Overall experience was great! We own some time shares and we had the all-inclusive package. Resort is about 30-45 minutes from Cancun Inter. Airport. About 7-10 minutes from the ferry to go to Isla de Mujeres. About 6 minutes from Puerto de Cancun (Restaurants and a few shopping stores). You can take Ubers, way cheaper than regular taxis, just wait for the uber outside the security kiosk in front of the resort. Free WiFi is available, along with 3 other paid versions (I'm assuming for the quality of streaming). Free, $10, $20, 30 (For Premium), this is per day. Expensive in my opinion. Resort is well maintained, rooms were in excellent condition, snacks and drinks provided. Staff was good, not as friendly as other resorts we have been to from the same chain of resorts. Food was good too. 5 pools, (including one for adults only and one for babies and very little kids). Very clean, very nice set up. The beach is also available. I didn't like it much. Bring your rubber shoes to get. The beach is rocky as you enter (very uncomfortable for barefoot), there was also lots of algae floating around and the sea floor was very smooshy hahaha. Not my cup of tea. Kayak, paddle boarding, jet ski, para gliding, snorkeling, and a small floating water island to enjoy. read more

Another amazing stay at Villa Del Palmar! My family and I (2 kids and 2 adults + grandparents) stayed at VDP last year for April break and we were so impressed we went back again this year. Another exception stay! Well the rooms seemed just that little bit more worn this year they are still very large and spacious. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view and it did not disappoint! Great view of the ocean, having a master suite, living room and 2 queens in another room is amazing with kids. It comes with two balconies with hammocks which is a nice feature. The pools are fantastic, water was always warm enough and a good temp when you are in 80+ degree weather. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and our kids spent their time either in the kids club with the fantastic staff there or pool hopping. Pool side food and drinks are great! They switched up the menu from the prior year and added a few more options which was very welcomed! The food quality is really good! Restaurants are great, and quality if on average very good! Personally if you can get into Garza Blanca (hotel attached) the restaurants there are superior! DAO, and Hiroshi are exceptional, Davino's is on par with them. Zama is great for a sit down lunch or Mexican evening, my least favourites are the steak restaurants, they just don't do a good steak in my opinion, it has no crust and is essentially grey! Let me give you The quick and dirty review because I do not care enough to go in the way I probably should: Room: very nice and very clean. It did feel like the temperature was inconsistent, regardless of what we put the setting on, but we had a one bedroom suite, and it was very cute. Two showers, one tub, a full kitchen, and a patio with a hammock. Loved it. It was very modern and very nice. Food: the food here was honestly terrible. Some of the worst resort food I've ever had in my life. The best food we found was eating at the café by the pool, which is where I think the food also comes from when you order food near the pool or on the beach. The fish tacos and wings were great. We also got great food and great service at the sports bar and Italian restaurant. Best restaurant drinks at the Italian restaurant as well. Other than that, everything was trash. Do not even go to the buffet. It will be a waste of your time and you will probably end up wasting a ton of food because it's all disgusting. Funny that the Mexican restaurant was also gross, considering the fact that we were in Mexico. Entertainment: nonexistent. This was, by far, the most boring resort at which I have ever stayed. The the most entertaining thing was when we participated in very early morning, yoga one day. And it was hot as hell. But it was a beautiful setting, and I actually appreciated some of the postures the yoga instructor threw out. But having to walk to the neighboring resort to go to, that was annoying. There was one black woman who sang and played a guitar/keyboard during the day by the pool. She was great, but that was about it. Service: as a whole, not great. Azucena at the beach bar was fantastic, though. The check-in process took far too long and was a bit of a nightmare. Drinks: not great. I ended up drinking so little alcohol this entire trip. So many drinks were watered down or full of cheap liquor when I asked for top shelf. I guarantee that 70% of the top shelf bottles were full of cheap, local liquors, because I would literally feel nothing, but would feel sick. Most of my drinks were Coca-Cola. And even those didn't taste right because they like squeeze the can to get it out quicker into the cups. Beach: very rocky and covered in sargassum (seaweed). They ran a tractor like vehicle across the beach multiple times a day to try to clean it up, which is appreciated, but ultimately the beaches weren't very nice. I would not return here. It was a relatively cheap trip and I still don't think it was worth what we paid. Visited this resort with family using my uncles vacation package. The rooms were nice and updated. Loved the grounds and the beach was nice. The food was pretty good. Frustrations were the need to make reservations for dinner and the inability to reserve our full party together making it complicated for seating. The Italian restaurant left much to be desired. And overall it was morning at night. No music, bars close at 11, no entertainment at all. Even during the day is was lackluster but it was at least one thing planned. read more

They billed us $1000 for the replacement of the washer. It was the craziest thing I have heard of. They said because we didn't know how to use the washer, we broke it so we have to pay for it. Mosquito Infested Would Not Stay Again We stayed at Villa del Palmar and there are many things this resort does very well. The frontline staff are excellent, the pools are clean, and the activities are some of the best we've seen. Unfortunately, the mosquito problem is overwhelming, and management's dismissive response made what could have been a wonderful trip into something we would not repeat. The resort is older but feels maintained. Housekeeping kept our room tidy and even washed dishes, though the mini bar was never restocked. Room views are stunning with hammocks and outdoor seating, but mosquitoes made them unusable. Each time we opened the door, several came in, and hundreds clustered above our entry. Even moving quickly, 10 or more would slip inside, and we had to swat them with towels just to sleep. Pools were decent with plenty of seating and nice large beds near the beach. Staff covered worn ones with towels to make them work. Showers around the pools were convenient. Downsides: the pebble tech is rough on feet, and some pool deck tiles get so hot they're hard to walk on. The staff deserve credit. Beachside waiters were attentive, friendly, and often surprised us with little touches. We tipped heavily and that might have influenced treatment. Activities staff, especially Eduardo, were incredible. He and his team personally joined hosted games like volleyball, water polo, and paddle boarding, keeping them fun, competitive, and structured. Eduardo's energy was a highlight of our trip. Food was mixed. Beachside dining was very good for what it is. The Mexican restaurant was enjoyable but open air, so we were bitten the entire time. The steakhouse, which is indoor, felt a bit overpriced for the quality: about $300 for four including 2 kids with no alcohol. Onsite market prices are extreme--$160 for the breakfast buffet, $13 for Doritos, $40 bug spray. Vendors charged 5x more than offsite. The deli was more reasonable but still a bit high at $50 for coffee, cinnamon rolls, a waffle, and an English muffin. The resort also uses a poor USD exchange rate about 20% below the real one. The all-inclusive plan would have been better value; we ended up spending about the same anyway. The beach looks beautiful from a distance, but the seaweed made it unswimmable. A Tractor tried to clear it, but they couldn't keep up. Views are gorgeous, but swimming was just swimming in seaweed. Entertainment included a charming carousel and an excellent magic show. Fans under the canopy helped there, but walking to and from the show meant more bites. The Mosquito Issue This was the deal breaker. Mosquitoes are everywhere: elevators, hallways, walkways, shops, restaurants, and clustered at room doors. Just stepping out of the taxi meant bites. We bought $40 bug spray and used it constantly--it helped but we still got bitten every day. Elevators had 10+ each ride, hot and unventilated. Above our doorframe were hundreds if not thousands. Even moving fast, many got in our room and kept biting until we killed them. My father-in-law's wrist swelled so badly from bites he had to remove his wristband because it cut off circulation. When he told staff, they showed no concern and only offered him a larger wristband. The concierge was seen actively spraying Raid under her desk while working. Multiple staff brushed us off and told us to just buy more spray. When I spoke with the manager, Carlos, he shrugged it off, saying the city fogs the streets, basically passing it off as not their problem. He showed no empathy and offered nothing. I even suggested simple fixes: air curtains at doors, plants that repel mosquitoes, fans in hallways and elevators, fogging the property, or at least offering guests wipes or spray. None of it was being done. He said staff had to buy their own bug spray so clearly he was powerless. One night we sprayed across our own doorframe after hundreds swarmed there, and it worked reducing from hundreds to tens proof the resort wasn't even doing the minimum. read more

As my first all inclusive I did enjoy this for my family however I would most likely not go back as the beach was not great. - service was exceptional everyone was nice and friendly however lacked sufficient pool staff - buffet was good for breakfast but dinner seafood dinner was lacking (way too many flies at the buffet). Love love this resort. We have our timeshare here and it was our first time visiting last month and definitely not our last. Everyone was so friendly and greeted us every time we encountered staff. The rooms are spacious, up to date and clean. The pools are gorgeous as well as the property. The spa, omg the spa, do yourself a favor and check out the spa, it's incredible. The food and drinks were top notch, not that cheap food and watered down drinks you typically will get at a resort. It's a great place to vacation hands down. read more

Stayed here for 4 nights and 3 days with my mom as our mother-daughter trip. This was both of our first all-inclusive resort experience, so please take my review with a grain of salt as I don't have other resorts to compare to. We immediately felt overwhelmed upon arrival, as we were crowded by three employees providing towels, drinks, and directions as soon as we stepped out of our shuttle. We felt very awkward needing to be excused and squeezing past the employees to attend to collecting our luggage and paying for our shuttle service. I wish they had waited until it was obvious that we were finished our business with the shuttle driver before scurrying over and hovering over us. The service at the front desk was very friendly, welcoming, and honest in answering our questions. Arturo took very good care of us, and his sense of humor brightened our day. I do wish they had provided us with the event calendar at the front desk however, as we later found out that we needed to stop by the concierge desk to ask for one. As someone who is new to this, I didn't find this intuitive; it would have been quick and easy to provide the calendar upfront. Rooms were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. They have a mini bar where you can help yourself to coffee, cold beverages (soft drinks and beer), and treats such as chocolate bars and chips. Most rooms also have a balcony where you can enjoy lounging on a hammock. Unfortunately, the hammock in our room was unusable as it clearly had not been washed in who knows how long, so it reeked so strongly of sweat. One of the major complaints I have about the room though, is that there is no lock on the door to access your balcony. Obviously nothing happened, but if the room next door really wanted to, they could climb over the balcony divider and open our door from the outside to get access to our room; this made us feel uneasy. Other reviewers mentioned stealing, but we luckily didn't experience anything of the sort when we stayed. They have an easy-to-use safety vault that we stored all our valuables in. We even left our phones/tablets/a little cash with our beach bag on the recliner chairs while swimming in the pool and no one even attempted to touch our stuff. I found that the other visitors were pretty good about watching out for each other. Now, for some downsides: I did not appreciate that our housekeeper kept adjusting the temperature in our room whenever they came in for cleaning, twice a day. We are very sensitive to sudden fluctuations in temperature, so we adjusted our room temperature to 22C but each time we came back to our room, it was freezing and the temperature changed back to 17C. We even left a note in plain sight to please not change the temperature, but this was not attended to. Another annoying thing about this resort is that we had to sign every. Single. Damn. bill. Even for a drink order by the beach, they would bring a receipt for you to sign. This made it difficult to have a truly relaxing experience. Other reviews mention a lack of activities past 3pm and I would agree. It was particularly windy when we went, so all the water activities we were looking forward to, such as snorkeling, kayaking, wind surfing, yoga by the beach, etc. were cancelled. I wish they had other activities for extreme weather conditions like this, to make up for the lack of activities otherwise. All in all, a beautiful resort and a great first time experience for my mom and I. I would agree with others here and on Google that it's far from a 5-star hotel as advertised, but the food and drinks were great (see my restaurant reviews for further details); I would definitely come back! read more

Cancun location was very nice. Great pools that were well kept. Poolside service was awesome and waiters very friendly. Rooms were very nice and clean. During a 12/15 hour period we lost water to our rooms. We were able to use the member suite to clean up and were given compensation for our inconvenience I enjoyed most of the dining places. They had soft shell crabs, great burgers, lamb chop, great Italian and Mexican food. I took the time to reserve n advance for dining and the alcohol flowed freely with the all inclusive package (my amount of alcohol intake kept me on top when it came to cost). I wish they had a better place for nite caps with a more festive atmosphere The beach had seaweed? But the hotel tried to control it. I also liked the fact that the pool was available long past dark. It was very beautiful at night I can honestly say that every staff worker that I met was extremely nice, friendly and willing to help. I wish they would enhance their partnership with the hotel next door. It is a beautiful hotel and had great nite entertainment. I have a time-share here. All was fine until the last night, we ate at the steakhouse. four people (two of which ate a salad and an appetizer). Our bill was $350. They show you in Pesos so you are not ever sure - it's a bizarre translation, but that's not the point. My brother's steak cost $200.00! And it was AWFUL. tough, as shit. Had I known how much we'd paid for it I would've sent it back. But that's not the point either. He had oysters appetizers and he was up all night with montezuma's revenge. When I asked the front desk to remove the charge for the oysters (AT THE VERY LEAST) they said, 'i can give you 5% off the bill. i am outraged. They claimed we couldn't prove it was the restaurant. It was something at the resort, since we ate ONLY there that day. i will Never go back to Cancun Villa del palmar again. If this is how they treat MEMBERS??? And it was outrageously greedily expensive. Everywhere. even as a member who already paid thru the nose to buy into it. SHAME ON YOU! read more

Having lived in the Caribbean, I have been to a lot of beach resorts. For me, this one was pretty good overall. Is it perfect for everyone? Probably not. But, I liked it. First, I found the rooms to be very spacious and comfortable. The beds/pillows/towels/etc. were excellent. Also, they have a hammock on the balcony that allows you to really relax by the ocean. Our room was a 6th floor oceanview 1 bedroom suite -- highly recommended. With this option, there was a master bed, couch, murphy bed, kitchen, and washer/dryer (awesome if you're getting dirty on the beach or exploring!). This allowed our family a lot of room to spread out. The housekeeping was very attentive. Every day, they will clean the room and return at night to see if you need anything extra (coffee, water, etc.). Super nice. They have a lot of pools on the property including one with a waterfall bridge that kids will enjoy. While there are not waterslides and more extravagant water features, it was pretty nice overall. The kids liked exploring. The beach offers kayaking and has a large inflatable floaty in the ocean. Kids can swim out to it and have fun climbing and jumping (they provide life jackets). Restaurants: Zama and Caprichos were the ones we tried. We didn't pay for all inclusive. Why? Because we are not the types of people who stay at the resort all the time. We are likely to be out 30-100% of the day and aren't big drinkers. So, that means missing meals and drinks that "all inclusive" prices in. Thus, I found it better to just pay "ala carte" for meals. Yes -- it is expensive. But, if you do the math, you may save money this way even paying full price. (1) Caprichos: Very good buffet restaurant. Huge variety of foods at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was probably the most extensive you can imagine -- everything and anything was there. Super good. For New Years Eve, we did their buffet. It was even more than what we saw on a "normal day." Just eye-popping and very extravagant foods. You will see Mexican specialties and regular things too. (2) Zama: This is a more casual Mexican restaurant that is near all the pools. Dinner menu was better than the lunch one. Chicken Mole was fantastic. Likewise, enjoyed their appetizers and drinks. Highly recommended. Pricing was okay for a resort. (3) Minimart/Shop in resort: Expensive. But, decent option if you need something. If you want to save money, walk out of the resort gate and a few feet away is a very nice Shell station. They have almost the same stuff at 1/2 the price. Another tip: Uber delivers groceries in Cancun. I did that once for some snacks and items. They offer COVID-19 testing at the resort. But, I also saw it all over the place in Mexico. Even the ferry terminal had a place. Anyway, we did the test at the resort. Schedule it when you check in. Then, on the day of the test, pay early to avoid the lines. Test went very smooth. Have no fear - they didn't ram the q-tip into your sinuses! Pros: 1) Nice spacious room 2) Away from hotel zone -- so MUCH more peaceful (and probably safer) than other parts of Cancun. Probably better for families and not party people. 3) Clean / Chill atmosphere. 4) Good food and service. 5) Can arrange tours, activities, airport transfers. Cons: 1) Beach isn't the most beautiful one in the area. I'd say it is average. 2) Away from "true" Cancun (if that matters to you). 3) Had a "check out" pass paper that you have to hand to the bellhops when leaving. I lost the paper and had to get a new one. Just seemed like a weird procedure. Overall service at the resort was excellent. We didn't have any issues during our stay and they were helpful. Villa This is a beautiful resort with a all inclusive option that we chose not to do for all days but three. It is expensive to eat and drink here. They charge you gratuity every day and a resort fee. The Italian restaurant was our favorite Most people are great but some are not as friendly as others. We loved sitting out by the pool, wait staff very friendly, but because it is an all inclusive, takes forever to order drinks and get them, 20% added. Plenty to do if you just get off the beach chair. Activities every day, including water aerobics, volleyball, cornhole, dance lessons, and the list goes on. Lovely strolls on the beach. Very happy with our one bedroom. Had a lounge chair,table and two chairs on the balcony with an amazing view. Four burner stove, coffee pot, full size fridge, couch, and a Murphy bed. What they need to fix, is the broken icemaker in the freezer, a leak under the studio sink and replenishing our mini bar. The only thing that we used potato chips, snickers bar, couple of waters and a Coke. I had to ask at least seven times for the chips and the snickers bar to be replaced. They also tried to charge us for waters and beer that we didn't drink when we were on the non-inclusive day. There is a market next-door to go buy gallons of water, chips and pop. There are so many people was love to say thanks for making this special stay Arthur (food and bev manager)Melissa, Marco, Benjamin, Fernando, the list goes on, too many to mention. Just came back from a 5 night stay at this resort. We opted for the all inclusive package. Our group of 10 really enjoyed our stay. Prior to the arrival date, I was able to work with a concierge to book transportation and spas treatments at a pre-arrival rate. Transport was seamless from the airport. The resort while not as new as their sister property Garza Blanca, was lovely, well kept and clean. We encountered friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool and all amenities. My highlight of the trip was going to the Village Spa. It felt like you were in a tropical oasis. We also easily booked an excursion to Isla Mujeres during our stay. We thought the dining options were better than expected and also enjoyed the sushi restaurant, Hiroshi, at Garza. We did not get sucked into the timeshare presentation and luckily did not run into any issues with tendering our final bill. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our all-inclusive stay here, definitely one of the better resorts I've stayed at in Mexico. Location: In Punta Sam, a little further North from the Hotel Zone, downtown Cancun, and the airport. Kinda really far if you're wanting to do excursions like Chichen Itza or the cenotes. But it is near Isla Mujeres (but still would likely have to take a bus or taxi to get to the ferry terminal). Location is better if you're not planning on leaving the resort. Room: We had a room on the 1st floor sort of tucked away. All rooms have a patio/balcony with a hammock which is a nice touch and super comfy and relaxing. The room itself was clean and decently sized. Bathrooms were ok, the stone "tub" was really high I think so you could soak it in but was a little difficult for my short self to get in and out of. Food: Was amazing. Definitely the best resort food I've ever had. There were still a few misses (like the breakfast smoothies which tasted more like candy than fresh fruit) but overall excellent. We enjoyed the lunch at Zama (but not quite as much the dinner). Dinner at Davino was also excellent from appetizer to steaks to dessert. Even the Bites bar food was pretty good Service: Was also great, whether it was beachfront in a cabana or poolside there was plenty of staff walking around and checking in to make sure your food/drink needs were met. Timeshare presentation: We had purchased a discounted package with the caviat that we were required to attend a timeshare presentation. After reading reviews we were pretty prepared to be there for a while. We were told Breakfast and then a 90 minute presentation. We met at 8am, things were delayed a bit and didn't get taken to breakfast until ~8:20, did the tour of Garza Blanca which was actually kind of nice to hear the history and the plans they have for the property. And then sat down for the dreaded sell which took f o r e v e r. And after we decided not to purchase the timeshare we had to go to another guy to explain why we didn't purchase the timeshare before they finally let us go. We didn't end up getting out of the presentation" until ~12:20. Was it long? Yes. Was it worth it? Honestly for the savings on the package for the trip it really was worth a half day's "work" Tips: *If you want to get a cabana by the beach you need to get there EARLY. Like 6AM early. Now I am usually up at that time so I never had any problem. But there was one day we had left towels (including our own personal beach towel) to reserve the cabana while we went to get breakfast and someone put their sunglasses and stuff on top to...further reserve it? Not sure what they were thinking especially since our towel was very obviously a personal towel. But just be aware could be an issue. *Make your restaurant reservations before your trip. One staff recommended we do this before arriving and using our reservation # as the room #. This was helpful to get the times we wanted. And this also relates to the next tip *You can also make dinner reservations at Blanca Blue located at Garza Blanca, the sister resort right next door. This was completely booked the week we went, so I recommend making it at least a week or two in advance. *If you're going to the city may want to call your own taxi, the taxis the bellboys call for you wait just down the road so they're available but also costed ~2x as much as the taxi we flagged down in the city to come back. read more

The day we checked in we found a cockroach in one of the rooms. Ended up booking another hotel as we refused to sleep there. I tried to cancel the stay with the front desk and they refused. I would rather take the financial loss than stay there. read more

The staff at Legends are very friendly and hospitable. Armando is the best server so ask for him and the manager Sheyla is super nice too, making sure all the guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. The sushi here is surprisingly good. I had very bad experence with the hotel that accept to cancel my trial by the proof of my bad health condicional at this time sending me a cancelation and refund letter after they agree to refund my money back, they send a document to sign, after i signed , the cancelation was made but the money never was refunded in my account. I sent a many emails, i called hundreds times, i ask for the refund, they fake one transation sent to me that never happen. They are desonest, no respect for their clients, they refuse give my money back, even they made the agreement. very frustruated and also no joy to travel over seas even i could go in my situation. read more

Allow me to share my candid perspective. Multiple visits to Cancun were genuinely enjoyable until this year's encounter at Villa de Palmer. While I typically refrain from casting negative shadows, if assigning a rating were within my control, a generous zero stars would be bestowed upon this establishment. This initial experience at the resort, unfortunately, proved to be exceptionally underwhelming. While my family is accustomed to indulging in luxurious accommodations, it is regrettable to assert that this particular resort falls woefully short in deserving both our monetary investment and precious time. The culinary offerings and service at this locale are, to put it mildly causing a palpable sense of disappointment. Please understand that this critique comes from someone who, despite working in the customer service industry, cannot overlook the abysmal standards demonstrated here. The automatic gratuity imposition, irrespective of party size, seems to be inversely proportional to the quality of service we received, which, incidentally, ranks as the worst I've encountered. Furthermore, the state of the bathrooms leaves much to be desired. with inconsistent cleanliness practices, such as unchanged bed sheets and unsatisfactory toilet conditions. Even the public restrooms make me feel more comfortable than the bathroom in my room. Regrettably, a member of our group fell victim to theft, losing a designer belt left atop luggage. It appears that, beyond providing lackluster service, the staff lacks competence in basic cleaning practices. To add a peculiar twist to our stay, we found ourselves locked in our room due to a faulty lock, causing us to miss a planned resort event. The hour-long wait for assistance went unrewarded, bereft of any compensatory gestures. Even our attempts to contact room service were met with abrupt hang-ups. If you, dear reader, question our choice of this establishment, it stems from being misled by another booking platform touting a 5-star rating. Admittedly, our lack of pre-booking research was a misstep, but the utterly unacceptable service and facilities at Villa de Palmer only compound our regrettable decision. This resort offered amazing ocean views, spectacular food, outstanding service, as well as clean/comfortable rooms. I highly recommend the all-inclusive option. It started with our travel agent, Antonio Franco Jimenez, he was patient, helpful, and answered all of my questions. As a single mom traveling with my 3 adult sons, I had lots of questions and he definitely put my mind at ease, everything was as he promised and we had a great time. Our room butler, Rafael Patino, was top notch. He was professional, courteous, and handled all of our requests with ease. He even arranged for a large bag of white rose petals so that we could hold a private memorial for my mom on the resort's dock. Carlos, at the infinity pool, was great. Make reservations with him for the following day if you would like to sit at any of the padded lounges or chairs in his area. I think this is only for members and ocean front rooms, but I am not sure. Our favorite bartenders were Adrian and Candelareo at the tiki swing bar. All you needed to do was give them a liquor, mixer, or fruit you wanted to try and they made that into a yummy beverage! The 2-bedroom oceanfront room was beyond our dreams. The beds and pillows were so nice, we slept great every night. The hammock and hot tub on our private deck were very luxurious. The in-room laundry was great too, but remember to take a view TidePods in your luggage. The on-site restaurants; La Casona Steakhouse, Davino Italian, Zama Mexican, and Hiroshi Sushi were all delicious. I would recommend making your reservations before you leave for the resort, in case the time you want is not available when you arrive. The resort has an agreement with their sister resort next door, Garza Blanca, so included in our AI, we also ate at the Bocados Steakhouse and Blanca Blue Mexican restaurants next door. We had breakfast daily at Caprichos buffet and it had everything you would ever want for breakfast. My kids took advantage of the floating feature anchored yards from the beach, the kayaking, the paddleboarding, and many pool deck games throughout the week. When we went, a COVID test was not required to vacation in Mexico, but a negative test was required to return. They offer these at the resort for a mere $25 and the process was quick and easy. Beautiful place. Kind people. Got sick with food poisoning less than 24 hours on site. Supposed to be here for a week and now I'm terrified to eat anything. Do NOT eat the seafood. They serve spoiled seafood here. I was sick within 2.5 hours of eating a shrimp salad at the pool. Such a shame. Never had issues in Cabo. We won't be back. Update: got sick again. I really do not recommend this place. You know the food isn't great when you're excited for fast food back at home. It's a great place to go if you're fine vomiting for hours and losing 15lb. They also lied about fixing our hammock- kept pushing us off and saying they would then claiming they didn't have enough- to which I called them out on it bc their website advertises the hammocks. So they showed up that night- 2 days before we leave- with the hammock. Sorry but this isn't stellar service and I'm not a fan of supporting businesses who lie & manipulate their way out of the very things they promote to bring you to their hotel. Nope. read more
