I called because I had cracked a tooth & needed dental care. The receptionist got me in ASAP. Kind Dr. Hoon saw me, I ended up needing an extraction. Concierge offers both implants & bridges. My insurance policy made my choice for me, but the pricing was in line with what my peers have paid recently. I wanted to also call attention to the Cherry app that they connected me with that can approve you for extended payments starting at 0% interest if that is more comfortable ;). Anyway, there was no pressure, no long waits and since it had been an uncomfortably long time since I'd had regular dental maintenance Dr. Hoon made sure that I got in for a good cleaning, the hygienist was super nice! I went there for a basic cleaning and check for cavities, because they were on my Ins. co. list. Once I got there I only saw a hygenist, who, ater a few minutes told me I needed a deep cleaning which would require 2 other visits. Also seeing a dentist was not to be that day. She perormed a little cleaning with a water pick and stopped. She would do the rest with the deep cleaning. I complained and she did a little more, but no scrapeing, polishing or dentist evaluation. I was shown to another room where a man told me that would be $1800+. He also told me they gave me a free cleaning. Not true compared to the many times in my 70+ years of experience. (That would have been covered by insurance.) They clearly are upcharging and i wonder if the hygenist works on commission. Let the patient beware! Every time I've gone to Concierge(Dr. Viktoriya) at the Clarence location I've always felt like a VIP. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The same can be said for the N. Buffalo location with Dr. Ben. I feel like I'm visiting with friends. Dr. Viktoriya did an upper and lower partial for me and they did a fantastic job. I had to get a new upper done at N. Buffalo office. We had a little hiccup with the first rendition of the new upper. So Dr. Ben called Evolution Dental Lab and set me up with an appointment with Jim the technician that was working on my upper. Jim and also the owner Andy(great guys and top notch lab) worked together and I ended up with a perfect partial. Concierge and Evolution Dental Lab will go the distance to make sure things are right. I had worked on that was so horrendous I had a bridge that was put in. That was a temporary they claim was a permanent. I've had nothing but trouble. I have to get it done again. I have a crown that came out that I have to get done again and I have another bridge that came out that I have to get done again all of which were paid for to Concierge dental to do. I went to Concierge twice. Each time I was told I needed unnecessary dental work which I declined. They then offered braces as an option. I felt that I was being sold options not covered by insurance. I received a letter that they no longer would be carrying my insurance as of March 1. i had an appointment in mid January made 6 months ago. I received a call the week before my appointment that they were canceling that appointment and they only had another availability after March 1 which I could pay out of pocket for. So last week I went for my 2nd appointment with Dr Ryan where the actual work was started. First appointment was all prep work. He was just as nice as with my consult and made me just as comfortable. The work he did was painless (after novicane obviously). I could have had the sedation but chose not to. Now I go back in 3 months for the work to be completed. This is the worst dentist bar none. Lets start by saying i was shuffled between 3 different dentist, each one saying they would fix the problem. I went in to get dentures and they had 4 chances to get them right over a year. They got the color wrong 2x to start off!!! Then they never fit right and this is after having implants put in on the bottom at their suggestion. 2 sets broke once the top and once the bottom. Come to find out they put my implants in to deep in the middle, which caused them to stress and break and rock. The bottoms always flipped up off the gums in the back letting food get in and causing extreme pain. The dentist told me that is a common complaint, and i would get used to it. Really I should get used to pain when I want to eat?!?! They decided after 4 attempts that they couldn't fix them and would rather refund me my money. Now its going to cost me more then what was refunded to get their mistakes fixed. When I brought in the paper they make you sign saying you wont sue them the receptionist accused me of threatening to car bomb them!! She stated she had spoke to me earlier in the week and I had said that. I never talked to her berceuse they wouldn't answer my phone calls or return them from the North Buffalo office. I was forced to call the Williamsville office to get a response from anyone!! I informed her that I would wait for her to call the police and have me charged with a terrorist threat. Which I believe anyone who would do that deserves. It appears they have so many upset customers that they cant keep them straight. She then said she wouldn't and that I needed to leave. I had to discontinue my relationship with Concierge Dental Group. I was a transfer patient because my dentist retired. She searched to find a dentist that was willing to accept her patients and any employees that she had, should they decide to join the practice. She felt comfortable with CDG. I was happy with the service and treatments. The staff was pleasant and professional. But, because they did not follow protocol, it cost me $900.00. I needed a crown replacement, and my insurance covers the replacements every five years. When I received a bill for the procedure, I called CDG to inquire. I was informed that the insurance denied coverage. I contacted my provider to inquire and was told the the dentist office never contacted them. Had they done so, they would been informed that I had received a crown 4 years and 10 months prior. Only two months to wait, and the procedure would have been covered. And to make matters worse, they had all of my files from my old dentist. All they had to do was check. I was under the assumption, as it has always been, that the dental practice will contact any/all patients insurer's before moving forward with any work beyond the basics like cleanings, fillings, etc. The patient is then informed what is not covered and will then decide on any work, moving forward. I was not given that courtesy. And I am now $900.00 poorer. Whether or not a person can afford to pay that amount of money or has it at the ready, is irrelevant. $1,000.00 (just shy), is a shock to anyone. Especially when the services are covered. Regardless of the great service, I am not trusting that this won't happen again. I will not be returning to CDG and I will not recommend them. Such a disappointing experience. I had thought that Dr. Blakey had seemed promising. She was well educated and appeared to be a good dentist, but I was staggered by her callous and almost cruel disinterest n my treatment. The experience I had with her and this entire group was almost enough to turn me off of dental care permanently. The assistant was apparently offended that my financee let them know I was suffering from severe anxiety at the time and their answer was don't worry, we'll take care of her you don't need to stay with her. Appalling!! Do you treat all your patients this way or just the ones on Medicaid? The final disappointment was after them lying about what my appointment would entail (actual treatment for an broken, infected tooth) they disregarded me, did an exam where Blakely accused me of fighting her, and then waited for over 15 minutes to see the patient care coordinator who should absolutely be fired. She has no concept of her job. Suggesting that people cash in 401k? What wanna suggest selling breast milk next? How dare you tell people to reach out to family. A lot of people don't have any. Don't expect trauma informed care here--expect to be further traumatized. read more

I went to the Clarence location on Transit Rd at Maple/Greiner. It was a terrific experience. They went through all my procedures with me and we came up with a treatment plan. Nellie did my deep cleaning, and she is excellent. She explains everything, is fast yet didn't hurt me - and this was a deep cleaning. The entire staff is so helpful and honestly other than some minor discomfort afterward (I had a filling too) I have to say it was the most pain-free experience I ever had at a dentist. I will continue my treatment plan with them and will continue with them as my primary dentist. read more

My son was told that they were "in network" which they weren't. Was also told that he had to pay upfront and would be reimbursed - that is totally false. They charged him almost $2000. The insurance company is denying all claims because they were ALL submitted incorrectly. It has been 9 months and we are still fighting with them. They can't fill out a Prior Authorization form correctly with the correct info, can't send it to the correct location for processing and then they won't take your calls anymore. And they couldn't care less about you unless you have premium insurance coverage. Worst dental group we have ever worked with. read more

They spend the time to make sure you understand treatment by taking photos and 3 dimensional xrays. They take almost all insurances and make sure to provide you with multiple financing options. After two visits to this high-end dental practice, , I started to feel very uncomfortable. The dentist seems nice, and helpful, but secretly whispers how many teeth need repairs to his financial person, so she can start adding up your bill.. The financing would of been $769 a month..for like 8 years. .what am I buying, a Cadillac? No, just buying their next boat or vacation home. You are truly paying for all the new 3-D printing technology and all the bells & whistles. I wish the average person could afford this, so I'll have to shop around to get some dental work. The finance office told me that the temporary posts to hold my dentures in would jiggle, and that wouldn't be a good choice. Between $50-60 thousand dollars just to be able to chew. I became aware of Dr. Ben Oppenheimer, of Concierge Dental group, after making the rounds of several of the other well reviewed options for dental implants and general dentistry in Western NY and Southern Ontario. It has been one of the best decisions I have made. I have also had my son going to Dr. Ben for almost two years now. He has completely changed his life with a full set of upper implants. I myself have 3 new implants now. He made the process smooth and pain free. Another amazing thing about Dr. Ben is his availability during emergencies. My son was in agony with a toothache in one of his bottom teeth on the July 4th weekend. He returned our call quickly. He personally took time from his holiday weekend, opened his office specifically for my son and took care of the issue. Please STOP and read this review before you make any decisions to become a patient of Concierge Dental. I was a patient two years ago. Yes, I have waited this long because that is how long it took to get "MY" money back from "MY" account with them. I had to go to the 8th District Dental Society for the return of my funds without a "Silence Clause" attached. I could not morally and in good conscience agree to a "Silence Clause". I have permanent damage that was done by the dentists at Concierge. They are a commission based dental office and I was completely unaware of this. I was told after having x-rays taken that my two back molars were severely decayed and needed to be repaired and capped. I agreed, because I trusted "ALL" the dentists at Concierge including the dental hygienists, who goes right along with the lies. You see them on TV looking so trustworthy and pleasant. Turns out my molars (#18 & #19) were in fact totally healthy. The molars were not only drilled to the gum line, but a root was hit and I ended up needing an emergency root canal, which was stretched out over 3 weeks. They sent me to an endodontist; they refused to fix their mistake. I now have permanent nerve damage. The end result was nothing like we discussed. I have to be very conscious of everything I eat. I am in constant pain. I had to go elsewhere to have the caps they placed removed because they were never measured correctly or placed correctly. I was on a liquid diet for 2 months and was told this was "normal" that I just needed to heal after the caps were placed. This is NOT normal. All I ask is that if you do choose to believe and trust in what they are telling you. Go and get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Just remember, you can never ever get your permanent teeth back once they are destroyed. I had faith and trust in Concierge Dental and they failed me. They showed no remorse, compassion or respect. am so happy i chose to go back to Dr. Ben for my 2nd procedure. This place gets better & better, and i can not find one thing wrong with them! I LOVED the new office,it is so comfy! The assistants are wonderful and i feel they really know what they are doing and are very friendly. During my procedure i was getting numb, waiting in the chair, and the assistant came back to ask how i was doing herself, something many dont do. The office staff girls are so nice to deal with and friendly! They even to even called me when a couple appts cleared up to see if i was open , as they knew i wanted to get in asap. The pricing was extremely affordable compared to other local offices and i love that Care Credit plan they use. The financial staff applied right then and there for me, so i did not have to do some confusing application thing online and wait forever. That saved me a lot of time and stress. Now, after all of that there is one thing that makes this office different then any in WNY. 1st, Dr. Ben pointed out something on my imaging scan that needed some medical attention. I have had several xrays just recently thru another dentist ,& this was never found. It is a mass in the jaw bone, so its not something i would take lightly to know that grew in the past year and was not told to me even though i have had xrays done. I just went to a dentist to complain of pain in two teeth, and told they were fine. Dr. Ben pointed to one of the teeth (the other was not on xray) and told me i had a cavity. Obviously , there are some dentist who either dont take the time to look at their xrays or just dont care or dont know what to look for!! Now, IF YOU HAVE A FEAR OF DENTISTS, you NEED to go to this place! I have had a dentist phobia for 20 yrs due to bad treatment in the past. I have a immunity to the use of gas and to novicaine, and in the past have been even ridiculed by mean dentists and called a "baby". I had extreme anxiety and even panic attacks before appts and for years steered clear from any dental appt that was not needed.... even to the point of having let infections go because of my fear of sitting in a chair! Dr. Ben, when i came in to him the 1st time 2 years ago, was extremely educated, understood that physically i could NOT go with the normal novicaine treatment most people get. That 1st procedure... 13 veneers... was painless!!! They turned out so beautiful!! When i went back for this procedure, he remembered i could not use the normal shots, and even took the time to show me the differences of the shots and educated me on them. I did not feel ONE THING the whole time i was in his office (and this is coming from having had past experiences where i was screaming in pain and crying in other offices and the dentist & assistants literally had to lean on me to keep me from jumping out of my chair!). Dr. Ben's "recliner chair side" manner is something i have never encountered before & I am sad that i spent 20 years letting my teeth go due to a fear i didnt need to have because so many dentists are ignorant to factors that the rare percentage of people have which make them resistant to dentist gas and novicain. ( I have two of the four issues: I have a mutated MC1R receptor gene ...as 90% natural redheads do; i have a high metabolism.... shots wear off in half the time than normal. The other two are those with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome & unusual nerve anatomy). I even took pics while i was at the dentist! I cant wait for the 2nd stage of the procedure to be done! read more
