We had a great stay at secrets the vine Cancún in early December! Staff was kind and helpful, resort was clean and well maintained. Activities staff was great- wish the schedule was better communicated as the app was often wrong. Wait times for restaurants could be better- and the app was unreliable for telling you when your table was ready. Staff was often upselling wine to get you a table- pushy and frustrating. Resort needs more pool and beach chairs for the number of guests- real estate was often claimed by 8am by belongings with no people. Still a great stay for a very reasonable price. Espresso martini and soft pretzel every afternoon was a highlight.

    Cancún has the prettiest water.

So this is a five star experience. But it isn't yet perfect. Just really fantastic. The location, the decor, the food, the beach are all world class. The service is a work in progress with some hot or miss. The small footprint makes a prime pool/beach chair tricky. But seriously it's a work around with a little cash thrown at the problem. Love the preferred amenities. And that view- I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Came here in May for a weeklong stay. I spent 3 days in a regular room and then upgraded to the preferred club for the last 4 days. The upgrade is well worth doing! We went up by 7 floors and had access to the preferred lounge (snacks throughout the day), premium drinks, a 25min sample massage (did scalp and foot) for 2, amongst many other perks. Access to the pool on 12th as well as the Olio restaurant for breakfast and lunch were also great perks of the preferred club. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant (Nebbiolo) most for dinner. Sea salt grill was the fave for lunch. Their buffet is also quite solid. Service was super warm and friendly! The e-team was great - especially Charly, Eduardo, Itzel, Aisha, and Jonathon. Fave shows were the tropical night (Sun night) and boy band (Mon night). The live music in different areas is a super nice touch. Went to the spa for 2 deep tissue massages and the hydrotherapy during my time here - definitely recommend! The hydrotherapy circuit is shorter than some of the other Secrets resorts. They have complimentary wine tastings 1-2 times a day and some paid ones as well. Would highly recommend checking out the complimentary one first and then paying the $35 for the upgrade if you like - I did the Mexican one and it was fantastic. Tried 5 wines from Baja CA / Mexico and then had some savory bites along with the wines, and then some Mexican candies along with the wines to learn about how the flavors changed with different pairings. Their photographer on site, Laura, is wonderful. I booked a complimentary 30min shoot and ended up purchasing a few pics ($35 each if you buy less than 10, then lower cost per pic if you buy more). Housekeeping was solid.

This is a picture of room service we ordered after an hour after we woke up to have something to eat we found all ants all over our food. Very disappointed I advised the manager he said that's basically what happens after an hour or so of food,.. I gave them the benefit of about to make this right and he refused..... over all horrible food very disappointed will never return to this resort. Save your money go elsewhere.

Hotel room: 4/5 Environment: 3.5/5 Hotel amenities 3.5/5 Restaurants: 4/5 Value: 3.5/5 Hotel overall: 3.5/5 Overall, I would rate this closer to 3.5-3.7 so I am ranging from 3-4 star. Hotel overall is clean and the restaurants are a lot better than many other resorts I have been to in the Caribbean. The rooms are a very decent size while sometimes, if someone orders room service you can hear the cart rolling throughout the hallways. I think the biggest thing that takes away from it being a good 4 star is the fact that it is indeed a smaller resort. While, you should know this prior to going as well as to many vlogs and information on the net, it is still surprising when you can finish exploring said resort in an hour or two. Services were pretty good overall, and activities can be potentially lacking as there are shows....but more like mini concerts and activities around the Lobby area as opposed to a massive display with acrobatics or singing at a main stage. Overall, a good experience, but probably not a resort I would go back to. Please take my review with a grain of salt as I am not a full resort person and my personal opinion could be skewed. For a couple I think this would be a relatively nice getaway. For a group of friends, I think there are better.

Secrets The Vine was a really great experience. The property is very clean and maintained well. The check-in process was easy and no one tried to sell us a time share!!! We upgraded to the junior suite and it was really big for the value. It had a massive balcony with a view to the left of the lagoon and to the right to the ocean. The only sad part about the view is looking straight out was another hotel. We were there in August so it was a little hot to hang out on the balcony. The resort is all inclusive and the food was really good. It is worth staying on property to eat. We did walk to our favorite restaurant which was perfectly located across the street and the hotel is in a great location in the hotel zone. The property felt very secure and safe. The drinks from the bar were really good as well except the Neon Lemonade...not a fan LOL. The buffet is really good except for the Fish Stew but mostly for the strong aroma while getting your food. I highly suggest this property.

Came here for my 55th birthday and it was well worth the trip! Had an awesome time here. They have numerous restaurants that are included in the all inclusive rate and the food choices are expansive and delicious. The room was spacious and beautiful with an awesome view of the ocean. They placed a birthday sash on my door and placed a lovely dessert in the room. Went to the spa and had a great massage which was preceded by a hydro therapy session. Highly recommend this adults only spot if you plan on visiting Cancun.

The ops manager /GM whoever runs this business should have a talk with him. Idk if it was because I'm Mexican but it definitely felt personal. He was rude and tried to leverage his power to dismiss providing us service. Never apologized for him and his team not providing us the room and upgrade we had asked for. If it wasn't for the GM or whoever the hell he was it would be better. Outside that hiccup and them messing up our room it's been a great experience. Resort is beautiful and food is great. The Asian spot is delicious. The steak house was amaizng as well sea salt was great for mariscos and fish. Haven't tried the Italian or olio the Mediterranean. I will definitely provide an update.

Came here over the 4th July weekend and had a blast. This was my first time at this Secrets, as I have been to the other located in Puerto Vallarta and this was definitely a much better location. I have traveled to Cancun over the years and this resort is in that top notch of preference each time I do decide to go back. Our waiter Adrian was the best. Each morning for breakfast we would as for him and he would always have that same section reserved for us. The pools were fabulous you just have the be there very early to reserve a spot like all other resort where the perfect spot has to be close to the pool. The food was great from the first day we arrived and I must say the seafood by the pool was tasty. Seafood included Jumbo shrimp, grilled Octopus, and my favorite grilled mussels. (Yummy) As for our room, we were placed on the 18th floor with an Oceanview and a pool view. Room was very spacious and clean. Had no issue with the plumbing or any issue that would have made me reduce my ratings. But that evening sunset took my breath away as you can see in the pics that are here. Overall, I will suggest staying here, but the one item that still bothers me even when in Puerto Vallarta, was the massive amount of seaweed on the beach. Mexico needs to do a better job of curbing this. I do know what causing all this and they do too, but have done nothing to curtail the growth of this yearly issue. Semper Fi.............."No one gets left behind"

Arturo is awesome! he took care of us at the pool today and we always had a cold drink and a yummy snack! Great service!

We were very bit happy with our stay. Great entertainment, great service, and great food and drinks. Arturo was our favorite waiter at the pool. He deserves a raise!

It was our first time in Mexico and we decided to choose adults only all inclusive hotel for my birthday and Secrets on the Vine looked perfect for us. Rooms were very new and spacious. We took deluxe king room with the sea view and the room didn't disappoint. However no privacy at the balcony is kind of an issue. You see your neighbors so you can't enjoy it so much. I loved amount of pools at this hotel. The food is available all the time at the lobby bar and beach bar during the day. I loved that there were a lot of seats, sofas, lounges to hang out at. Beach is right at the footsteps, it's so convenient however beach was not cleaned. There were a lot of seaweed in the water that irritated my skin because with strong waves it hits you everywhere. Gym was amazing, the views are very gorgeous, however didn't had air-conditioning and it was very difficult to do cardio. I end up doing pilates because it was too hot inside. Loved evening musicians at the lobby, piano players, guitar or just a simple jazz was very relaxing and it was every evening. Also later in the night was a lot of singers, some were very good some were OK. But it was always entertaining. We managed to see the turtles in the evening. They came on shore to lay there eggs and security of the hotel were guarding them so tourists wouldn't scare them. Some people were very rude they turned on flashlights trying to film/take a pic of the turtles and try to come from other side of the beach to come close to them. Please respect the nature and take the photos from the far without a flashlight! Food was ok, however portions were small in the restaurants. And sometimes I felt that food would be soggy and lack of texture that is specially at the buffet and lobby bar food & desserts. Also every restaurant "catch of the day" was branzino. Since I love fish and menus wasn't so big I was interested in fish and all restaurants had same branzino as a catch of the day for a week straight... The app that they told us to check for events and restaurants didn't work. It's was not clear to us what activities were offered and what evening shows would be. It was our first time at this hotel and we were confused. I wish they would explain more properly at the check in. Also activities often were cancelled and animation team wasn't present. I have been to all inclusive in Europe and they had much more interesting programs during the daytime. I loved the mojito class, however next day supposed to be margarita class I came there and it was cancelled. Also restaurant menu the app was not up to date or wasn't there at all and we had to ask front desk for the menu. Also it was not clear to us what was included and what was not because some restaurants were only for VIP package. What I didn't like that everywhere they try to push you into buying over $100 bottle of wine. Without that they didn't provide us a good table! At least 3 restaurants refused to give us a good table. They told us if we want window seat we have to purchase a wine bottle that starts at $100. Me and my husband don't drink much and we definitely don't need $100 wine bottle... Also many big groups take it to get a good table but It may not work for couples that just want to have a good table and romantic evening and they don't need a bottle. I think it's very unfair because I paid $600 a night and I don't want to pay more to get a good table specially at all inclusive restaurants that supposed to be part of our deal. I absolutely loved the evening circus show with water acrobats and they showed amazing balancing skills and everybody was just stunt from that show. It left many people speechless after the show. Overall we had a good 5 night stay. There can be a lot of improvements in cleaning and service in general. Also they didn't recognized my birthday. There was a bottle of wine in the room but we were not sure was it for us because there was no note or something.

Just came back from a fabulous anniversary trip at this adult-only, all inclusive resort. We were in a Preferred room on the 22nd floor; Martha & Manuel were our butlers who provided fantastic service facilitating reservations, checking up on us via WhatsApp, offering to assist in any way. We checked in at the 21st floor Preferred Lounge (not lobby) and Atenas cheerfully explained what's in store for us. It was a very windy weekend but it's ok we weren't really interested in getting out of the resort, we had a great time just lounging around.... We watched the Chiefs-Bills game in the sports bar: it was packed and noisy fun, booze was free flowing and bar food was abundant. We met Chef Ernesto who presented us with delicious ribeye and picanha. He stopped by our table twice at Sea Salt and BlueWater asking if we are happy with our meals. We had dinner at Dragons and Chef Isidro prepared and served an appetizer platter for us. We felt very special! We came back one day into our super spacious suite and a 50Th bday cake and champagne was waiting for us. My most favorite treat was the in-room breakfast service. Love love LOVE it! The resort is very clean, all the servers wear hair nets, it's clear they are addressing the sewer smell issue in the lobby (didn't smell any!), the spa hydrotherapy wasn't as good as what we enjoyed in Secrets Puerto Vallarta. The gym has a gorgeous ocean view. The singer in the wine bar is great and kept us singing & dancing! Thoroughly enjoyed the all-day coffee and pastries in the lobby. We had a great time, we were initially wary of the reviews but our hearts were open to just go with the flow and enjoy each other and what's in front us. There are vendors on the beach but they didn't bother us keeping in mind that we're all just trying to make a living. Bring $1-$5-$10 bills to tip: staff work very hard and noticeably long hours. Thank you to the following who made our stay wonderful: greeter Alejandra in the lobby who was always cheerful, Pedro & Alejandro at the buffet, Lina Arzuffi (e concierge), Pablo & Vicente at Sea Salt, Valet Fernando. We booked ($45) Happy Shuttle who met us at the airport and took an $18 Uber back to the airport for the 20 minute ride.

Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

Our luggage was immediately checked in and we were able to check in even arriving early around 11 am. Our particular room was ready and we checked and our luggage was promptly dropped off. We stayed in an oceanfront room which had a beautiful view with a seating area inside and on the balcony. The room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked. I like the aromatherapy touch in the resort and in our rooms being able to choose which scent you wanted was very nice. I loved the separation of the toilet and shower by a wall and doors for privacy when using either. The water pressure and water temperature in the shower was great although there was some water draining from the shower during use. We would generally put a foot towel down to contain the water. The room was serviced twice daily so we were never without towels, etc. I also utilized the laundry service which was reasonably priced for three pieces of clothing and it was returned the next day. The staff was generally very courteous and helpful (we only had one less than courteous experience with a waiter at the Hidden Garden on our last evening). The food at the restaurants and by the beach and pool area was great - I cannot say enough about the fresh fruit and the grilled ribs and chicken so well seasoned and cooked with flavor. We ate daily in Siete for breakfast (the smoothie station you will need to go to first because it fills up because the smoothies are sooo good). We also dined at Hidden Garden where I enjoyed Indian cuisine which was delicious (but a small portion). All inclusive so it was nice not having to continually carry payment and only the gratuity needed for the staff. The last two mornings of our stay there appeared to be construction in the room next door or our floor which was disturbing - we did alert the front desk staff and it would generally stop around a certain time. Getting beds and chairs at the beach was generally easy but for the pool it was the hunger games usually having to place towels or bags on chairs early to 'reserve' them (there are no reservations for chairs only for the larger cabanas for an additional fee) We also experienced the spa which was amazing. Highly recommend visiting during your stay. The spa ritual is so relaxing and the couples massage in a combined room was great. Would definitely stay again. $$$

The staff is genuinely friendly, always smiling, and quick to help with anything. Casa Madre became my go‑to spot for breakfast. Tons of options, fresh food, and something for every mood. After that, I'd swing by the coffee shop, which surprised me in the best way. They don't have the fancy frappes or over-the-top drinks, but their "Special Coffee" (fresh coffee mixed with cinnamon and honey) is perfect. Simple, warm, and honestly better than anything blended. For lunch, the taco stand and the Mediterranean spot right next to it were both solid choices. The chicken was super soft and flavorful -- exactly what you want when you're grabbing something quick between pool time. Dinner was where the resort really shined. Delphini had an incredible ocean view that made the whole meal feel special. And the Japanese hibachi night was a blast -- great food, fun show, and it totally hit the spot. Overall, I loved my stay. Great value, great food, great people. Would absolutely come back.

In general very friendly staff, and got to know several employees. Many will also remember your name. David by the adult pool was great. Definitely need to take stake on pool side chairs in the morning. We reserved cabana before we arrived. Online Marriott Experience app makes it easy reserve dinner and other things! They have several options of the usual themed restaurants. Casa Madra is the Mexican one and probably the least interesting, there were was an odd lack of salt on the chips and food :-) The Japanese combo restaurant (sushi and hibachi) appears confusing to customers and staff :-) Much of the sushi related menu appears to have an additional cost. I was told that the California Roll roll was extra, but the sashimi platter had a roll? The Diakon Maki was great. No chopsticks available for some reason close to closing? Hibachi was okay but I was missing the "yum yum sauce" :-) The unique beach side Delphina restaurant is probably the best and have some good dishes. Had a great red snapper catch of the day at the Hana restaurant. Two restaurants double for buffet style breakfast serving. The one at the Mexican restaurant is open to the outdoors, but they have hawk trainers to keep the birds away :-) The Champions sport bar is out by the main entrance door to the left. Open 12m to 12am. Damien is great. Pro tip: get a latte from the main lobby and top off with Bailey from the sports bar before the lobby bar opens at 4pm : Janssen has some cool tricks and drinks at the lobby bar :-) Very clean, staff of all levels picking up things everywhere. There is turn down service here, which I wasn't expecting. Large number families with kids, which didn't brother us. Count on a destination wedding party over a weekend stay :-) Coming here between the two US holidays (Thanksgiving & Xmas) there is a dip of occupancy to around 50% it appears. All in all positive and not a bad place to burn your Marriott points in my mind. It may not be a high-end all inclusive resort but will fit many just fine :-)

The property itself is stunning- beautiful ocean views, though it is an old property but is well maintained. Our room was spacious and had breathtaking views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The food was another highlight. With multiple onsite restaurants. Vina del Mar was perfect for starting the day- it serves breakfast lunch and dinner and offers mexican and international cuisine . Outdoor sitting was beautiful. All other restaurants would need reservations- and we tried Chianti Trattoria Italiana - serving Italian cuisine and had elegant atmosphere. La Joya- serving authentic Mexican cuisine with incredible presentation. With its prime beachfront location, relaxing pools, outstanding dining options, and exceptional service, Grand Fiesta Americana Cancun delivers a truly luxurious experience. I would absolutely recommend this resort and would love to stay here again.

The overall location is fantastic, and the views are absolutely stunning. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the restaurant situation. I honestly don't know how this hotel has any positive reviews. I stayed here for just one night,…read moreand it was horrible from start to finish. Room condition: The moment we entered, I noticed mold on the floor, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one advertised as all-inclusive in Cancún. The room felt dirty and outdated, and I honestly didn't want to touch anything on the floor. Sharing a small bed with my sister made the night even more miserable, and the furniture barely felt usable. Cleanliness: Absolutely terrible. Not only was there mold, but the general vibe of the hotel made it feel uncared for. I wouldn't trust anything in the room that might touch my skin or clothes. Environment: Outside the room, there were ants crawling everywhere, which is gross and completely avoidable. The hotel clearly doesn't maintain its property properly. Food & Amenities: The food was honestly mid at best--nothing to write home about. Limited options, bland taste, and completely underwhelming for a resort that calls itself all-inclusive. After seeing the room and the unsanitary conditions, I honestly didn't even bother trying much. Overall experience: This place is not worth your money. One night here feels like a lifetime of discomfort. If you're expecting a clean, comfortable, all-inclusive resort, stay far away. The beach might be okay, but that's not enough to make up for moldy floors, tiny beds, mid-tier food, and ant infestations. Rating: 1/5 stars--maybe even 0 if Yelp allowed it. This hotel deserves the low reviews it gets. I can't stress enough: don't stay here unless you want to ruin your vacation. Update: This place somehow got even worse overnight. People were blasting random music at full volume outside until 1 AM, and the hotel did absolutely nothing--no control, no quiet hours, nothing. Sleeping here was basically impossible. On top of that, the bedsheets were so bad they made my skin irritation significantly worse, and I woke up in actual pain. Between the noise, disgusting conditions, and zero management, this was easily one of the worst nights I've ever had anywhere. Avoid this place at all costs.

Hard Rock Cancun feels more like a faded backstage pass. *AMBIANCE* The hotel is noticeably dated--worn furniture, tired decor, and not well kept. In some guest hallways and rooms, you are hit with a strong MILDEW / MOLD smell the second you walk in, which was an instant red flag and made it hard to appreciate anything else. We had to switch rooms after the first night from the smell which gave me a headache. We also noticed condensation leaking from the AC, broken furniture, cracks in the walls, etc. Now the best part was probably the beautiful beachfront location, large pool facility and getting to see the oceanfront view. *FOOD* If you want to eat dinner at the themed restaurants (Hibachi, Italian, Steakhouse, Seafood), you have to reserve a time slot on their app. The app was quite glitchy. The food had its moments, but overall, it felt like the chefs were playing a game of culinary roulette. Some dishes were good enough to make me hopeful, while others made me question every life choice that led me to that buffet tray. I would say the best spot was the pizzeria, it was fresh, though pies were gone in seconds once they came out from the oven. *SERVICE* Upon instantly checking in, you feel like you are herded like cattle by being passed onto their concierge that tries to sneak in a timeshare presentation. That said, service at this hotel felt more reactive than proactive. Overall, for a 5-star hotel, it certainly felt a lot lower than that. If you're looking for a clean stay with 5-star service, I'd probably look elsewhere.

We did our homework before our trip and saw Zilara Cancun had good/decent reviews about their food. Let me tell you, this is probably the best food I've had in a long long time. Top dishes for me are the octopus with mole and lobster tostada from Maria Marie. If you like/can eat seafood, trust me on this. The drinks are phenomenal as well. There are signature drinks at all the restaurants. Those are mostly hits but some are misses (depends on your taste buds) PRO TIP: sign up for alcohol tastings at The Den first day you get there. We did tequila and wine tasting. It was quite a unique experience. SERVICE I've never gotten treated like this in any hotel I've been at. Chef's kiss for sure. The bellhop/front desk usually can break your 20s/100s into 1s so don't feel the need to exchange pesos (unless you want to of course). The workers at the hotel (and around Cancun overall) takes USD PRO TIP: there are a lot of activities hosted by the hotel. Morning exercise classes are really fun and the night shows are just okay. The crowd is definitely on the older side that just want to come to Cancun and chill not party. From hearing the reviews, Zilara had the most amount of activities from various first hand reviews from our friends All in all, solid resort. You won't regret it!

FOOD- I overall liked the food. I wish they would have advertised/told us the buffet had different theme dinners. They were our favorite for dinner. There were good dishes at each, but nothing phenomenal. I really liked the lunches they had set up by the pool. It was overall good and on par with my expectations for an all inclusive. BEACH- this is honestly one of the highlights. The resort had one of the best beaches and ability to get in the ocean. If you want to get in the ocean, this is the spot. SERVICE - this was the most disappointing. At Excellence you cannot breathe without someone asking if you need something. It took a long time for people to check on us and we tip well. Day 4 we finally found Humberto who was THE BEST! Find him and tip him well. ROOMS- they were good and I was happy with them! POOLS- the pools were fine. A little shaded. The most annoying part was the cabana situation. Some are free, some are always paid, and some are paid on certain days. I get up at like 6AM every day anyways so I got good cabanas but if you're not an early riser you're screwed. Overall, I'd return!!

It had the best reviews for what we, as a family, needed. The whole point of the trip was to take our family, including abuelos, on a vacation everyone would enjoy. Being abuelos' first time at an all-inclusive, it exceeded their expectations and they loved the experience. They were able to get food and drinks as they pleased. For the kids, all they needed was a kid friendly pool, other kids to play around and they were happy. However, Fiesta Americana Condesa also offers a kids club from toddlers to teens. I do want to highlight how EVERYONE ( all staff) were exceptional from the moment we step foot on the property to the time we left. For our family, every eatery visited was well run, again all staff was super friendly and more than helpful with some even go your of their way to accommodate for reasonable food preferences, specifically, the Buffet. Are there things that can improve? Yes, of course there are, just as with any other hotel. Some of the fixtures might need updates, the gym could use 40 -45 lb (18-20kg) dumbbells and recovery equipment, Sushi Corner MOST DEFINITELY HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT and lastly, there could be more adult activities. But in reality, most people come to ALL-INCLUSIVES to drink to your hearts content, drink some more, then drink some more and maybe throw in some food somewhere. The central lobby bar didn't seem to be at a loss for patrons throughout the day. If you're looking for fun time, a good variety of food, adult and family friendly activities, and WON'T BREAK THE BANK then I'd recommend checking out Fiesta Americana Condesa.

And there were some of the restaurants where you'd have to pay more for premium items and it wasn't even worth paying the premium. I suggest going to the city and eating anywhere else than having to pay here. This is the second time that I have gone to an all inclusive and although it's Handy, the drinks are watered down including the beer. I just think if you're paying four to $600 a night it needs to be a little better. Oh my God and I forgot that there was construction outside of our door. I'll post a video if you wanted to take a nap during the day don't count on it.
