First 5 star I've given in years. Off the top I know you want, the price was perfectly on par with other info I had comparing others. DJ was my installer and he was great. Friendly and professional. Made sure all worked properly and was all cleaned up once completed. I know he has been installing for quite some time, but he had the doors up quickly. Very fussy about it fitting and working right. I would have no problem referring Viking to anyone else. read more

I chose Viking based on a local Facebook page along with Yelp. I thought i was going to leave a message when I called at 510 pm but phone was answered by the owner on second ring. Very profesional questions and a fair quote that took a couple of minutes. He kept me informed and gave me a text when he was 20 minutes away and when I asked to text when he arrives because my dogs go crazy with doorbell it was no problem. Work was done cleanly and professionally . I had a broken spring and mentioned one of the cables was somewhat frayed. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. read more

If you are reading this review you may be aware that many garage door companies are not exactly reputable. But rest assured Vigo and his guys at Viking Garage Doors are on the up and up. I sent Vigo a photo of the broken spring above my garage door. He quickly sent me a quote to replace it and the adjacent spring and I felt the estimate was very reasonable. Especially given my history with garage door repairs. Viking showed up as promised and guess what... They never tried to upsell me an anything. They didn't try to get me to buy a new roll up garage door or replace the 25 year old motor that works perfectly fine. This upstanding behavior in the garage door industry at a minimum should be recognized and more importantly applauded. I would not hesitate recommending them. Prompt, Honest & Reasonable... Vigo came out, diagnosed my problem and gave me several options. I couldn't be happier with the quick and great service at a good price.

I called Vigo to replace the garage door opener at my house. Josh arrived and completed the work in less than 3 hours. He went through setting everything up on the MyQ app and even programmed my existing keypad and remotes. I felt I received great value for the money spent. You might find another company that will quote you a cheaper price, but you won't get the quality of work that Vigo and Josh provide at Viking Garage Doors. I highly recommend them!!! read more

I have heard of and experienced Vigo's legendary customer first attitude. He has done some things for us without charge, told us when something is an easy fix when he could have easily said we needed a new opener, doors, etc. I would use no one else as long as long as Vigo is in business. We first used Vikin Garage Doors years ago to replace the motor in our garage and we don't use anyone else now. One of the springs on the door broke on a Saturday morning and they were there for the repair in less than an hour. They were done in less than 1/2 hour and we were good to go! They're the best. read more

So a few years later, we decided to now do our own garage door. Since I had Viking do our parents door for my prior review and had a great experience, we of course went with them and it was another great process. Although the prices had gone up a slight bit for the same exact door we wanted, Vigo and his team delivered a clean, well deserved 5 star for the experience once again. Two years later, I am writing this review update. A little bit of door squeek while opening but everything still works great. Just need to find some lube to lessen the opening and closing sound. Just wanted to give these guy a shout out on #servicestarshoutoutday read more

The best garage door repair and installation business I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Highly recommended Viking. Super quick service and had my garage door working in no time!

My elder parents live in an old condo in Placentia on a very fixed budget. The garage door probably could have been replaced but wasn't pushed or pressured to replace it. Vigo came and replaced only the opener (motor) without making them feel bad. Vigo was so kind and so thoughtful. His straight up HONEST work ethics are far too few now a days. What a super guy!! I would use Viking Garage again just because of Vigo. read more

Viking Garage Doors answered my calls and texts, showed up on time and did what they said they would do at a fair price. That is very hard to find these days. I am very happy I found this company. My garage door wasn't opening anymore and I knew it needed to be repaired or I had to replace the garage to opener. I called four different companies before I talked to Vigo, the owner of Viking Garage Doors. The other companies either ghosted me or didn't show up for the appointment. Once I talked to Vigo about my problem he scheduled a time to come to my house the next day. He showed up on time and I decided to go with him to replace my garage door opener. He scheduled the work for later that day and him and Jared showed up and replaced the garage door opener in about 1 hour. I would highly recommend this company. Thanks read more

My garage door was in need of some repair. Normal wear and tear over the years but it was progressively getting worse the last week. The tear had allowed it to "bow" while it was pulled up. After searching Yelp and asking a friend, both highly recommend Vigo at Viking Garage Doors. Over the phone, he knew exactly what the problem was and quoted me what I would be paying for a repair and what I would be paying for a new door. After consulting with my wife, we decided just the fix was necessary. Called back Vigo and he had his super awesome garage tech Jared on it! Jared showed up right at noon. Jared was friendly and professional and trustworthy. He knew exactly what was wrong and began working immediately. After installing the new spring and struts, he adjust my garage door push power which I had no idea you could do. Then he went through what I would call a "all points check list" and told me what was good and what needed to be improved, then he improved it for me and gave me hints on how to make it last longer. Highly recommend Viking Garage doors and should you be so lucky if you get Jared Thanks Jared for fixing my door, you slay at your job!!! read more

If you need help with your garage door I highly recommend this place. Both the owner and the technician Jared are awesome. Our door broke and our car was stuck inside on a Saturday night. I first called another place, that owner was rude and quoted us more than $500. I asked if he can briefly explain the cost and he gave us attitude (red flag immediately). So I then found Viking on yelp, called the owner, they were able to fix it the next morning and I saved more than $200! They were responsive, professional and reasonably priced which is hard to find nowadays in OC. Thank you Viking! You saved us! read more

Vigo and Viking Garage Doors came highly recommended and after working with him, I can understand why. Vigo is knowledgeable, professional, and takes your ideas and budget into account when recommending doors for your home. The new doors arrived in a timely manner, and Vigo promptly set up an appointment for installation. Day of installation he was on time as he has always been and installed our garage doors. At the end, there was a strip of edging that was cut a little short. Vigo came out the next day with a new strip and finished the installation. We love our new garage doors and cannot recommend Vigo highly enough! At least 10 stars in my book read more

We used Viking Garage in the past to have our garage door replaced and they did such a good job so when we started having issues with our sensors who knew exactly who to call. Vigo came out on time and immediately started to diagnose the issue. He gave us 2 options but since out motor was about 28 years old, we decided to replace it altogether. Jared came out later that afternoon, was very friendly and got right to work replacing the motor, sensors, wall button and ran all new wiring. He even regreased all the rollers and walked my wife and I through using the phone app. All work was completed in about 2 hours and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much! Yesterday while pulling my husband's truck (yikes) into our garage the door suddenly broke and landed onto the bed of the truck. I could not figure out what happened and my husband was at work and I didn't want him to see what I did to his precious vehicle. I went online and searched for a local place and one that came highly recommended. I remembered seeing someone post about them on the Nextdoor app too. I called and they heard my plea and came out with a few hours. Two hinges had snapped from wear and tear. Thankfully Chris had 2 in his toolbox that would fit. He replaced them, lubricated all the hinges and even gave me some tips regarding the door's motor etc. So not only did they come out super quick but they were very reasonably priced. Thank you again! read more

This morning my garage door made a very loud broing sound and then refused to open. I called Vigo and he asked some questions, then thoroughly explained what he thought was the issue. He said he could be out around noon and asked me to text him my name and address. He texted me 15 minutes before he was to arrive, arrived on time and fixed my garage door. I will recommend them to anyone that has garage door issues! read more

Needed a new garage door and motor asap. Viking came out 8 AM for estimate and was able to install same day! We were not expecting that. Another company said it would take a minimum of 3 days. I had seen Viking Garage Doors recommended on our local Facebook page and now I know why. Vigo and his team are great. He came out to talk to me about my door options the day after I called him. He gave me suggestions and I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to sell me on the highest price options. I would highly recommend you call Vigo from Viking! :) read more

This review is long overdue. Vigo came through for us last year when a very reputable local garage door company didn't. Based on the referral of many homeowners in the neighborhood, I gave Vigo a call. I advised him of the garage door style we were looking to purchase. Within a couple of hours, Vigo had the information directly from Clopay doors and was at our house measuring. Talk about quick service. 6 weeks later, our new doors were installed. Vigo and his team came in and again, within a couple of hours... done! Great service continued a few weeks later, when we called Vigo for a few adjustments to the doors. I highly recommend Vigo for your garage door needs, including repairs. read more
