At my most recent dental cleaning appointment, I was disappointed to learn that Lottie, the dental hygienist I've been seeing for quite some time, was no longer with the practice. Lottie was always welcoming and consistently made a point to check in on how I was doing while performing her work. She was thorough, gentle, and thoughtful--someone who made you feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her presence always added a sense of ease to the appointment. Unfortunately, my experience with the new hygienist was quite different. Although she was technically thorough, she was not very welcoming or personable. I sensed it immediately--from the first moment she looked at me as I turned the corner. It was clear this would be a very different kind of experience. Dental cleanings can be uncomfortable to begin with, and when the person working inches from your face seems disconnected or indifferent, it only magnifies the discomfort. I didn't feel like a patient--I felt like a task. An object. Just a mouth being cleaned. It was a deeply unsettling feeling. Thankfully, when the dentist came in, she was as warm and professional as always. Her kindness offered a moment of relief, and for a second, I thought she may have sensed something was off. My own demeanor had shifted--I couldn't wait to leave. Despite the positive interaction with the dentist, it wasn't enough to offset the earlier experience. When it came time to schedule my next appointment, I requested a different hygienist. I won't put myself in that situation again. Recommendation: I sincerely hope the practice sees this review as an opportunity for reflection and provides constructive feedback to the hygienist involved. Interpersonal connection and emotional intelligence are just as important in patient care as clinical skills. Lastly, a broader piece of feedback for the practice: I'd love to see, over time, an increase in African American, Hispanic American and neurodiverse staff members, reflective of the growing diversity in the patient population. Dentist appointments are not my favorite thing in the whole world, actually not even close, BUT I don't mind scheduling an appointment here at all. I definitely recommend this practice especially for a transitioning 23 year old like me. Adult doctors are scary, this place is not.

I had the best cleaning session ever, Dr. Nate goes tooth by tooth very patiently, he did a good job on the the filling too. The crown was really top-notch work! The color matches the other teeth perfectly and it has great details (which really makes a difference for biting and brushing). I have had 8 dentists in my life and I can tell that Dr. Nate is outstanding. He does a great job and he answers all my questions with great information, which I really appreciate. All the clinic crew are very friendly and professional. The reminder-text is nice to have too. I recommended Dr. Nate to a friend for his young child, which went very well. Pittsford Hearing and Balance is staffed by a male and female doctor of audiology. Dr. King is…read moreprobably the most obnoxious care professional I have ever met. A hearing aid repair that was billed to the practice was passed on to me at $150. I saw this as King was scrolling through the information on the computer about the repair. He said he had to pay the bills....oh well. Doubling the repair price to the customer is kind of steep for elderly patients. He has a very condescending way about him. I only went there because it was convenient. I found another provider in Rochester who coincidentally used to be at that practice, but is quite different regarding how they treat patients. Also, if you go to this practice, you will be inundated with phone calls for setting up hearing tests and hearing aid cleanings. You may think, oh great, I will have my hearing aid cleaned, and you might think it is free, but they bill the insurance company for most types of visits. So I guess this means that my $5000 hearing aids are only worth $2500, not even. My mother, who is 90, lost her hearing aid. I purchased an over the counter hearing aid that serves my mom very well. In fact, I bought two, for a total of $100 online. I tried them; they were terrific. Elizabeth Warren is the co-sponsor of a bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to categorize certain hearing aids as over-the-counter hearing aids and issue regulations regarding those hearing aids. The regulations for over-the-counter hearing aids must: (1) provide reasonable assurances of safety and efficacy; (2) establish output limits and labeling requirements; and (3) describe requirements for the sale of hearing aids in-person, by mail, or online, without a prescription. This is an important bill that I hope will be passed. Don't pay $5000 for a pair of hearing aids unless you have to!

I had to have a ROOT CANAL ! I didn't even like the thought of that. I put off making the…read moreappointment for 2 weeks. My tooth hurt the whole time. I finally called the Pittsford office and set it up. Dr. Harp Deol did an amazing job ! He explained every step as he went and showed the instruments. It was honestly easier than getting a filling! I was eating soft food later that night with NO discomfort from my tooth or jaw at all. The next day I didn't know I ever had the procedure done !! Never took a tylonal or Advil. I will never worry about a root canal again. I'll just go see Dr Harp Deol again !!! The entire office was very friendly and easy to work with. 5 star experience.
