Our garage door was damaged, and L&S came out at their first available appointment on Monday. He assessed the damage, provided an honest and practical solution for the repair for a very reasonable price , and followed through exactly as promised. By Wednesday, we had a fully repaired garage door that was working perfectly again. What really stood out to me was his honesty, professionalism, and work ethic. His son was also there and is such a bright young man. Together, they truly represent the meaning of honest, hardworking people who take pride in what they do. After dealing with a damaged garage door, having it repaired quickly and knowing it was done right gave me my peace of mind back. I now understand firsthand why L&S has such wonderful reviews and a high rating on Yelp. After speaking with Blaine, he was able to send out a guy the next morning between 8-10. I had called back after our phone call and left a message requesting if they could either call or text when they were 15-20 mins away just in case I was out running errands or busy on a call at work. That didn't happen. I was out doing an errand. Around 8:45 Adam shows up and I'm not home. Luckily I left the side door open for him to inspect everything. I rushed home and spoke to Adam who inspected everything he said yup, for sure our spring needed to be replaced. We also had him change out both garage door cables too. After about 30-45 mins Adam was done! Boom! Garage door was able to open no problem! Adam was kind enough to give me a quick 101 on how to maintain our garage door too. I'd give this company 5 stars because of how fast and efficient Adam worked. Only thing I would have knocked off for was if they could've just shot me a quick text/call on their way over. I get it, they give a 2 hour window, but there's a lot that could be done within 2 hrs especially if you have to work.

Before scheduling, I explained that my torsion springs weren't broken and that one garage door cable had simply come off the drum (I had removed the other cable while troubleshooting). Judy even checked with Brandon, the owner, to see if they could provide a ballpark estimate based on that information. Brandon declined to provide any price range over the phone, explaining they first needed to determine why the cable had come off. I completely understand that unexpected issues can change the cost, but I believe customers should still be given a reasonable ballpark estimate based on the information provided, with the understanding that the price could change if additional problems are found. Refusing to provide any range at all doesn't build confidence or trust. The repair ended up being rewinding both torsion springs and reinstalling both cables. No parts were replaced, and I was charged $275. In my opinion, that felt expensive for the work performed, especially since I had already described the issue beforehand. Whether others feel it's worth it is up to them, but I would have appreciated knowing what I was walking into before scheduling the service. Isaac was polite, professional, and did everything he said he would, including lubricating the door and springs. I have no complaints about him personally. After the repair, my Genie opener wasn't operating correctly, and he mentioned it could be a burned-out motor or bad motherboard. I was comfortable handling the opener myself, so I was fine wrapping things up there. As it turned out, after I adjusted the drum tension and reset the opener's travel limits, everything worked perfectly. That said, not every customer is comfortable troubleshooting or reprogramming an opener on their own. At a $275 service charge, I think taking a few extra minutes to help reset or troubleshoot the opener before suggesting a more expensive issue would go a long way toward creating a better customer experience. Overall, my garage door is working again, and I appreciate Judy's excellent customer service and Isaac's professionalism. My disappointment is with the company's lack of pricing transparency. Customers deserve a reasonable expectation of cost before scheduling a service call, especially when they've already provided a clear description of the issue. That's the kind of transparency that builds trust and earns five-star reviews.

He was able to manually open the door from the outside and confirmed that it was indeed the coils and tension wires. He gave me options of replacement materials - from low cost to more expensive - and allowed me to determine my price. He even showed me his price table. No hidden fees, no upsell, just full transparency! Easy! After I made my choice, he began the work which had challenges since I had something blocking the access to the coils. He found a workaround and the work began while I went into my home office for meetings. He worked to resolve the issue in less than an hour. He even threw the old parts away for me. Contractor told tech parts would be at the most $300. So Sunwest was charging me $1,400 for labor??? That's just unethical! On top of the ridiculous up charge the vendor never offered me the least expensive repair option of around $500 that's listed. I again questioned the cost and expressed that I could possibly get a new door for that much money. The tech went as far as telling me a new door, after Covid and prices rising, would cost me $6k. My contractor said he would get a complete new system installed for under $2k. In the end I refused service and asked them to restore my garage door as it was. The tech got his boss on the line and asked me to talk so we could come to some sort of discount. I refused to do business with them. And when given clear proof of their wrong doing they walked away without charging a service fee I thank my contractor who saved me from this scam of a company who in the end apologized for the over charge and didn't charge me for the mediocre job performed.

It was time to replace it with something sturdier and less likely to warp, shrink, fade. I did a lot of research on what materilas would best hold up to the brutal So Cal summers we have. I also had to keep within the Architectural guidelines of our HOA for fences. I found a company in Orange, CA, called SoCal Gates. I established contact with the owner, Ray, who is a really knowledgeable and personable guy to work with. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to our home to show us color samples of the composite material we would choose for him to use in our steel framed gate. Ray arrived, and had us look at the different colored composite samples while he took his measurements. He then went over with us the color choices and which ones would intergrate best with our home's exterior colors, including the tiled roof and front entry door and garage door. He explained how he visualized the gate would look, once mounted. We agreed on the materials and and the price. He mentioned that his installation pricing included the removal of the gate from the cinder block wall it was attached to, but did not include the removal of the old fence post or the haul away fo the old fence. After hiring another fence company to remove the fence post, back fill with concrete and haul away all of the old fence, Ray told he would've done it had I specifically asked him, for an extra charge. In fact, he told me how to remove the old post myself, so that gave me the impression he would prefer to just to install the gate with the old fence gone and the area prepped for his installation. After the HOA approved my gate plan, It only took a few weeks for Ray to build our gate and to schedule a date and time for the installation. On the day of the installation, I watched Ray assemble and install my agte, He is meticulous and thoughtful throughout his installation process. He showed me how to change out the composite planks if I ever needed to, and how to program our electronic lockest. We are very happy with out new sturdy, side gate. I would recommend anyone needing a new steel framed gate with composite planking to contact Ray.

Our garage was 22 years old, I needed to change the sensors. When Moo sent his technician to change them he noticed that the garage door was pretty old. We had an emergency and our garage door Spring broke and we were tapped inside and I called my insurance and they referred me to Doorposh. Unfortunately, it happened on the weekend and they were closed, but when I called their emergency number, they rushed somebody out here the next Afternoon and did the repairs On Sunday. You see friends, after 15 years of home ownership, my garage spring snapped. Just one though, but both needed to be replaced. I tried to open the garage door but it would not budge further than a foot off the ground. We tried to manually open it and it would not budge. I started a Project on Yelp and asked for quotes from nearby garage door specialists. Yelp put me in touch with 4 different vendors vying for my business. I let each know what it was that I needed and they reached out. I answered a few questions and waited. Seraj Garage was available immediately, if you can believe it. I was beyond stressed and it was one of many things happening that day. After sharing what I paid with some friends, they called me crazy. Which led me to some research... I'm not exaggerating when I say that my materials cost alone was all at least 4x what they go for online. I got completely scammed by these guys & the worker was super arrogant from the start (first red flag). After he left, he posted a "service/repair" number by the clicker for future problems. Wasn't even the same company he was working for (this one). I got completely scammed & at the end of the day, that's my fault. Update : The technician came over and has fixed the issue now…read more They replaced my garage sensors, and it worked for a few days. Then the door would close 80% and back open up. I called them and they said that there is no waraty on labor and only 1 month waranty on parts, but in the invoce they put 1 year waranty. Asked me to try to move the sensors around to fix it. I spent 2 hours before I alligned them. Again after a few days I had same problem, and when I reach this business I get the same response. Basically they want to extarct money from me again to visit and fix the work which they did within the last 2 months. Now I have a garage that wont close, and forced to look for another service on Yelp to fix this.
