The dental assistants are extremely gentle and thorough while doing cleanings. The staff up front is also friendly and helpful as well. I had been going to this dentist for over 20 years, but recently was told they weren't taking my insurance anymore so I had to find a new one. The new dentist I saw was so much more thorough, did many more xrays and spent so much more time on my cleaning and exam. They asked me when the last time I went to a dentist was and were shocked that I had seen one 6.5 months ago. They asked what my last dentist had said about my teeth after that appointment and I reported that I was told that there was no problems, no cavities. I'm pretty sure that they either think I'm lying or are just laughing at me at this point. Because it's hard to believe that now I need 3 crowns replaced and have 7 cavities and may even need a tooth or two extracted completely and this just all happened within the 6 months since my last time at a dentist. I needed an emergency appointment I was called for a 9:15am appt. I arrived at 9:14am filled paper work out sat there 55 minutes wasn't called in. I should be billing the office my fee for wasting my time. KIM the front desk receptionist is VERY RUDE to say the least she obviously hates her job she is unprofessional no customer service skills at all. I'm surprised she is at the front window KIM IS VERY RUDE inconsiderate unprofessional. I have been a patient for over 16 years. Dr Oddo and all of the hygienists are spectacular. I recently missed an appointment for a cleaning due to the ice storm. I was nervous about driving and forgot and was charged $50. I asked if it could be waived as I am in the middle of a couple of big issues that have been affecting my oral health since November. They refused despite our long professional relationship. The office manager told me I would receive no further treatment unless I paid $50 and suggested I find a new dentist. Had a cleaning and X-rays today. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. Kiki my dental hygienist was thorough and efficient. Dr. Rococo gave me expert advice on the filling that fell out. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There were covid protocols in place. Considering I had been going to my previous dentist for over 15 years and had to change, I'm glad I selected Advantage Dentistry. They were very organized and helpful and supported me with all my transitioning needs from my previous dentist to them. The only issue I had was is parking. Based on where they are located it's difficult to park but, that is out of their control. There is street parking so, it's not that serious. read more

Now I will tell you I have the worst anxiety when it comes to the dentist. Had an unfortunate infected tooth that had to be pulled today. The ladies at the desk were so helpful and calming. Place is a little cluttered because they are updating and renovating the space. X rays are done right in the chair and simple. The hygienist was wonderful and Dr. Lawson was laid back and informative. Not at all condescending or disrespectful. Most other dentists I've seen were. While there, I was informed I had other cavities, and a fractured tooth. Was asked when I went to a dentist last. I have been going to Advantage Dentistry for a very long time going back to when Dr. S owned the practice. Recently had terrible jaw pain which I though was a TMJ problem but want to make sure it was not a tooth because pain radiated from my ear to my teeth. Got an appointment right away and they took an x-ray and said everything was fine with my teeth and was given a referral to a TMJ specialist. I still had horrible pain, especially in my back molar so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. It turns out there was a crack in the molar that was giving me the pain and that dentist thought I needed a root canal - so was sent to an endodontist who has 3D imaging. They diagnosed a bad crack that was not fixable with a crown or a root canal - the tooth needs to be pulled and now I have to see an oral surgeon. Not really sure how this crack was missed on the x-rays taken by Advantage Dentistry. It is my back molar that has a very large, old filling in it which probably should have been replaced. They always told me at my cleanings that everything was good and would get what seems like a 2 second look at my teeth by the dentist. They take x-rays frequently and can't believe that this crack was missed. so glad I went to get a second opinion! The new dentist was very thorough and really checked all my teeth! I would have gone to a TMJ specialist and gone through all kinds of imaging and tests just to find out it was a tooth after all! Very disappointed. After being in considerable pain, and visits to an Endo went to my dentist and he was able to extract my tooth easily. The minute pain post extraction is nothing compared to the burning and pain I was living with. I am so grateful to Dr Oddo for his expertise as well as his kindness. read more

I went here a few years back and I just did not like the service. I was told I had a ton of little cavities in my front teeth. I knew that I didn't. I was refused pictures of my X-ray. I went back to this dentist recently and it was completely different. I got shown my X-rays, and also got told that I had no cavities, but I need a wisdom tooth pulled. The hygienist was so sweet and made the trip worth it. Glad this is not too far from home either. read more

The number 1 reason I go regularly to my 2 appointments per year is the amazingly kind, gentle, caring hands of my hygienist. Her name is Donna and I only schedule an appointment when I know she is working. I have been going here for about 5 years. Have not had a problem. That is until today. About 5 months ago i kept getting an abscess in witch i told them i also have a tooth impacted. They recommended a root canal which cost me over $1000. Got that done no problem. A month later guess what the same area still with the abscess. I call to get amoxicillin to bring the infection down and to set an appointment. They said they put it in the script and days go by and nothing.rite aid never got the script. By the time i realized with my busy schedule that abscess had already gone away. 2 days ago it came back again. I called today for the same thing, to get amoxicillin and set up an appointment. That never happened ! I was told by I believe "Nancy" that because i missed an appointment I was a charged $50 and until i pay those $50 there's nothing that they can do. I proceeded to interrupt her and said I've spent thousands of dollars here and because i have a $50 balance that I had no idea about, your going to treat me like this and not put in the script like you "did before". Mean while i was saying that she was blabbin saying to not interrupt her. Because she could not get a word in she hung up. Well guess what advantage dentistry. Just as easy as it was to hang up is just as easy I can call and find a new dentist office. See ya. I hadn't been to a dentist in far too long. They got me in, did some x-rays, and did an initial consult and cleaning. They weren't preachy, and didn't make me feel bad for not having visited a dentist in so long (they did ask why though, of course). The customer service is excellent, and the wait times are very short (as a rule, it seems - the few times I've been in so far). I was having a crown put in, and the temporary crown had come loose one morning a week or so before the permanent one came in. I called, and they had me in, and from the time I'd called to the time I returned it was less than 45 minutes (less than 10 of which I was actually in the building). There was a bit of confusion in scheduling the cementing of the permanent crown. I got a call the day before, telling me to come in, even though my appointment wasn't until the next week. I was confused, but I came in anyway. When I got in, the receptionist was confused, and told me my appointment wasn't until the following week. I told them about the call I'd gotten, and they said not to worry; I was in a chair getting the permanent crown put in a few minutes later. The crown is for one of my front teeth, and looks great, by the way. :) I can't compare them to other dentists, since it's been so long for me, but I can say Advantage Dentistry does excellent work, and I'm extremely happy that I ended up choosing them. read more

While the dentist was amazing, I, unfortunately was treated like a second rate citizen by one of the staff. As it was my second visit I was decently away of the flow of the office, however, not only was I told that secretary changed my appointment without my knowledge (after being called twice to confirm my appointment), I was notified that my folder was never even pulled. This was all the while I was speaking with the staff at multiple times to confirm that my appointment was actually in the system (which I only did because of how strange the entire situation became). I tried to ascertain why the situation was what it was and the woman - I should have caught her name - cut me off, and closed the glass window, while the other secretary watched. I've been to other dentists, doctors, obviously. I'm used to waiting for hours, if need be. However, this was simply unacceptable. read more

I am very pleased with Advantage Dentistry. Everyone is very nice and professional. They are upfront with you about what needs to be done, as well as the cost of everything. No suprise fees or pushy sales people, which is really nice. They really do everything to make it a pleasant experience (well as pleasant as a dentist appt can be). They also deal with dental emergencies anytime 24/7. Even if the office is closed you can still call and get the number for the on call dentist. They are looking to make money. I went into to get a crown replaced and the tooth had rotted. They put a new crown over the rotten tooth WHICH DID NOT FIT. As the nerve in the tooth died they said the excruciating pain I was feeling was due to me grinding my teeth and tried to sell me a $300 night guard. It was only when I sought a second opinion did they clean it out and fixed my by this time infected jaw. The root canal I received from Stellar dental ended my 6 months of misery and my tooth no longer hurt. The dentist advised me if they had left it alone I would've probably had an abscess and required surgery. DO NOT GO TO ADVANTAGE DENTISTRY. If your considering going to them try pulling your teeth with pair of pliers in your own bathroom at home with a bottle of whiskey. It'll probably hurt less and be safer. read more
