The "Old Fashioned" slice is consistently the BEST slice I've ever had. This is coming from someone who has had pizza from all over the city. We have had over 30 clients and friends try just that slice and 95% of them have said its the best slice they've ever had, the other 5% say its "one of the best". This is just one of the over 40 slices they put out. I personally have tried about 25 of them and only didn't like 1. When it comes to the negative reviews, plain and simple jealousy or competitors. I will never set foot in this place again! Ownership wouldn't accept their very own gift certificate! They claimed it was too old. It was on their paper signed by the owner!!! They even acknowledged it was her signature! They had moved to a swipe card system and hence why they claimed they would not accept their own "old" certificate! Mind you it was only 1 year old with no posted expiration date! Owners got nasty and actually physically pushed wife and I out of restaurant. We had to call the police!!! This restaurant has declined in quality and service over the last year. We had tried the restaurant part years ago and were not impressed with the quality of food or service, but continued to enjoy the pizzeria side. The last few months, the food on that side has declined in quality as well, leaving family members and friends feeling sick after consuming. The last straw for us was a recent visit when they refused to split a slice in half and put pepperoni on only half of the slice (we told them that we would pay for a whole slice of pepperoni). I'm in the area for business and was at the mercy of google searches for dinner. I found Monte's and checked out their website. The food sounded delicious so I called to order the Monte Pie that is listed on their website and asked for grilled chicken to be added. I didn't ask for a price because I assumed it would be similar to the pizza prices at home (Boston area). When I arrived I realized that I should have just gone in instead of calling in an order...I wish this was mentioned on their website. There was a huge selection of pizza slices to pick from and they all looked delicious. I would have loved to try a few different slices. So I got to the register to pay for my pizza and it was pennies shy of $30. I seriously thought he had the wrong order...by far, the most expensive pizza I have ever ordered! But, with that being said...it weighs about 10 pounds and it's absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, most of it will go to waste because it won't fit in my tiny hotel fridge. I have been coming here every week since it exists and I will not go back again. My greek salad that I had ordered in the store to take home came with no feta cheese! Of course I found out when I opened it in my house. I called and spoke to a man who told me he had to go into the kitchen and ask if it really comes with feta. (Seriously it's a greek salad!) He comes back and says, well come get it, I say can you please deliver it because I shouldn't have to come back for it and he said we don't deliver far. I'm about a mile away and before even listening to where I lived, he says well everyone makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. I couldn't believe what I heard, I said I come here every week, do you really want to lose me as a customer? He had the nerve to say "BE MY GUEST" and hangs up on me! I go to the store and try to speak to a manager, and of course he is the one on the phone!!! He is also the owner and his name is Tony. He tried to tell me that I spoke to a delivery boy, Mike, who was being rude to me, but honestly I think he was the jerk himself. There was no effort to fix the issue after he had heard the story and just let it be, which leads me to believe the owner was the moron I spoke to. We have a friend that works there too that wasn't there that day, but this is unacceptable.The pizza makers even know me and felt bad! Let it be known I got my money back, and my family will never set foot in the establishment due to poor customer service...and also not knowing what a simple greek salad consists of! read more

We have been going to villa monte for years from when it started as just a tiny pizza place. We were good friends with the owner until the day we placed an order for delivery. They sent us the wrong food so we called to get the right food delivered. They brought us our correct order but ASKED FOR THE WRONG FOOD BACK. We explained to them that we already opened the container and served the food in our home but they still wanted it back even though they were aware that the food was already opened in our house. They were also very nasty when we called back to tell them that this was disgusting. Beware of the food you get when delivered! It could be from someone else's house!! read more
