Good pizza place with friendly staff. The place looks practically the same as when our family would visit when I was a young teen, which is a good thing in my opinion. The Village Pizza has been reliable when many restaurants in Big Bear have closed and Village Pizza remains open with later hours. We ordered two personal pizzas ($8.50 each), some wings ($11), and an order of Churros ($8.50) for dessert. The personal pizzas were good along with the wings and ranch sauce, but definitely don't recommend the Churros. They're more like churro fries and were very hard and tasted freezer burnt and overdone. With that said, the Village Pizza is a solid option to go to for a casual meal when other restaurants in the village have closed. They offer cozy indoor seating as well as dog friendly patio seating and some parking. Solid four stars! read more

We ended up at Village Pizza in Big Bear after a couple of nearby restaurants were closed for the slow season and honestly, we got so lucky. Even though they were getting ready to close and were doing take-out only, they still took our order with zero hesitation. The place has such a rustic, cozy feel that immediately makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful, even at the end of their shift. We ordered pizza along with their mac and cheese and a small appetizer of spaghetti with a meatball -- everything tasted fresh, comforting, and exactly what we needed after a long day. The food was delicious, the service felt heartfelt, and the whole experience made our evening so much better than expected. We're definitely coming back next time we're in Big Bear! read more

We were walking around the village in Big Bear and got hungry so we stumbled upon this spot. Inside is rather small but there's some seating outdoors as well. We had a pretty big order but they were able to accommodate us and have the pizzas come out quickly. We were able to enjoy them outside. The pizzas were fairly priced and still delicious. read more

I absolutely love how fresh the pizza came out! The pineapples on top were super yummy. I do appreciate that the dough did not come out flat and had a very nice fluff. Although I do wish it had the option to add some sort of garlic butter or added flavor to the dough crust. The pepperonis were also very good they weren't overly chewy and didn't have that rubbery texture you can sometimes get from eating pepperonis. The one thing I'd say about the pizza is that could use a different type of cheese. This place was fairly spacious and decently clean! I do think that the staff taking orders could use a bit more training, since they weren't very helpful when answering questions in regard to the pizza. Overall a nice space to grab pizza if you're in the area or like me needed a bite while charging your car. read more

$82 for two small pizzas, two orders of cheese bread, one order of chicken tenders, three sides of ranch, and four drinks. This pizza location is a peaceful place to enjoy a meal with family. The customer service isn't exceptional, however, they will answer your questions to the best of their ability. One of my pizzas was wet from the bottom as if they spilled water on the pizza tray. Our meals were okay but they did not meet our expectations. I definitely recommend Saucy Mama's Pizzeria on Pine Knot Ave (about 5 minutes away) over this location. Cute, local pizzaria in an A-Frame building. We ordered the Village Special which is a pizza with every item on it except for anchovies and jalapeños. I forgot to add the anchovies. It is a thin crust pizza. The toppings were plentiful. It could have used a bit more sauce to balance out the toppings but the pizza was satisfactory. The staff were polite and service was efficient. This is a good stop for some lunch in the area. Parking may be difficult due to the lot having Tesla charging stations but there is adequate disabled parking. read more

We stopped in for dinner on a recent trip to Big Bear. It was a Saturday evening and there was a line almost out the door when we arrived. Since it was our first time, we weren't sure what the protocol was and nobody was around to provide direction, nor were there signs, so I'm here to share for fellow travelers. In a perfect world, you would wait in line to order, THEN secure a table, but nobody seemed to abide by this. Many groups snagged tables as soon as they entered, and held it up from people who already had their food, leaving many people frustrated. We were lucky enough to snag a table right after grabbing our food from a party who was getting up to leave, but it was a bit competitive and stressful. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the ambiance was just okay. We ordered a deep dish pizza, and it was delicious. I think I'll order to go next time. read more

Extremely underrated. 3.5 stars is criminal. This was a simple pizza with a nice crispy undercarriage that I have zero complaints about except that I wish I'd gotten a bigger one because it was so good. We have been coming to Big Bear for years and finally decided to come into eat my husband wanted to eat here for Father's Day. As we consumers have many choices to eat these days this place was not the best choice for us. The garden salad was wilty and brown. The pizza was terrible the crust was very thin and the cheese tastes cheap we did order the deluxe which included all toppings. We ordered the meatball sandwich. It was so very delicious. Wish I asked for a side of the sauce. Even though it was balanced very well with all the ingredients, I prefer lots of sauce! It was very busy inside but most the workers were very attentive. The pick up window is very awkward because its near a table where others sit & a very tight squeeze. The customer service was good, our order was taken at the counter and was ready fairly quickly about 15 minutes for 2 pizzas. I could've sworn I already put a review in for Village Pizza, but now I can't find it. This is not a place I would've picked based on reviews alone. We had no choice. It was really hard to find a place to eat, everything was packed with very long wait times. So we ended up going back to the cabin and ordering here. We tried calling multiple times. In fact, I called over 47 times. I am dead serious. Not a joke. Starving me, counted exactly how many times I dialed this place. Nobody ever picked up the phone, it rang "busy" the entire time to which I later found out from locals it's because they take the phone off the hook when they're slammed. That should've been a red flag. Who does that? I had never heard of a business doing this. Anyways, one of us goes to the restaurant to put in our order. We were there for over an hour waiting for the food, watching everyone come and go, while our food never got made. It was quite busy inside, a lot of people were there, the ambiance was normal nothing special. When the food was finally done, we brought it back to the cabin to eat with the family. We were staying two minutes away from this place. We had salad, pizza, and fries. We ended up not eating the food. The pizza was absolutely disgusting. The crust was hard and tasted like it came from the freezer. The fries were super soggy. It was already late by the time we got our food so we really had no choice but to starve or eat a bunch of snacks that we brought on the trip, or eat the nasty pizza. So as far as people saying that is the best pizza in town...It is not. Definitely is not. Do not recommend. Next time, if everyone is busy with long wait times, I'm just gonna go to the grocery store and cook something up for a meal at home in the cabin. Nobody wants to eat all those calories and not even be worth it. read more

Really good, classic "special" pizza for a decent price. This is my family's go-to pizza place because it is just simple and good every time. They have great lunch specials too. Cool historical pictures of Big Bear are around the place and it feels like a traditional pizza parlor with quarter games. You order your food and it's ready for pick up at another section. This is our first trip to Big Bear. After the super winding road trip, I felt queasy and unwell. We stopped to charge the Tesla in the same parking lot and got some pizzas from Village Pizza. Super delicious! Hubby got a build your own with sausage, olives, and bell peppers. I loved that the crust wasn't too thick or thin just right. The toppings were generous so I felt full after 2 slices of the medium pizza. Son got a jalapeño pizza and also enjoyed generous on the jalapeños! I don't usually post reviews of restaurants but I feel like I need to in this case. My family and I ate here for lunch and it was overall a really bad experience. I ordered the meatballs and they tasted like a really bad version of a frozen meatball. Definitely not fresh. I could barely eat them. My son ordered the chicken soup and he actually got sick after he ate it because it was so unappetizing. I looked at it and almost got sick myself. It's really frustrating to spend money on a meal out when I could literally go to the grocery store and buy my child a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and have a better meal for a fraction of the cost. Maybe their pizza is better than the other food. I hope so. But seriously, do better. This is just unacceptable. read more
