When I made the appt for my Maine Coon to be groomed i was informed he would be bathed and brushed,…read moreears cleaned, nails trimmed and he would be shaved into a "lion's cut" as per the description of the full service grooming package i was booked and ultimately paid for. Upon drop off i was told everything from the back of his front legs all the way to his sanitary area would be shaved. I agreed and thanked her for the explanation. When I arrived to pick him up i paid for the full service BEFORE they brought him upstairs to me, my mistake. When we arrived home i noted he smelled nice and clean and his ears were visibly cleaner, other than that you could not tell he had been to the groomers! His fur was still very lengthy on his entire belly from the back of his from legs all the way to his sanitary area. He had not been trimmed let alone shaved what so ever. I called to inquire and clarify the expected services and was told he was shaved and if i wasn't satisfied with it to bring him back in. I certainly was not about to bring him back after being charged $164.50 simply out of fear of what he may look like the next time after I had made the complaint. I am happy to read to many people have had positive experiences with this establishment, unfortunately I am NOT one of them. I feel as though they set the expectations for me two separate times, both on the phone and in person and I paid the full price for services that were not in fact completed. I hope you have a more positive experience than we did today.

We started taking him to Kaitlyn a few years ago, and it's one of the best decisions we've made. She always returns him in beautiful condition, looking so handsome and smelling great. She treats him with the utmost care, as if he were her own, and she always does an excellent job with his lion cut. Before finding The Grooming Box, we had tried another mobile groomer at a comparable price point, and even with two people in the van working on him, the results weren't nearly as good. The difference in quality and detail with Kaitlyn is night and day. I've recommended The Grooming Box to friends and co-workers in the area, and everyone has had wonderful experiences with nothing but positive things to say about Kaitlyn and the other groomers. The staff who answer the phone are polite, professional, and easy to work with, and the quality of care and grooming is unbeatable. Quick 15 min hello around other dogs. They were thorough in their analysis of my dog, and his attitude, and recommended a Saturday daycare to ease him into a new place. The staff also stressed getting vaccine data and keeping it up to date before even letting my pup go into any room with other dogs, which I thoroughly appreciated. Since that first visit, we've had no issues with pick up or drop off. You have to pre-book your dog for day care or boarding via their app, and they book up fast. They offer grooming too but last I checked, they didn't have a full time groomer. They likely do now, so just ask. Now the dog part: My dog has been coming here for the past month and LOVES IT. He's always been calm in the car, but when I pull up to the lot, and put the car in park, he's out of his seat and pawing at the door to get inside the building! He leaves the day care excited from a day of play, and proceeds to crash on the couch once he's home. Best part is that he doesn't come back smelly or gross, even after a long day! My Lucky Dog has become his favorite day care! We love it here and are excited to keep coming back!

She is a high energy husky and really needs to burn through that energy during the week. The staff is beyond excited and friendly when we drop her off. They also allow us to bring her frozen kong for her to enjoy during nap time since she isn't much of a sleeper when she's excited. Overall, I feel confident and safe leaving our fur baby with them.
