We played the "9 hole executive course" today. The staff were all very helpful and nice. The course was very well manicured. The only complaint I would have is the live music being played in the parking lot was extremely distracting and honestly ruined our round. I was told it's an every Friday afternoon thing. For that reason, I would not recommend playing on a Friday afternoon. read more

ViewPoint has two courses, They have a 18-hole course, and they have this 9-hole executive course. ViewPoint Executive Golf Resort is nestled in the ViewPoint Resort. This course is one of the better maintained 9-hole course. This is a public 9-hole course, Par-33 and 2,162 yards from the tips. Mostly flat, with some sand bunkers hazards. Really easy course to play, the only challenges are to keep your ball straight, and avoid hitting the homes. It's a great place to work on your irons, and wedges. But what makes this course a little unique. It has a par-5 hole! You will very seldom see this on a 9-hole course. ViewPoint 9-hole is in great shape for this time of year. Great place if you're a beginner, and/or want to bring the kids. read more

My family and I went golfing for Memorial Day and had the best time on the 9 hole executive course! I left my purse in the cart on accident and had to come back later in the day and I am so thankful for Frank, Dave and Rob, the cart team for assisting me in finding it. They are the best! read more

I played here 6-9-23 and the course was in terrible condition. Not much grass on the fairways, tee boxes were uneven, clumpy and full of old pivots. They obviously don't water nor use fertilizer. Greens were rock hard and probably 20 on the stimp meter...faster than U.S.Open greens. The clubhouse and cart guys were friendly, the only redeeming quality of this once nice course. I'll try next year...maybe. There are too many other courses around in MUCH better shape than this pasture. What happened!!? read more

I was pleasantly surprised. Fairway, tees, and greens were in great shape. They opened the fairways to 90 degree carts this weekendafter overseeing for the winter. It's a shorter course, but definitely good to see some par 5's. If course length matters, I normally play off whites and think moving to championship gold's would about average out to a normal course. I played blue tees today. Wife loved the course and people were all super friendly. Nice time. If you are looking for PGA difficulty, look somewhere else. If you are looking for good conditions and a few trees/bunker challenges, it's a good option. Will return. read more

I was pretty disappointed in the service with this golf course. I was taking my sister n law out to teach her how to play golf (literally one of her first times playing) and the gentleman at the bag drop said that she couldn't play unless she had her own set of clubs? He said we had to rent a set of clubs which we didn't want to pay for so she didn't end up playing and she just hit balls on the range instead. I understand there are a lot of rules in golf but I felt like he should have been a bit more lenient with the situation. The service in the golf shop was not friendly either. Other then the poor service, the greens were actually maintained pretty well and the fairways were pretty forgiving for the the most part. read more

This place sucks. Would give 0 stars if I could. They have a 5:30 cart return- Marshall aggressively kicked us off at 5:21 telling us we couldn't tee off. When we got to the cart return it was 5:25 and there were 5 groups still out on the course. Cranky old man read more

Booked a 1:45 tee time for a SINGLE. Check in with the starter @ 1:40. Was told I need to join the twosome in front of me. I politely declined as I had a 1:45 tee time. Starter says nope, need you to join the twosome. I again declined, as I had made a time, and I was the only one booked at that time. I informed the starter I was by myself playing a couple balls a hole, and wasn't going to finish 18 holes. Starter goes in pro shop, comes out,says join the twosome or get your money back and don't play. WOW, really?? Now mind You, myself and all my golfing buddies support this course YEAR ROUND. Yep, when it's dead in the summer and everyone is gone, we are paying, playing, and spending money in the grill. Contacted the manager, he starts this bullshit song and dance about how busy they are, not my problem, I got a tee time....not at this joint. Hers the amusing part,,by the time I leave, no one has teed off. That's right 17 minutes and no players. I will never spend another penny at Viewpointt golf resort...too many courses in the east valley to be treated like crap by a novice snowflake manager. I recommend ANY OTHER course. Vote with your wallets folks, Covid is no excuse for shitty customer service. read more

Phoned in and got tee off time for a single earlier this week. When I arrived I was told another golfer would be sharing cart. Obviously I did not know this person and a separate cart should have been offered right then and there. Right there was a "red flag". A few holes into round the other golfer informed me she had a hard time breathing because she "just had" COVID. SHAME ON YOU by withholding that information from starter. Admit I should I have called golf shop with a demand to get me another cart or drive me off the course Once she admitted the COVID issue. In a community full of seniors, the employees should be keenly aware of the potential threat of the spread of the disease! Bottom line, there are plenty of courses that offer singles their own cart, go to those and stay away from this place who really do not care about their customer. And to the lady who sat in my cart, be responsible! read more

Played a round of golf this morning, they had told us the greens had been punched and sanded last Monday. We were very surprised with the surface condition. The greens were very good. When we completed the round, we asked about the greens. They told us they are using a newer designed machine, the punch holes are the size of a pencil, not the older 3/4" punch. This is something all the greens keepers should see and update to this design. View Point greens keeper, Super great idea using the newer punch. Be sure to share this new design with all the other courses in our Arizona towns. read more

I will never play this course again. For some reason they like to have rocks in their bunkers. As such I now have to see if I can get my 6-iron, that is less than 6 month old, repaired. read more

In my 25 years of playing golf, this was the worst experience I ever had. June 17 in Arizona and it took me 2 hours to play 7 holes because the twosome in front of me was 1) playing out of one bag of clubs 2) didn't allow me to play through and 3) the younger guy playing couldn't hit the ball 120 yards, but insisted on taking no less than 4 practice swings on each shot. No one from the course was monitoring pace of play. I walked off the course after the 7th hole. Fortunately, I only paid $15 for the round, which was about $15 too much. Nice course, fun and easy to play. Terrible service. The woman working in the pro shop is always short and rude. This most recent time we had a hot deal from golf now and were told that we needed to let someone who "paid full price and not a comped rate" tee off first. It was 102° outside and the course was dead. They don't seam fond of those who live outside the rv park. read more

Good place to golf reasonable prices. Customerservice need work. Guys outside are great but there was one guy this pass Sunday afternoon in the golf shop really need to work on his attitude. I have played here three times. Me being a beginner to average golfer I like the fact that this place is affordable and comfortable for me to play not worry about slice into houses. Nice wide fairways. Carts come with coolers with ice and face towels. read more

I took my wife here this week to play a round of golf. We like to try different courses to see different areas of the valley. After being unable to book a tee time online I called the pro shop to get a reservation. The person I spoke to was not very personable or friendly. When we arrived at the course to play the two people in the pro shop were not helpful at all. It seemed all they were interested in was taking our money. Being my first time at this course I expected a little better customer service but after I paid they were more interested in having a personal conversation than to help answer questions. All I wanted to know was where I could find the starter and the first tee. Once we got on the course the playing conditions were good, the fairways were in great condition and the greens were very consistent. After finishing the first two holes the pace of play became very slow with a backup of at least one group per hole for all the rest of the front nine. There was not any drinking water on the course or beverage cart, things that would have been helpful to know before starting our round. After finishing the front nine I went into the restaurant/bar to order something to drink for the back nine. I was told by the bartender that they are not affiliated with the golf course and that I would have to purchase my drinks in the pro shop. What is the point of a restaurant at a golf course if its not affiliated with the course? It took just under 3 hours to finish the front nine. We went out and started the back nine but quickly lost interest because the pace was slower than what we experienced on the front nine. We played a couple of more holes before leaving but did not finish the round because it was painfully slow. I live in Tempe, Arizona and don't think I'll be going back here again. read more
