I had Viking pest control of Wayne for over a year and I have to say the techs. were good but the office is terrible. They never came on their own, you had to constantly call to get some service. I called up to cancel my service and they talked me into putting it on hold for 2 months. After the 2 months I called and cancelled but they continued to bill me without my knowledge. My wife pays the bills and we never picked up on it for 5 months, paying them every month. During that time no one from Viking came to inspect the traps or contacted me in any way. When I did pick up on their billing practices it cost me over $300 dollars for nothing. When contacted they refused to do anything about it. This is the kind of business they are, their willing to take your money for doing nothing! There are plenty of Pest control companies out there, do yourself a favor and pick one of them. I have a monthly plan and are supposed to get service when needed and call in. Every time I call in it is two to three weeks to get service. If you are a new customer you get immediate service or if I tell them I want to speak to a supervisor and threaten to cancel service, suddenly they have a technician available to come. If I could indicate ZERO stars, that would be my rating. I have attemtped to call this company several times. Each and every time, I get the same response. NO ONE is available to assist me with my concerns in the billing department. I have been billed for services that I did not receive. I had a pest control person show up today(May 2nd 2023) and told me he would not recommend putting down tick and mosquito control due to the rain, however, I looked at my bill that was sent to me and it states I received the service yesterday (May 1st) and billed $140.00 for it. I left several messages, emails and called numerous times. I was told a representative in billing is not available nor is a manager. This company has continued to bill me incorrectly for months. i just read Joe B. comment and we are dealing with exact same issue. Every month we hand over $60.00 on our contract. We have an urgent matter that needs immediate attention and Viking is telling us they cannot provide service for another 5 days. We are done with this company also. They need to input the ability for a zero rating for this company. read more

Had a scheduled visit today and these people never let me down! We had both an infestation of bees outside and a mouse in our house. Juan was extremely professional and very informative as to how to prevent future mice sightings and which bees to look out for. Separately, I had missed the text that they were on their way to my house and Juan waited for me to quickly dash back home for the visit. It was above and beyond! If I could give them a negative star I would. Request treatment for carpenter bees, waited a month for them to come out, the tech that showed up would not get on the roof where the bees were! He "doesn't do high places" what!!?? Well waited another 2 weeks for another appt same guy shows up! Oh no can't do that . Are they even kidding me?? Can't even sit in my backyard because of the bees. Horrible horrible service. So my advise? If you have $300 to waste away give them a call for nothing! Wayne, although I appreciate your response here on a public page, it seems I have emailed more then once with no response from your company. So if you are going to publicly address something I feel it would be beneficial to follow it up privately. With that being said when we called to schedule originally we told them where the problem was. If they couldn't do it they should have said so, I would have found another company. read more

I am not in the habit of giving negative reviews, but in this case it is totally warranted. Hired this company for a rodent problem in attic. First paid a "specialist" $75 just to come out and determine what was actually in the attic. He advised it was flying squirrels. Then he advised the cost would be $775 for them to take care of the problem. I paid it in full before someone even came out. Next day a "technician" came out he said he googled on the internet what to do for this problem. This is supposed to be a knowledgeable technician? He came in with a hand full of sunflower seeds and used my trap that I had bought from Home Depot for $10. Said someone would be back next week to check. Week later I had to call Viking to send someone. This "technician" came put down a new trap, same as one that was there but he put down walnuts and said someone would follow up. No one called her came! Called Viking, manager was supposed to contact me, been a month, never heard from them. Have filed complaint with NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. Will also be contact local media outlet. DO NOT HIRE THEM, UNPROFESSIONAL AND THIEVES. TAKE YOU MONEY AND DO NOTHING TO CORRECT ISSUE! Updated review 10/22/2021. Just received a call from management for Viking Pest Services. He was so professional, apologized for what happened and advised that they strive for customer satisfaction and that my issues should have been addressed. He offered to refund the charge for the services. Based on his true professionalism and customer service skills I would use Viking in the future for a mouse or insect problem. I just would not use the Wayne Office. I give 5 STARS for the Management and 0 STARS for the Wayne office. read more

Do not use. Set up an account with them, they never actually set up a date when someone would come out, no one returns your calls if you leave a message, and when you actually reach someone through their automated system or service rep no one can explain when service I paid for would actually begin. Such a strange experience it seems like there us no real management quality control. read more

Our last "service" was 5/18/2020 and according to the online invoice the technician recorded "time in and time out as 3:02 pm and 3:11." That's 9 minutes to treat one acre. There was no contact from the technician announcing his presence with the usual reminder to keep pets and children out of treated area until dry. And there were no flags placed on lawn at "treated areas." The invoice also indicated the technician treated for mosquitoes. Our contract calls for the area to be treated for ticks in addition to the mosquitoes. We have used Viking Pest Control for many years and have always been pleased with their service. Unfortunately that is not the case this time. read more

3 strikes and I was never a customer. They came to my house on multiple occasions when they were supposed to go a house on the next block. Every time they came to my house I called the office to let them know since the person who paid for the service did not receive it. Strike 1: A few weeks ago my wife happened to be home when they came and started cleaning my gutters. By the time my wife realized he was out there he was on my roof and had the hose out. My wife went outside and politely told the guy who promptly gave her an attitude. Strike 2: He then put my hose away very carelessly and kinked and knotted it to the point where it was difficult to get back off of the reel. Then he broke the handle off of my reel. Strike 3: I called the office to let them know and they said a manager would call me back the next day..... that was a week ago. For the record, I never asked them for a new hose or reel (I fixed it with a screw). read more
