I've waited over three years for Mesa Garage Door to manufacture and install garage doors free of defects. During that time, more than 12 replacement doors were installed, all of which had visible defects including missing paint, dents, scratches, and heavy paint globs. (see attached photos) Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues, Mesa Garage Door's customer service--specifically Dios Hernandez and Marcus Guerrero--stopped responding to my emails and phone calls when I informed them they were leaving no other option but to pursue legal action. My sales representative, Paul Scott, was instructed by management not to return my calls or emails. Marcus Guerrero, the Customer Service Manager, later admitted they were experiencing ongoing issues with their black garage door manufacturer --information that was only disclosed after my doors were sold and installed. Despite knowing about these problems, Mesa Garage Door continued selling black garage doors. Three years later, they are still experiencing the same issues. I am now in the process of taking Mesa Garage Door to Small Claims Court. Like many other dissatisfied customers, I have encountered repeated avoidance tactics. On multiple occasions, when a Sheriff's Deputy arrived to serve legal papers, company representatives refused to come to the non-maned lobby after seeing the deputy on their security cameras. This pattern strongly suggests an effort to avoid legal accountability. Even the CEO, Dwight Esnard, is aware of my Small Claims Court filing and has failed to step in or do the right thing by refunding my money so I can purchase defect-free garage doors from a competitor. It took me ten years to save enough money to buy new garage doors--something I should have been excited about. Instead, this experience has been a complete nightmare. I strongly recommend against doing business with Mesa Garage Door. I wish better luck to the many other customers who have been forced to take legal action just to receive what they paid for.

This is the salesman - Nate's explanation of the confusion with the new color names

Something is clearly amiss with this company!! On June 5th of this year I ordered a new "off the shelf" aluminum, wood grain printed, garage door from MESA - Order # 2278411494. I made the $400 deposit. It is now October 20th they have yet to install the door. I have been in contact with Dios a service manager at their phone center now for four months calling approximately every two weeks. Each month there seems to be a different issue. In June they informed me the door came in damaged, they needed to order another one - three weeks delay. In July the door that they tried to install was the wrong color. It turned out the salesman explained in detail that there was confusion with color name changes posted on the website and several orders were wrong. In August they explained the door delivered to Mesa was again the wrong color that the change order had never been processed. In September it seems that they never re-ordered the door. In October they offered me a 10% discount to take the original wrong colored door. I thought about it and then came to the conclusion that I would never be happy looking at the wrong colored door as it is a major fixture on the front of the house. Dios said it would take approximately three weeks for the right door - I decided to wait for the right one. I called today and asked for written proof that a door was actually ordered - he said they could not share internal documents. Am I being what they call "GASLIGHTED" here? Or is this the state of doing business these days in California. What should I do since this for a rental house I have had to give the tenant a significant discount each month? I have sent emails to both Mr. Esnard MESA's President and Mr. Layman their CFO - no response. HELP Please!!

Great new garage door and excellent service. Purchased a new door from Mesa several years ago and they definitely have not disappointed me.

at the time I bought the least expensive door, it was $899 for a double garage. the tax and labor to install the motor I purchased separately at Home Depot came to $1199.00 including disposal of the old door. Door prices vary widely depending on… Read more

Hate leaving a negative review, especially because this business was recommended by a close friend,…read morebut my experience- after today after being a customer since 2016 was absolutely horrible -high way robbery. My two car garage door was dragging up and coming down hard. The tech told me I needed a complete restoration to save the life of the motor. Quoted me $1,700 to what I learned now was to replace the cables and rollers. It was not the service he claimed to perform. I was concerned about the cost- researched online for the repair he recommended but found nothing that came close to the $1,700 quote. I decided to check in with my contractor after I authorized work, he questioned the tech about the cost of service over the phone. I sent my contractor a video of the service tech said he performed. Contractor told tech parts would be at the most $300. So Sunwest was charging me $1,400 for labor??? That's just unethical! I'm attaching their "bill of sale" that simply lists the condition of my garage door -not the work they claimed to be performing. On top of the ridiculous up charge the vendor never offered me the least expensive repair option of around $500 that's listed. I again questioned the cost and expressed that I could possibly get a new door for that much money. The tech went as far as telling me a new door, after Covid and prices rising, would cost me $6k. My contractor said he would get a complete new system installed for under $2k. In the end I refused service and asked them to restore my garage door as it was. The tech got his boss on the line and asked me to talk so we could come to some sort of discount. I refused to do business with them. And when given clear proof of their wrong doing they walked away without charging a service fee I thank my contractor who saved me from this scam of a company who in the end apologized for the over charge and didn't charge me for the mediocre job performed.

I feel I overpaid for my service. I was stupid to agree with the quote, being ignorant that the…read moreparts were cheap and the required labor was only an hour. So I effectively paid about $750/hour in labor. I had used this company in the past but will not in the future. Shame on me for being ignorant.
