We had DGD install 3 custom garage doors for our home in San Diego. The doors looked ok upon completion, but the motors were very weak and sensors faulty. Initially, the doors were very slow to open. Now, it has only been a few weeks since installation and the garage doors have started to open and close by themselves-- which is an extreme security issue for us. I contacted DGD to try to resolve this issue and they hung up in my face after asking me to pay for new motors for all 3 doors. They also attempted to charge me an extra $4,000.00 just to repaint a french door. Unreasonable prices, Mechanical Issues, and poor customer service. DGD is awesome. From start to finish, I am completely satisfied. They are a little pricey but the quality is top notch. I DID NOT want a door that would not look very good or not last. So, before I signed the agreement and paid a deposit, I visited their shop where they made the doors and was impressed by the craftsmanship that went into their doors. They answered my questions about construction and weatherproofing to my complete satisfaction - and my finished door is gorgeous and very well built. BTW, they recommend (and install) a terrific German built garage door opener so it isn't fully fair to blame these guys for faults with the opener. I assume they can make repairs under warranty but you should ask them to confirm, just in case. Overall, I am extremely happy with the installed door. read more

I have a broken belt of garage opener for a rental house in San Marcos and my tenant try to deal with this repair the technician came and give an estimate for new motor install for $500. I approved it and yesterday he came to finished the job and ask for $700 he said 200 for labor and he tell me after paid and the guy left. I called them to complain and supervisor call me back for a while and said "that how is work and explain that the technician may forgot to put it in on the estimate if you don't want then tell him by that time and we take it out" since tenants paid and left we can not do anything but I feel like they cheated us. I checked prices for this Chamberlain every where about 209-$250 so $500 total is make sense They have service from San Francisco to San Diego but very poor service and even supervisor did not respect customer when he talk. We contracted with Dynamic Garage Doors and worked through Mario to have our existing wood garage doors refinished. They are now over 10 years old and needed to be stripped of the paint and then refinished. Once they stripped the doors down to their original finish they then wire brushed and stained them with their special oil and did a slight whitewash technique on them to bring out an aged patina look. Overall we are very pleased with the work they also did a new weatherstripping and replaced a broken spring so the doors are also now in excellent working condition. thanks again to your team for making our doors look "Vintage". read more
