They called at 3:54 pm when they close at 4 and I had an appointment the day after at 7 am to tell me they wanted to cancel the cleaning.
    Lila B.

I had a really disappointing experience at this practice (With Dr Elana Korn) and wasted a lot of unnecessary time. Had I read their other reviews I wouldn't have gone there. I was looking for a new dentist and made a new patient appointment plus cleaning on 8/9/21. The office looked grungy and outdated but the girl that did my cleaning was phenomenal, so against my better judgement I decided to give them an opportunity to earn my business. After my new patient appointment they recommended two fillings. I requested them to be on the same day but they told me they'd rather spread them apart. So we made two back to back appointments, one on 9/14 at 1 pm and one the following day on 9/15 at 8:30 am. When I came to the office for my appointment on 9/14 the doctor did one filling and although we hadn't planned this in advance, also removed two permanent retainers for me that I had from previous ortho work and I was there for about 2 hours. I was feeling a lot of discomfort so after the work had been done I stopped at the receptionist desk for an additional 10-15 minutes to cancel my appointment for the following day, I also had them check the cost of ordering me removable retainers and also scheduled a new patient appointment for my boyfriend and scheduled another cleaning for myself for 12/22/21 at 7 am because my insurance doesn't require them to be 6 months apart and I receive compensation from my employer if I have both done in a calendar year. I told them I'd call back to schedule the second filling later. When I went home that day I was feeling so much pain at the site of the filling that I called into work the following day. The pain persisted about an entire week (which is something I've never experienced with fillings before) and to this day the site of the filling feels higher than the rest of my teeth and food gets stuck in it and it's sensitive to cold. A few days before my 12/22 cleaning appointment I got an ambiguous bill in the mail from them without any details for $111 that was marked 60 days late! I figured I'd discuss it with them when I showed up for my cleaning and also talk about all my issues with that previous filling. When I got there at 7 am for my cleaning, before I could talk about any of this, they asked if I got their voicemail about my cleaning appointment today because they were wondering why it was scheduled 4 months from the first one? I should've known this was a bad sign since they didn't remember what we discussed last time. I checked my phone and noticed they had called me 6 minutes before their closing the day before, for a 7 am appointment today! So I explained it to them again. Then I asked if they could tell me what the bill was for because there weren't any details on it. I was told that $61 was for the filling they had done last time and $50 was a no show fee from 9/15! I explained to them that the 9/15 appointment was canceled in their office. I was actually talking to the same lady who had helped me cancel it and schedule a new appointment for my boyfriend and another cleaning for myself but she didn't remember me (Older lady with short blond hair). A very rude younger lady in the background kept interjecting and arguing with me. She said she checked with the Dr. and I had verbally confirmed with her that I'd be coming back the following day on 9/15, while she was performing my filling! Can people actually talk while work is being performed on their teeth? Obviously this never happened nor could have happened and is also irrelevant because I canceled the appointment before I left their office on 8/9/21. Anyways I paid them the fee because I don't want to ruin my credit score but told them I'd never go there again. I drove all the way from Grand Island for this. A major waste of time and money. They extracted 50 frivolous dollars from me and also cost me the $100 I won't be getting from my employer because there's no time to be seen by another place by the end of the year. And now I need to figure out what's wrong with the filling they did in September. They chose to lose two customers but not stand behind their own mistake.

I needed deep cleanings and gum care when I first arrived; they put me on a plan where I came in four times a year for cleanings rather than just twice a year, to ensure that I received the best care possible. I had other services done, like removing/replacing mercury fillings and fixing old fillings that had cracked. I was always happy with the work done. I even received a call one night after-hours from Dr. Wood when he could tell I'd had a particularly rough time during a procedure, just to make sure I was feeling okay. I was always impressed with the technology in the office; it seemed like every time I went in I noticed something they'd added or something that I'd never seen before in previous dentists' offices. My hygienist, Amanda H, is also highly recommended. In addition to being extremely professional and competent, she would remember things about my life and ask me about them during my visits. She swore she never took notes, she just remembered! And this wasn't just because I was coming in four times a year so I was a more recognizable face; my husband only went in twice a year and she'd remember personal details about his life, too. My only "complaint" is that the patient chair in Dr. Wood's procedure room is MUCH more plush and comfortable than the normal chairs in the hygienists' cleaning rooms. Imagine the increased teeth-cleaning experience if those were located in every room!

After coming back here, I've noticed some changes. Yeah, they could update their office a bit - but if it works, it works. My issue is that, upon returning, I've had a newer dentist that doesn't have bedside manner. Very gruff, short and to the point, and not really explanatory. I can be alright with that if you're competent and good at your job. But, in the times I've been, it seems like he goes out of his way to activate my gag reflex. Yes, I have one and I warn people about it - but if you're in my mouth and then just start wriggling around, of course I'm going to gag. What was the reason for you to start doing that? And, if there is a reason, let me know - part of a gag reflex is a control thing. Also, if I've just gagged, don't ask if you can try again 10 seconds later - there's a process to gain composure and it takes time. I've worked with a bunch of dentists. The best ones operate on a consent model - "I'm going to do this now, okay?" is a very clear and powerful question. It makes the process easier and it is communicative. The hygienists here are usually pretty good. Friendly and probably trying to make up for the fact that they have someone who doesn't relate to patients well. Cleanings have been generally pretty good for me in the past few years. Quick, easy, and I'm out. I miss Dr. Burgler! Lastly, I sent in a payment a month ago yet got a reminder bill for the same payment. I'm pretty sure it's their office not processing the payment quick enough - not me having never sent a payment. So, how about a chill?

Dr. Martinez is awesome--funny, conversational, remembers things about you from previous visits, etc. More to the point, however, when I asked during a regular cleaning about Invisalign for some cosmetic improvements to me teeth, he said that he could do a procedure (selective grinding with some additional bonding) that would accomplish the same thing for much, much cheaper. So I gave it a go: and $240 and about an hour in the chair later, my teeth look light years better than they did before. We'll see how the bonding holds up (although at that price, a couple of years is easily worth it), but I can't really imagine what else I could want out of a dentist's office.

Dr. Martinez genuinely cares about his patients also which does go a long way. His warm demeanor and acceptance of my insurance almost entirely for all procedures had me continue to go there despite the fact that waiting for anything other than a cleaning was often an hour or more beyond the appointment time. That being said, having now been removed for several years, but still seeing dentists regularly, flossing, brushing and getting regular cleanings all of the work I had done there has deteriorated. My crown wasn't sealed and caused the tooth beneath to decay leading to a root canal and infection--- an infection that has been in the tooth long enough to calcify the roots; the fillings have fallen out broken or needed replacing. Several teeth that have been worked on have had to be repaired. While I understand that the fixes and fillings aren't permanent or guaranteed, they have all simultaneously started breaking down and seems to be too coincidental.

So I've been a patient here for a little over a year and a half now. It is almost impossible for me to request a refill (for my endometriosis prescription)over the phone. Nobody knows what they're doing. I call their number and the receptionists sound like they don't know what to do with this information. Each time, they are very rude to me. I get told "I'm gonna give you to a nurse" and then I'm bounced around from different nurses not knowing what to do for my refill. This happens every month, since my doctor there puts a request for refill on each prescription, so I have to reach out to them. Sometimes, I'm told "oh I'll send this to a nurse and they'll call you back"... and days will pass by, nobody calls me and no refills were sent through. But today was the last straw, I saw my GP for an issue and she said I needed to see my gyno right away as it was growing to be a serious issue. So I called, and I explained my situation, asking if I could schedule the earliest appointment they had. I get rudely spoken to over the phone by the receptionist who claimed "well I see you have a check up in April, that's probably when they'll see you. But I'll send this to a nurse. They'll call you back". And then hung up on me. So I already know the chances of someone calling me back are slim to none. It is March 24th. My appointment is for April 28th. That is over a month away. Now, I understand if that is the soonest they could see me. But this isn't a routine check up. It's a concerning issue, and to be rudely spoken to for no reason, and told that someone will call me back and just hung up on, that is so unprofessional. I'm upset because I have an issue that is concerning me and I just would like to be treated with empathy. I'm upset because no matter who I seem to talk to, I get rudely spoken to, and talked down to. I'm upset due to the lack for unprofessionalism that seems to be everywhere in this doctors office. I do not recommend this place.

I have been going to this place for the last 4 years and honestly, this is the first time I have had any issue with them. The blame goes to the receptionist because the dentists and the hygienists are actually very nice and considerate. The receptionist on the other hand, has no regard for people's time, is rude and does not own a mistake when she makes one. I had my appointment at 3 pm today. I get a message around 1:50 pm that my hygienist is free early and asking if I could come in sooner. I check my work schedule, talk to my boss and decide to go early to accommodate THEIR request. I text back saying I can be there by 2:40 pm and they reply saying OK. I get there and am asked to be seated. It is now 3 pm and I am upset that I had to get permission to leave early just to sit in the waiting area. I ask the receptionist what the point of asking me to come early was and she goes in to inquire. Apparently, even though they knew I was coming early, they gave another patient to my hygienist right before I arrived. I am not attended to until 3:10 pm so essentially I came in early for no reason. The hygienist was polite and apologized even though it is not her fault to be assigned a patient while waiting for me. On the other hand, the receptionist is extremely rude to me, does not apologize once and when I point out that they shouldn't have texted me when they weren't ready for me, all she says is "that was not our intention". Well, clearly it was because you CHOSE to assign another patient to my hygienist while knowing that I am on my way coming in early at your request. I am away from my work desk a lot more than I needed to be because of her and she takes no accountability. If the management sees this, I hope they talk to the lady at the reception so she doesn't treat anyone this way in the future.
