A friend of mine from Nashville stopped in town for visit. She has a habit of buying pottery from towns and cities she visits and asked if there was a pottery store in Baltimore. I remembered walking past Wild Yam, and we visited on a Sunday afternoon. One of the potters/owners was in and working on some pieces and was really friendly as we asked questions as we shopped. I found a piece that was a perfect gift for my stepfather, and my friend got a piece for herself as a souvenir from her visit to Baltimore. All of their pottery is lead-free, dishwasher-safe, and oven-safe. They can make custom orders, but they have a good selection of everything from mugs to bowls to vases and more. I will definitely be back to shop for more gifts in the next few months. Great little local shop to support.
