Value: the public classes are $60 per person and come with a standard size candle and small 7ml tin candle. For an additional fee, you can upgrade to the 22ml, which I did. Trust me, it's worth every penny. The scent selections are very unique and if you need more convincing, my special guy enjoyed the selections of woodsy and bourbon scents because he was able to personalize it to tailor his taste while I went with warm & sweet scents. Public classes hold up to 18 people and you can rent out the space for a private event for up to 34 people. They also offer colors and other add ins such as flowers and jewel pieces to make your candle really unique. There is a lot of room for creativity here. While you wait for your candle to finish, you can do karaoke or just chill out and have a nice time. It's also BYOB. My…read morefriends and I bought our tickets for $25 on Groupon and then went to the Paint Nite website to register for our evening of painting. You can choose by location, artist, painting, or date. We did a Paint Nite at El Rodeo in Edgewood. We were about 20 minutes early and the four of us were able to get a row of seats together. We started a few minutes after six. The session began with the instructor making us say a funny Paint Nite oath about how we would not complain that our paintings were horrible. Everyone was given an apron, white canvas, three different size paint brushes and a plate with white, black, red, blue and yellow globs of paint. Following the directions from our instructor, everyone in the class mixed colors and painted a beautiful beach scene. I do not consider myself talented in the art department, but my painting turned out beautifully. With the instructor and assistant, our group had a great time at Paint Nite. We enjoyed ourselves and the time we spent together making our masterpieces. For my group, it was everyone's first time, but we were all very excited and would like to plan another night out doing the same with more of our friends. I think this is a great idea for friends, couples (even though the majority of the class was women) and a night out. You do not have to drink, but it can make the paintings look better for some people! Tips: Arrive early for a good selection of seats. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on (it might not happen, but it can and did to me!) but still look nice because they will be taking pictures to put on their Facebook page. Judging from the set up they do not overbook their classes like other groups do. And they allow children as young as twelve which the groups who do this in bars and restaurants simply don't. They have a minimum age of twenty one. The instructions were ear and the pace was casual. Brooke was very flexible in working with us, going as far as allowing our daughter to modify the color palette and adjusting her teaching to make sure my daughter got the effect desired. I called looking for something at least 5 weeks in advance. I called left and message and a day goes by I dont receive a call back. So I call again and again and again, I get the voicemail each time. I decide to send a email. I receive a pretty quick response. The day I would like is booked, bummed out a little but hey Im flexible. I request two other dates one date is booked for my alloted time and the other date had a inquiry but the party had not booked as of yet. Well I let Becca know that I would take the date if the other party did not book. She emailed me back, thanked me for my flexibilty and told me she would get back to me ASAP. well this has been the longest ASAP I have ever endured. I have not heard back from her and I actually took the time to stop into the studio to see if the date had actually booked. I Spoke with the co owner who told me she would take down my information give it to Becca and I should hear from her that evening. I really dislike being kept in limbo its very unprofessional, my time is more important than the money I spend. A simple email back or phone call letting me know I had not been forgotten or the date was booked is all I needed. Anyway I booked with another company, My Birthday "Paint nite Baltimore" will still go on.
