXCEPT that each room has a TV for patients to watch during their exam that is tuned to the Bob Ross channel! So wholesome. So calming. It literally made my day. I was seen by Dr. Hernandez who really took the time to ensure I was comfortable and understood everything he was telling me. My exam was extremely thorough and I felt like I was in great hands. I'm glad I loved it here, since I'll be back to get some cavities fill in the coming weeks! Wooo!

Pittsford Family Dental & Periodontist 3592 Monroe Ave…read morePittsford, NY 14534 (585) 248-5250 pittsfordfamilydental.com I've been coming to this family practice for over seven years. At my most recent dental cleaning appointment, I was disappointed to learn that Lottie, the dental hygienist I've been seeing for quite some time, was no longer with the practice. Lottie was always welcoming and consistently made a point to check in on how I was doing while performing her work. She was thorough, gentle, and thoughtful--someone who made you feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her presence always added a sense of ease to the appointment. Unfortunately, my experience with the new hygienist was quite different. Although she was technically thorough, she was not very welcoming or personable. I sensed it immediately--from the first moment she looked at me as I turned the corner. It was clear this would be a very different kind of experience. Dental cleanings can be uncomfortable to begin with, and when the person working inches from your face seems disconnected or indifferent, it only magnifies the discomfort. I didn't feel like a patient--I felt like a task. An object. Just a mouth being cleaned. It was a deeply unsettling feeling. Thankfully, when the dentist came in, she was as warm and professional as always. Her kindness offered a moment of relief, and for a second, I thought she may have sensed something was off. My own demeanor had shifted--I couldn't wait to leave. Despite the positive interaction with the dentist, it wasn't enough to offset the earlier experience. When it came time to schedule my next appointment, I requested a different hygienist. I won't put myself in that situation again. Recommendation: I sincerely hope the practice sees this review as an opportunity for reflection and provides constructive feedback to the hygienist involved. Interpersonal connection and emotional intelligence are just as important in patient care as clinical skills. Lastly, a broader piece of feedback for the practice: I'd love to see, over time, an increase in African American, Hispanic American and neurodiverse staff members, reflective of the growing diversity in the patient population. Representation matters--in both care and comfort. Kevin

However, today's visit was extremely disappointing. My son has special needs, and consistency and familiarity are very important for his comfort and cooperation during appointments. Despite this, he was assigned a different hygienist without any prior notice or consideration for his needs. On top of that, we were made to wait while another patient who arrived after us was taken ahead of him. There was no explanation, acknowledgment, or apology at the time. When I brought my concerns to the front desk, the only response I received was, "we dropped the ball," which felt dismissive and did not address the situation in a meaningful way. This entire experience showed a lack of communication, sensitivity, and respect for my son's needs. I truly hope this office takes feedback like this seriously and makes improvements, especially when it comes to accommodating patients with special needs. Because of this review I wrote on Google I was called and told me my husband and 4 children can't be seen at this office anymore because I blasted them to the world.

To further elaborate, the entire staff at Elmwood Dental Group is incredible.. dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff-literally everyone there! Elmwood Dental Group make visiting the dentist an extremely pleasurable experience. More recently, my four year-old son fell face first onto a bench while visiting the Strong Museum of Play. With a quick call to Elmwood Dental, they had us in office in less than an hour. Their staff are so amazing with the little ones! Dr. Chris made his x-ray super painless, and as much fun as a four year-old can have getting an x-ray on a tender tooth. Dr. Comfort even gave out her cell number in case he had an issue over the weekend, while the office was closed. Additionally, I want to add that Kayla, the hygienist who worked on my two young boys, made it so fun for them, it seemed like a playdate. Same goes with the filling that Dr. Comfort performed on my older son. He was genuinely enjoying himself and having fun the whole time. I love this practice and would recommend it to anyone in need of dental care. Which is everyone, really. My family has only been going here for about a month, but already the staff feel like family. Thanks for being so awesome Elmwood Dental Group!!! I appreciate you.
