The store is relatively small, but has everything you need. I think the whole organic food scene is still not super transparent and for me it all depends on the items I am getting. I generally like to buy organic fruits (especially when you eat the peal), but the ones I bought here sadly were all still pretty sour (except the apples). The staff was friendly though and the store very organized.

It's on a level similar to Bio Company, so naturally things are a bit pricier here, but sometimes you can find products that cost less than elsewhere. I also like the open floor-plan here. Whereas a lot of stores are small and cramped, they make good use of the space.

This location is the smallest Bio Company one I have visited. I imagine that's because it is in the middle of a tourist area, with very little residential places in sight. But I am glad it exists. The smoked tofu that I love almost always seems to be on sale, the breads are delicious and priced around the same as the lesser-quality bakeries in the area (who raised prices, it feels like, passed on location), and there is hardly ever a long wait or line, or people in the way, blocking aisles. This makes the location ideal. Of course, I don't live near here, nor is it my closest Bio Company, but it's a short jaunt from work which makes me happy. I will certainly walk the extra 5 minutes beyond F'n'F to get better prices and a better selection

They basically started the whole organic food trend years ago, targeting a mainstream audience. Since then, they mostly attract people that either vote for the Green Party or wear Birkenstocks every day. Prices here are on the higher end, but you're guaranteed to get your bread & butter free of any chemical food enhancements, which is actually not so much of a problem in Germany anyway, other than in the US. They also have a Bistro counter where they serve organic buffet lunch all day. I tried the Paprika-Haehnchen mit Kartoffeln (pepper chicken w/ potatoes, 3.50/6.50 Euro) which was decent. Pro tip: if you're a member prices actually cut almost in half.

It's no secret that I love me a good Farmer's Market. This one is no exception…read more There are tons and tons of things to buy; my favourite is the produce stands. Compared to local shops, the fresh fruits and vegetables are much cheaper, and sometimes even better quality. A recent trip yielded avocados, pumpkin, and arugula, and that was a show of restraint. There's so much more to be had, including meats and cheeses, snacks from food stands, practical household items, fabrics and craft-y things, clothing and jewelry, and more. Check it! The one disadvantage is the tight quarters. I'm used to markets with rows and rows and plenty of space, and this one is just along the sidewalk. The side up against the water is particularly crowded, with stalls on either side, making it a bit of an annoyance to walk through all the people. The flow of the crowd is generally smooth, albeit slow-going, but every once in awhile you'll find the stallers, who stand directly in front of what you're interested in and spend five minutes discussing the pros and cons of buying it. If you know what you want to get, this is a perfect place to go. However, if you're looking for a leisurely experience spent strolling up and down the market, go somewhere else.

All new health food and grocery store just opened up directly on Nollendorfplatz…read more It has a huge selection of organic and eco friendly items ranging from food, freshly baked goods, groceries, household items, impressive range of cosmetics and soaps, a few items of clothing, alcohol and so on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I bought some soaps, macadamia nut oil, orange cleaning 'stuff' oh and some coconut milk for drinking. It's quite a large store really. A good selection of cheeses from the counter next to the bakery part too. Some things are expensive as expected but other items are quite reasonable I guess it depends on what you are there to purchase.
