This is the second time I've used JTec Garage Doors/Josh. A couple days ago while closing my single car side door, it stopped after closing about a foot. I saw that the side guide cables were all tangled around the rod at the top/front. Since I don't need to open that door very often, I released the cables, got the door closed and waited until this morning to call Josh to make an appointment. He was already on a job at 8 am but said he could fit me in today before his next job. He sent a message and said he's was on his way earlier than he expected, which was nice, and got my door back up and running in 15 minutes with just some very minor adjustments. Service is professional, Josh is a great guy, and there was no up selling for stuff I didn't need. He even checked the other door and lubed the springs and rollers. If I ever need a garage repair, JTec will be my go to so long as they're in business. Highly recommended. read more

Josh was very prompt, reasonable and communicative. He assessed the issue and sent me an estimate before starting. He took time to call me when I didn't understand something. Also felt like he was very reasonable and didnt try to over charge. I would recommend him! read more

When we lived in New York City, the garage was a few blocks away. Groceries had to be lugged through the front door, past the doorman, up the elevator, down a long hallway. Then we moved back to the west coast and ahhh: garage doors that open with the push of a button. So, when they break, I am transported back to gloomy days in NYC in February. An acquaintance introduced us to Josh with JTec Garage Doors to help with installation of new garage door openers and repairs of the tracks on our 20yo home built by Brookfield. Work was completed on time. Josh brings a professional attitude. Quote was accurate with no surprise costs. Outcome was better than we had expected: the noisy lift was replaced by garage doors quietly welcoming us home better than any doorman can. read more

Good customer service and quality work. Competitive pricing. Responsive and quick service.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Showed up on time for the initial appointment, excellent quote that same day, the day of the installation he was on time and despite some Surprises with my house he proved himself to be an expert and was completely done before lunch. New garage door and motor and motion sensors and switch and keypad. It looks beautiful including the trim. Highly recommend, I wish every contractor I hire was this professional, knowledgeable and punctual. read more

I don't normally leave reviews but had a great experience throughout the process with Josh. Quoting process: quickly quoted over the phone, was personable, honest, knowledgeable, straight to the point, better priced than the others I contacted through Yelp, never felt "the sales pitch". He then scheduled to come and take a look and show a physical sample and to check everything and also give suggestions and honest opinion on material and hardware if needed. I never felt pressure from which was great. Day of install: Punctual and precise, friendly and trustworthy, professional but personable. Was able to finish in a good amount of time. He gave some great recommendations and once completed, cleaned the area nicely and wiped the garage door clean. GARAGE LOOKS GREAT!!!! Thank u Josh!!! read more

I had a great experience with JTec fixing my garage door that fell off the track. I originally called a different company, but when they came out, the amount they were quoting me was outrageous. I called JTec for a 2nd opinion, explained what happened with the door, and quoted me a much more reasonable price. Josh was easy to talk to, honest, came out quickly, and fixed my door fast (at a fraction of the cost). Great service, great value read more

This man works miracles! Josh is such a great guy to work with. Answers your call right away and shows up when he says he will. Our garage door was over 20 years old and literally broke for good when I opened it to show him the awful sound it made. He helped me move my car out and closed it up for the last time. He went right to work making sure he could get the door we wanted (we really wanted the carriage house in dark wood look). His prices were affordable and he didn't try to upsell anything. He was back first thing the next morning and got us up and running in no time. He made sure to tidy up and went over the features on our new opener. He helped set up the app for me and made sure all of my questions were answered. Josh is a professional, friendly and hard working owner/operator. I highly recommend his company. read more

My garage door opener abruptly stopped working. Okay it was at least 15 years old and acting weird so I wasn't totally surprised. I found JTec through my contractor and based on that and the positive reviews I contacted them immediately. Josh gave me a very reasonable quote and I booked it on the spot. He was able to come out the next day. He showed up on time and got right to work. Not only did Josh take down my old unit, he also hauled it away, which I appreciated. Josh installed my new unit, inspected everything on my garage door, cleaned up everything and I was up and running in no time. I highly recommend JTech and I will refer them to all my friends. Thank you Josh! read more

Big thanks to Josh for coming out on short notice today to fix my Garage door! Josh was recommended by my General Contractor. I was having issues with the rollers on my garage door. Thanks to JTec, we now have a Roll Up Garage Door that works fantastic. it's super smooth and very quiet. We called JTec late in the afternoon and they were at our house within a half an hour. They inspected our door and opener and said we needed a new opener. They gave us our options between a chain drive and belt drive unit and we chose a belt drive unit (which they had both types on board their truck). So within an hour and a half we had a new Lift Master Door Opener installed and working perfectly. Pricing was reasonable and the quality of work was great. We highly recommend JTec for your garage door repair needs. Steve in Yorba Linda CA read more

Josh was quick to respond to our request about our garage door issue. We thought it was a broken belt but it turned out to be the belt drive unit too. Luckily, Josh had everything in his truck and replaced all the necessary parts fast and efficiently. Our garage door works like brand new again. We even have 2 new remotes and the MyQ system which Josh helped download on my phone. I can also open and close the garage door from anywhere from my phone. We're very happy and satisfied with Josh's work. I highly recommend his services for any garage repair needs. read more

I was at my wits end with my garage door. It was a rollercoaster of issues, and the previous repairman seemed more interested in draining my wallet than fixing the problem. He invented a whole host of issues. That's when I found Josh at JTec. I knew Josh was a straight shooter when he tried to troubleshoot things for me over the phone when I first called him. From the start, I could tell this was a different experience. Josh was straightforward about the issues, explaining them clearly without making me feel like I needed a degree in engineering to understand. He didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary parts or services. It was refreshing to have a technician who was genuinely interested in solving the problem rather than padding their bill. The repairs were done efficiently and professionally. And importantly, the price that Josh quotes you is the price that you pay. There are no games. Unlike the other repairman, he did not try and tack on all these different various service and cleanup fees that were never originally brought up. My garage door now works flawlessly, and I have peace of mind knowing it's been fixed right. I highly recommend to anyone in need of garage door repair. read more

Used Yelp to search for quotes and received a number of texts and phone calls in a span of 15 minutes or less. Josh wasn't a call center employee and he is local to North Orange County. No but glad I paid Josh for his price estimate, punctuality and service. read more

Professional and friendly, really felt like he was treating you like his own family. He did the install himself and did a quality job.
