I had another technician come by earlier who tried to "upsell" me with a confusing scam, quoting anywhere from $300 to $900 based on whether the springs were Chinese, German, or American. He was nearby so he was able to come that evening (7 pm) to fix our garage door that wouldnt close. He explained what could be causing it. I'm a new home owner and he explained things really well to me. We also happened to have a garage door opener that we wanted to replace anyway. He replaced the entire motor and pulley system and improved our door sensor placement and wires in about an hour, by himself. But then the motor didn't work! So he helped me find the exact model to get a replacement, told me how I can secure the garage at night so it's safe for us, and when that replacement came a week later, he came right away and changed out the motor, sensors, and openers within 20 mins!
