The original location didn't have everything in my shipping order so I changed it to the Snowden River location which mostly had everything. It was actually ready pretty quickly and I went directly over there after work for pickup. I selected curbside, parked in the pickup slot, and someone quickly brought my items out to me. If I had my business card, I would have definitely went in and looked around but I decided to stay in my car and not spend any additional money. It took us almost six months to make it out there on a Saturday, but we went last weekend in search of yarn for a hat he wants to make. We were both impressed with the shop. Lana, the owner, is delightful and super helpful. She asked which of us was the knitter and didn't assume it was me (it is both! But he was the shopper that day!) and she spent a bunch of time showing him options based on what parameters he gave. While they searched I went off on my own looking at the selection and saw she has a really good variety of both workhorse standards and some luxury brands as well. When hubby wasn't sure if he would need 2 or 3 balls due to ambiguity in how the pattern requirements were described, she said if he bought 3 and didn't use the last one he could return it - that is very rare! I suspect he could make something from the third if he doesn't use it anyway but it was very kind of her to offer. She has a cute and very chill pup hanging out at the store with her and many samples to see how various yarns knit up. Honestly if I hadn't gone completely off the rails buying 3 sweater quantities at Alpaca & Fleece last month I would have bought a bunch for myself too when we were there. Next time!

In fact, the two employees that were running the store were standing around where the snacks were just chatting away with each other. Not even minding the customers in the store. So let me get to the point. I did make a purchase of two items. On my way out of the store, I noticed something that I didn't see while shopping. I immediately picked it up and took it to the register and asked if could I please exchange the item that I purchased, which was the same price. I was told that I could not exchange the item because it was a licensed product, and the return policy stated that. Mind you, I read the policy that was on the bottom of my receipt, and it stated nothing about that. when I pointed that out to the store employee, she said there was nothing she could do because the system would not let her go any further. I then asked for the manager. I was told that she was not available at the moment. I then asked when she would be available.the young lady stated that she may be available tomorrow. So I asked for the managers name and the phone number to the store and I was told they don't have a number to give me to the store. I then asked for an email to the corporate office. After giving me the run around, they finally gave me an email. I then asked again for the managers name and was told that there was no manager that ran the store, just supervisors. After all of that, the employee then stated that they could deny a return or an exchange at any time in which the policy does stata that at the very bottom. I never left the store. I litterly had just stepped away from the register. Are you confused at this point because I was in that moment. Needless to say, I will not be shopping there anymore. Although I like the products they sell, customer service is everything to me. I have read several reviews and quite a bit of them complain about the customer service. Word of advice we if you choose to shop there make sure you are solid on your purchase.

I had no idea there was a stationary and fountain pen store close to where I lived. I was super…read moreexcited to go and browse all of the fountain pens. There was an event going on - food when I walked in was a dead giveaway. The store itself isn't very big but there were about 10 people looking at fountain pens. I couldn't even look since people were at the counter. For me, customer service is everything and no one working acknowledged me, not even to say hi. I know you may be busy but if you have a customer that just walked in, say hi. I looked around and found they had field notes so I looked at those for a bit and then my eyes wandered over to the hobinichis. I have never seen a hobinichi in person before so it was nice to get a sense of the size. I looked around at the pelikans and other fountain pens but there were alot of people so I left. I may be back when there isn't an event.
