Confirmed my appointment, double booked my slot, didn't receive communication that my appointment was given away to someone else. Walked in and questioned as if I had no appointment at all. This was not a good experience for me, my schedule is super locked tight busy and this business dropped the ball and made it worse with their lack of customer service. I was spoken to from across the room which was distasteful. I found a friendly dental office over the phone after this horrible experience, they were nice enough to fit me as a new patient.

Best root canal...EVER!!…read more And, I'll say this...I definitely want to be Dr. Sandra Shostad when I grow up [all the way]! I had an excellent experience at this endodontist. I wasn't in any pain, but I needed a root canal and this office is in-network for both my GEHA and Cigna dental insurance plans. The office is located on Main St. in Williamsville. You turn onto S. Long St. and you'll see that it's on the tail-end of the building. The signage isn't super obvious, so keep an eye out. And they do have parking spaces for you. Check-in was quick and simple. The front office (Lisa) had already called my general dentist to get the tooth and insurance information. So, I filled out a couple standard forms and was almost immediately called in to be seen. The root canal went perfectly, as far as I can tell. It was near painless during the procedure and I have yet to experience much discomfort afterwards. What more can you ask for? It did seem like my tooth presented a couple surprises and took awhile (as is typical), but Dr. Shostad kept me at ease the whole time. Her and her assistant (Jacky) have a great chemistry. I felt like I was getting a personal comedy show and it was hilarious...Dr. Shostad the comic and Jacky the straight man. Hey, hopefully you don't need an endodontist anytime soon...but, this is definitely the place to go if you do. :-)

I was extremely nervous to have this procedure done as it was my first major dental procedure. Dr. St. Marie was so kind and understanding. He explained everything to me in detail and took breaks when I needed it. He showed me all the tools he was going to use and explained the "possible" risks. I was very worried about the pain after as well, but I actually felt great. I had a little jaw pain but after holding my mouth open for 2 hours, someone yanking and tugging, I didn't expect to be pain free. Can't forget about the dental assistant Joe. The endodonist quoted me $3000 cash only which I didnt have. I stopped by Sheridan Family Dental to for teeth cleaning and was told I missed the appointment. I must have written it diwn wrong. They refused to reschedule me. i then asked id they could refer me to an oral surgeon to extract the bad tooth since I couldnt afford the root canal and crown andrhe dentist came out and said i was no longer their patient cause I didnt follow the treatment plan. Despite my explanation that I didnt have $3000, he told me yo leave. I had been a patient there for over 40 years! Clearly for them it is all about MONEY!

I was injected incorrectly with novocaine, it was injected into a nerve bundle as he said. I instantly lost vision in my left eye and my heart rate spiked and I could not breathe, due to the epinephrine in the injection. I was okay and back to normal after about 10 minutes. I already did not like going to the dentist before and now I do not ever want to go back. This has never happened to me before with other dentists and I have had many fillings with novocaine. It may have been a fluke, but I am not taking any chances of this happening again. I also was not followed up with after this experience. I did have a great experience with my hygienist though, she was very nice and caring. Unfortunately, I will be moving my dentist office elsewhere as this was a horrible and traumatic experience for me!

They asked me when the last time I went to a dentist was and were shocked that I had seen one 6.5 months ago. They asked what my last dentist had said about my teeth after that appointment and I reported that I was told that there was no problems, no cavities. I'm pretty sure that they either think I'm lying or are just laughing at me at this point. Because it's hard to believe that now I need 3 crowns replaced and have 7 cavities and may even need a tooth or two extracted completely and this just all happened within the 6 months since my last time at a dentist. It's probably a good thing that I was forced to find a new dentist by my insurance.
