Quaint little bar/restaurant in Big Bear. Sweet workers and quick service. I got the fish and chips and would recommend them for sure. My husband got a burger that was juicy and tasty. They had karaoke on Saturday when we went. Cute little place and worth a visit.

I love this place. The vibe, the staff, the food. Its a little gem. It's a must go, everytime I come to town. The burger is my go too. Its cooked on a grill, always fresh and juicy, fresh toppings, and generous portions. I highly recommend this place.

It's like a bar that you see in a movie! Went in on a weekday lunch time and there were people inside with kids Apparently..... they accept kids during the day which is nice. There are bar seats and tables ... and even a spot to do karaoke.... The service was pretty good. We got checked on multiple times ..... We had their burger - one with blue cheese With onion rings And fish and chips. Both were not bad.... The only thing that was off was the taste of the diet pepsi.... seemed a little off. It's a nice place to eat at... But best to go on a non rush hour ... Theres some street parking but would def be a problem when its peak time

Went back again and it was even better! Food rocks the house, especially the ribeye dinner.Burgers are bombastic! Food is cooked to order so be patient as you wait for the food to be prepared. Have a $4 mystery beer while you wait.

Kevin was the goat, really knows what he's doing. The ambience was beautiful as everyone was singing and very cheerful. The food was really good as well. I'm very grateful for Kevin, what a beautiful soul and good bartender. Everyone was so attentive.

Murray's Saloon & Eatery in Big Bear serves a varied menu of from-scratch American comfort food. While it has a dive-bar atmosphere, it is highly regarded for its large portions and high-quality pub fare. Popular items include chicken nachos (often cited as the best in town), jalapeño poppers, hand-battered mozzarella sticks, and fried zucchini. For a full meal, they serve ribeye steak, wild salmon, and traditional hot dogs with optional chili. Because Murray's is a popular spot for karaoke in Big Bear, it can get very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. If you want to ensure you get a turn to sing, consider arriving earlier in the evening or visiting during the week.

My sister raved about this spot in Big Bear, so we had to try it -- and it didn't disappoint! It's a cute local dive bar with a super down-to-earth vibe. Great service. There's karaoke too. The food was delicious, portions were huge, and prices were super reasonable. Everything was so good we came back the next day for lunch again! I still think about this spot every once in a while -- such a gem.

10/10!!!! Amanda & Shantelle are amazing! Fully packed house & these girls are rockin' it! The fish tacos are OUT OF THIS WORLD, as well as the Zucchini. We will definitely be back! HIGHLY recommend.

Came in here after a long day of snowboarding and was greeted by Antonio. His service was above and beyond. Always had a great beer and hot food. You guys know how much I hate lukewarm food if you follow me. He delivered and satisfied the hungry palate. We went with the wings and the jalapeño poppers. I may add a tequila and beer. If you're ever in town for a good snowboarding trip ask for Antonio! Beer up for an awesome run! Thanks Antonio!

I am not sure why I never reviewed this place before. It's one of the best option in Big Bear if you are into a very friendly "divey" atmosphere saloon serving excellent bar food, offering a great on tap selection and heavy pours shots! The staff is super friendly and fun. The food comes in very large portions. Everything is cooked to order (you will wait a bit to get your dish) from fresh ingredients. A burger will feed two 10 years old kids easily. I personally love their jalapeno poppers. I don't know how they prepare them but those are the best I ever had. The sliders (more like the size of a regular fast-food burger) are delish and a huge plus for the club sandwich. The steaks are incredible, perfectly seasoned and melting in your mouth. They also host crazy karaoke night, packed with friendly locals and a raging ambiance! Highly recommended. PS: To all reviewers complaining about slow service: they Can't go faster than the kitchen. There is a warning sign on the left side of the bar that service can be slow!

Nachos are good and big

Nachos are big and good. Ask for fresh jalapeños. There was karaoke when went. You should come here

It's, um, March 19th and we sat on the rooftop outside! Yup! Great ambiance with a view of entering Big Bear and the beautiful moon tonight. Shelby, the manager, was super friendly, sweet and helped us with our meal and Kalley was such a pleasant, high-energy waitress who were both great. Salads- well - hit the spot and more!! Jeremie's Caesar salad was topped with delicious and juicy chicken, flavorful house made croutons and Caesar dressing. Side of garlic bread- yum! Mine! All the treats! The kale apple bacon salad- minus the kale (because I'm just a romaine kinda gal). Sweet dried cranberries and green apples, perfect feta crumbles and bacon, with this amazing apple cider vineagrette! And that superb touch of garlic bread. (I could have eaten a whole loaf). I'd like that dressing in a bottle please! We didn't stay long bc we had people arriving, but will definitely be back. Thank you Shelby and Kalley for great service and delicious salads that hit the spot! Few times we've been up here so far and we haven't found our spots yet, but you're one now!

Here is my story On one hand, my journey to big Bear Valley was defeated because snow was scarce. And, I had to learn how to find the bald eagles. That is my preference now on to oak side I'm guessing Oakside as the place to go locals and visitors alike. Street level is patio dining upstairs second level is covered and rather dark. Food menu is what anyone can expect from a local pub restaurant diner Same thing can be said about their alcoholic beverages or their non-alcoholic alcoholic beverages You do need to check in with the gal downstairs if you want to sit on the street level patio dining. Otherwise walk up the stairs and sit at the bar. Food was decent. Service was excellent. If I'm ever in the area again.(I'm sure I will be) I definitely stop in again

When this place already looked like it's been here for ages. A staple to the Village, the only thing that's different is the menu; now it's all accessible via QR code rather than menus that's passed through hands from everywhere. If you need glasses to read, bring them. My parents were having trouble navigating the menu without their glasses through the phone. Even with the biggest font it still is not the same scanning with your eyes rather than our fingers. Plenty of breakfast items to choose from, the blueberry pancakes seem to be where it's at. Tons of blueberries and a stack is more than most places give. The waffles were not as good as their pancakes. And the hashbrowns outshined the omelette but it's such a cozy restaurant you would eat the warm orange slice on your plate and smile as if grandma is still around and sane. Coffee was blander than brownish dishwater though but the service felt like the friendly sun on your face.

I ordered a vegetable omelette with a side of fruit and sourdough toast and the wife ordered the waffle with eggs scrambled and hashbrowns. It didn't take very long at all and our orders were out to us. Everything was cooked to perfection. I have to say this about the fruit cup. It was amazing. All the fruit was very flavorful and tasty. You know how sometimes you get these fruit bowls and the fruit doesn't taste ripe. That wasn't the case here. We were very happy how polite the server was. Haha The restaurant has plenty of parking and inside is comfortable with plenty of booth seating and tables for large parties. This wonderful establishment has been around for OVER 30 years and the story behind it is one of Hollywood hero movies. I won't spoil it, BUT I WILL share that the owner worked 4 jobs to get the place up and running after the previous owner bailed on paying the franchise fees owed for the prior named place... which then got everyone fired the less than 2 weeks before Christmas. This isn't just bad hospitality--it's a textbook example of discrimination dressed up as "policy."…read more Upon entering, guests are greeted with a notice emphasizing "consideration." However, based on how my family was treated yesterday, it is evident that this policy is not about consideration, but exclusion. Before our food had even arrived, both the hostess and waitress singled us out in an otherwise nearly empty restaurant to enforce their "strict policy," warning that our toddlers would need to be taken outside--in the cold. From that moment forward, we no longer felt like guests, but rather as though we were under surveillance. Every small sound our children made seemed to be treated as a violation, creating unnecessary anxiety at the table. I calmly explained that my three-year-old daughter is autistic and was attempting to self-regulate. She was not disruptive, loud, or running around--she was simply existing. Expecting any toddler, neurotypical or not, to remain in near silence is unrealistic. Yet instead of being met with understanding, we were met with judgment. My husband and I are well acquainted with social etiquette and fine dining, and we frequently dine out with our children at a wide range of establishments. We have never encountered an experience as unpleasant as this. What makes the situation even more troubling is the evident arrogance--particularly from an establishment that presents itself as more refined than it truly is. The level of disdain shown toward paying customers was entirely unwarranted. We paid, requested our food to go, and left without causing a scene--but the feeling lingered. Not just anger, but a deep sense of disappointment--the kind that comes from recognizing how little empathy and emotional intelligence still exist in spaces that claim to serve the community. I've never had to walk out of a restaurant like that before. I'm sharing this now so that other families know what they're walking into.
