Who knew you could love going to a dentist???? Well Dr. Hughes and Nicole made me a believer. Being…read morehere means obviously I was having a dental emergency. From the phone call to making the appointment to walking out, the service was excellent. Dr.H and Nicole were so thorough and thoughtful. Gave options vs just jumping in to make money. Absolutely recommend if ever in need. Are cleanings emergencies?? Lol That's how much I'd love to go back. But won't be sad if I'm not. Thank you for such great care!!! Also, they do NOT take insurance BUT if you bring you insurance information, they will submit a claim for direct payment back to you.

I made an appointment specifically to see an endodontist and was told I could be treated the same…read moreday for a root canal. That was the entire reason I chose this office. When I arrived, there was no endodontist on staff. Instead, I was seen by a general dentist who simply told me what I already knew about my condition and was unable to provide the treatment I was scheduled for. I had already brought my own recent 3D x-rays, but they couldn't even view them and insisted on taking another x-ray that I didn't need. The most frustrating part: no treatment was done, no resolution was provided, and I was still charged $175. The entire experience felt misleading and unnecessary. I came in expecting urgent, specialized care and left feeling like I paid for nothing. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

This dentist is now practicing under the name "McKinley Crossing Dental". This was the single worst…read moreexperience I have ever had with a doctor's office. First, they failed to include me in a conversation with either of my children, including one where the dentist took it upon himself to scare my son with horror stories about the potential complications of his TMJ. When I finally invited myself back into the room, the dentist talked to me while staring at the floor. It was weird, to say the least. There were two other patients in the waiting room, both of whom were having multiple cavities filled. Amazingly, my son was diagnosed with SEVEN cavities and my daughter with two.(Neither kid has ever had a cavity.) The hygienist accused me of not providing fluoride toothpaste for my kids, and doubted me openly when I said that I do. Behind my back, they then falsely told my son that our usual brands did not contain fluoride. It was bizarre. I was made to feel like a terrible mother. After a consult with an actual dental professional, my son was diagnosed with "perfect" enamel, saving me the $1200 they quoted for fillings. My daughter will be evaluated next, but you can bet that the additional $300 they quoted for her fillings won't be necessary either. Next, they told my son his wisdom teeth needed to come out right away. This may or may not be true, but at the same time the receptionist handed me the $1600 quote, she quietly told me I should take him elsewhere, to an oral surgeon. The night after the kids had their cleanings, they were both in a lot of pain. My daughter was actually crying. The office is now hounding me, trying to get me to bring the kids in for fillings and the extractions. I cannot warn people enough that this dentist appears to be a scam artist, and his hygienist is a brute. I note that he appears to move around a bit, and that his current office had no trouble getting my kids back-to-back appointments immediately. It suggests that he is not exactly in demand, and I can see why. 9/29/17- As an update, I took both my children to WNY Dental Group this past week. As I suspected, the office confirmed again that my son has NO cavities, and that his enamel is "perfect". My daughter was also confirmed to have no cavities. I intend to file a professional complaint against this dentist's license.

I was lied to about my insurance being in network. Scammed for my first appointment making me pay…read morefor both my cleaning and exam, when they knew that the first exam was free to new patients. When this problem was addressed to many different employees, the blame was continuedly passed on to a different employee. At one point, the excuse of employees who are younger in age was used. Do not go here! This is nothing but bait n switch, they do not take insurance but will lure you in…read morewith 'free' xrays, which are not free. I did not know at the time when I went for the consult that they didn't take insurance. My daughter is writhing in pain from impacted wisdom teeth and I had to find an oral surgeon that DOES take insurance. Westermeier will not even give a referral, however Christina in the office told me she would send the xrays to me and the new surgeon via email. Well, I still needed to get the referral piece so I had to make a separate appointment with a local dentist in the Falls who can see my daughter tomorrow. They asked if I had xrays to send to them to speed up the process. I called back to Westermeier to ask that they send them to the dentist so I can get the referral and now Lynn tells me that Christina is 'new' and didn't know the policy and that they would not send me the xrays unless I paid $199! I told her I had been talking to Christina and she was going to send them and Lynn said she 'made a mistake.' It's really not my fault that someone is giving out wrong information but Christina also knew the dire situation we were in to try and get her teeth done. She even sent me the Hipaa form so she could release them to me. Not only is this practice cruel when telling them that my daughter was laying in pain with the impacted teeth, but they held a referral and now the xrays hostage, causing us all this unnecessary calling, trying to get appointments and running around to help her. Big deal if they give xrays for free! They only take cash payments so sure, throwing in xrays seems like a great deal but who in their right mind would pay out of pocket if they have insurance? Give me $10k and I'll figure out a way to get you xrays too! These people are horrible. I cannot believe the lack of compassion or kindness as I was crying on the phone begging them to help my daughter. Shame on them!!!!
