One of the torsion springs snapped on my garage door. Couldn't manually lift open the door because the cable on one side had jumped off the spool, so two cars were stuck in the garage. Made a call to First Rate at 8:00am and by 9:30am, Alberto arrived. He changed the springs in 30 minutes. After the springs were in, he manually raised the door for a balance check - the door should stay in place midway, and not drop back down or pull up. In the past when I've had springs replaced by other companies, they would take 5-15 minutes to adjust the balance(make an adjustment on the springs, test, make adjustment, test, repeat until balanced). Alberto had adjusted the balance perfectly on his first initial adjustment- the door stayed in place midway. I don't think it was pure luck he got it right on the first try - I think it is from his experience and training in knowing what type of door it is and what rating springs he's using to get the right amount of tension turns on the springs. I am very satisfied with the service this company provided and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. read more

Gilbert installed a new garage door opener a little over 2 months ago and about a few weeks ago I started experiencing an issue with the garage door, where it would not close all the way during the day time.
