This review is for service from early 2020. I called New Day for a mice infestation I had in the attic, we'd hear them at night. Rami came and pointed out all the areas of that he deemed to be problematic and sealed them. But then he took a trip up to the attic and after seeing we had blown-in insulation, he did not bother to crawl inside and investigate. Instead, he chucked a few bait pieces randomly from the entrance to the attic, claiming that the mice would "get to it" and it would solve the problem. Well a few weeks later the pandemic hit, and the mice never got to anything - we still heard them at night. Completely ineffective pest control. We called a different company a few weeks later and their worker actually crawled into the attic, took a look around and found several burrows where the mice where making their home. Strategically put bait in the problematic areas. Finally, all the scratching stopped. A few days later we found a several dead mice from where appeared to be their entry point - the HVAC wires that traveled up the tube to the attic - which of course Rami missed. We sealed it up with wire mesh. Problem solved. Really regret calling Rami and paying $300 for ineffective pest control. Not sure about the other reviews and experiences but this was ours. read more

I called New Day in December after a mouse sighting in my mother's home in December 2021. She's seen them sporadically over the 20 years she's lived there, but we've always been able to find the holes and plug them with steel wool to solve the issue. This time, we couldn't figure out where they were coming from so we contacted New Day based on their online reviews. I spoke to Rami that evening and he was very enthusiastic and said he could come out the next day. During his visit, he was very personable and he seemed to care. He placed several bait stations around the home and mentioned an outdoor structural issue that the landlord would need to address. He said it would take about 5 days before the bait could take effect and the mice would "go outside and die." We took all of his recommendations: we spoke to the landlord about the structural issue, got a closed lid garbage can for her kitchen, bought plastic + lidded bins for chips and other snacks, and she even started putting her bread in the refrigerator. Still, the random sightings continued and she also started finding droppings around the kitchen. In mid-January, about 6 weeks after the initial visit, I texted Rami about the possibility of a follow up visit. He was much less interested and said he would "try" to get out towards the end of the week. We haven't heard from him since. I was really surprised because it was a 180 from our first interaction with him. I had no issue paying for another visit, but we didn't get that far because he ghosted us. We finally ended up contacting another exterminator that was more thorough in their inspection and they found activity in our basement, which Rami didn't check during his visit. They even wondered why he left so many bait stations out in the open because mice tend to travel against walls (they also have a very clear follow up policy and were cheaper overall - follow ups included). Rami seems like a nice guy, but he may be more suited to removing hornets nests and other same day service issues that don't require more than 1 visit. read more

Rami is the best! We called him about some field mice in our home and he came within a couple hours (everyone else gave us a lead time of 3+ days). He assessed the house for openings and filled them, talking us through the whole process. I'm really glad he took the time to seal the house - a lot of other exterminators tend to just lay out traps and leave. Finally, he laid out some poison in areas he thought the mice might be coming from. He also advised us to decrease the amount of mulch the previous owners had put down outside out house and pointed a few structural areas we should look at to prevent possible future pests like squirrels. Great service! We called about a trapped skunk in our backyard (we were expecting a different critter) and Rami came out promptly and showed genuine concern about the animal and relocating it in a timely manner to reduce the suffering. We must have called somewhere around 10 different service providers in the area including Bergen County animal control and they either were unwilling to help; we're asking $380.00 to pick up an ALREADY TRAPPED skunk or were willing to come but towards the end of the day which would've left the skunk in the trap for well over 14 hours +/-. To top it off they all wanted to hijack my trap on top of an absurd cost. Luckily we happened across New Day Pest Control and Rami was super friendly and very prompt. He came out, removed the skunk for a very fair cost and relocated the critter into the woods a good 11 miles away. Rami was even nice enough to go above and beyond and returned my trap to my doorstep after I told him I'm more than willing to pick it up myself from his location. Woke up on a Sunday morning to find about 30-40 little ants in our kitchen sink. After a quick Google search I thought I would go to Lowe's and buy some ant killer because there was no way any Exterminator worked on a summer Sunday morning. I checked Yelp, found New Day and saw great reviews so I figured I would call and see what they could do. My call was answered by an automated service who asked me 2-3 questions then, I was transferred to Rami. He asked me some questions about the ants (size, color, location) and said he could come by and handle the problem if I was going to be home. 20 minutes later..... Rami was parked outside of my house!!!! Rami started by doing a complete inspection of the entire property and then explained how he was going to address the problem to avoid any safety issues with our dog. Within 30 minutes, he had competed his interior and exterior treatments and advised that the area could be used in about an hour. Rami is awesome. We moved into a new house a few months ago and quickly realized there were yellow jackets in the yard. Rami was out to our house within an hour, and the bees were gone in no time. As others have mentioned, he also gave me some fantastic advice about rodent-proofing my house. As he said, "I have a flat fee for coming out, but I'll try to give you that much and more worth of advice." And he did! We're new homeowners, and Rami took about 15 extra minutes (AFTER I had already paid him) to walk around the house with me and show me how I can improve things (get a water spout for this gutter to send the water down the driveway--if it goes toward the house like this it will wear away at the foundation; a mouse can fit here--get non-expanding foam and put it right here; you're going to want to trim this tree back so no leaves touch the house, or you'll have ants using it as a bridge; etc.). He probably gave me 10 awesome tips (I only have one left to do, 4 months later!). In all, I'm completely satisfied with New Day and couldn't recommend Rami more highly. I came home from a long weekend away to find a pile of sawdust under a wooden bench, worried whatever it was would spread to the house I called a few places. The first one said it was probably carpenter ants or bees and quoted me $250-$500 but New Day was able to come out the next day, charged me $160 to spray the whole house, and said that he'd come back and spray again if we didn't kill the carpenter bee, luckily one spray was enough. I walked with him when he sprayed the property and while he suggested things I could do to help prevent future pests and bugs he didn't try to up-sell or over charge me, and answered honestly about termites instead of trying to push me to pay more. I called New Day Pest Control because there were squirrels in my mother's chimney. I had called many pest control establishments, but New Day answered my call right away. When Rami arrived, he shared our concerns while keeping us at ease. After a short time he found that two baby squirrels had fallen down the chimney. In the spring I was invaded with carpenter ants, quite a few of them. Rami came and sprayed outside my house , the tree in front of my house and inside my house in certain areas.
