Its location is amazing, after school you can walk over to walgreens, mcdonalds, and/or five guys and make it back to your bus in time. The Primes/Magnets are phenomenal. With Culinary bringing us cafe, Dance & Vocal bringing us shows, Carpentry building us items, Visual Arts bringing us beauty, I.T. making us programs, & Cosmetology doing our hair we create the best school possible. They teach by following the program/the dates that were plugged into the computer system and give assignments according to schedule. When a student asks for further instruction or explanation, most are clueless, because the material is above their heads. Thus, you pay them and teach yourself. There are a few who are dedicated and knowledgeable but these are far and few in between. Some are just looking for an extra paycheck and have a buddy system who will punch their time clock when not in attendance, either by arriving late or leaving early. This is commonly known as stealing time and a fire able offense. It would be easy for administration to discipline if this was an uncommon problem, but here it seems to be like a disease, and they would lose too many staff. This poor quality training seems to be the norm these days. There may be a difference between day and night instructors. More eyes are watching during the day classes, whereas the night classes are lacking professionalism. I'm hopeful that things will change before it is too late for me. Goodluck.

I come to this library primarily to use the study rooms which are nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a white board inside of them as well. My favorite part of this library is the display of African American baseball artifacts on multiple levels. It shows how important, valuable and the great contribution African Americans players made to the sport of baseball. Park on the garage level.....maybe on floor 3 of the garage which had a small bridge to enter the library directly. Also, The community college shares the upper floors of this library as well which includes larger study rooms and an entire computer lab. The staff is really helpful as well. Outside of enjoying that their collection stocks my personal favorite niche genre, I also love their "Be Surprised Bundle" program. You can fill out a form online and provide information about your favorite books (favorite authors, genres, themes, etc) and a librarian will curate a bundle of books for you. It's similar to "blind date books" that I've seen at some other libraries, but I enjoy this more because someone is trying to appeal to your specific tastes when selecting novels for you. There are also great books in their online collection. I love using the Libby app paired with my Kindle. I also love that they provide EV charging (paid) and EV/low-emission parking spots.
