Taste 7/10: The taste for vegan and vegetarians I am sure will enjoy (me included). It's good, but not outstanding. For meat eaters they might give a even lower rate. What I did NOT like: 1) The portions are very smalll. We left this place hungry. 2) the price to Euro value is not the best. 40€ for 3 courses or 65€ for 5 courses that size was a bit disappointing 3) CASH ONLY unless you pay 100+€ 4) Horrible Parking situation 5) Pre-set courses with no flexibility, NOT a la carte What we liked: 1) Decoration and way food was served 2) service was good Would I come again: Probably not. The food was too average and standard for me to consider a return with that price. WHY, WHEN should I come here: If you enjoy courses, you are a vegan and your purpose is to have a nice evening and a conversation with someone where both of you are not starving. You can give this experience/atmosphere a try. Make Sure to reserVe or call before coming here. Parking is hard to find.

Great vegan food, menu changes every 4 weeks. We had 5 courses and everything was delicious. Highly recommending the place.

A trip to this upscale vegan restaurant was my spurge during a short stay in Brelin. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and it certainly didn't disappoint. The wine pairing with the tasting menu was spot on. Every course was very enjoyable and had some element I hadn't seen before. Most times this was good. One of the few exceptions was the seitan, which was mushy and didn't have the usual firm and chewy texture. The service was great and everyone spoke English. Many spots in Berlin don't accept credit card. This vegan spot does but there is a 100 euro credit card limit.

After having written the odd Yelp review (small understatement) I always seem to have it in mind when visiting a new restaurant or such. So was also the case when I went to vegan restaurant Lucky Leek in Prenzlauer Berg this weekend. My first impression was that the interior was a little bland (try get an outdoor table if the weather suits..), then after choosing from the menu (which I had already memorised from their webpage, but which also included a daily special) I started to relax and get settled to the place. Other diners were getting their orders, and I was impressed by the presentation. It all looked soooo good! And "soooo good" is not even nearly enough of a superlative to describe my starter: the oriental spring roll with black bean hummus and cauliflower salad. As I was eating this I was picturing giving Lucky Leek THE best review ever, and taking all my visiting friends here for a meal! Especially my meat-loving friends in order to show them what they are missing out on.. But then came the main course.. what a let down! I had opted for the daily special: mushroom risotto.. it was too salty, and had some flavours that was hard to place, but which was very off-putting. Still, hungry as ever, I managed to finish it off.. When I told the waiter, he actually came back with a free dessert and get this! they refused to charge me for my two glasses of wine! That's service for you! And quite surprisingly so, seeing it took them five minutes and an ask to give me the menu, as well as the fact that they preferred looking down into the floor instead of seeing if diners were trying to catch their attention... but all is forgiven, and I will certainly be coming back!

This is the menu. You can have 3 meal course or 5 meal course

The quality of food and the preparation were really good. The plates were coming very fast, each was supper delicious. Very simple restaurant setting, doesn't require for ladies to dress up too much. 3 course meal costs 33 euros and 5 course meal costs 55euros - and you do feel full at the end. Both waiters speak English.

The falafels were fried to order, which I appreciate. After the falafels were ready, the gentleman working put them in a wrap and then went to the bar of vegetables and toppings in front of me. He added hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and I think a spicy mustard. After he finished stuffing the wrap, he rolled it up and placed it on a grill press for a few minutes. My falafel wrap was delicious and full of flavors and textures! Starting with crunchy! It had a big crunch from the grilled wrap. Then I got the added crunch from the falafel. It was then followed by the smooth and savory hummus. The vegetables were a perfect addition. Extra: Vegan options Open late - 3 am! My falafel wrap was the best late night snack that didn't make me feel guilty or bloated the next day. Also, the service was good too! The gentleman working was kind and had great energy. The portion is gigantic so don't expect to finish it, loved the flavor and richness of the sauce. The eggs were a little too done for my liking, I usually prefer them more runny. Really enjoyed Factory girl for its hipstery vibe and well designed menu... the food paired really well together (mine was the egg with bread potato microgreens tomato and cheese ) It was absolutely delicous and I licked my plate practically clean.. My friend who is vegan got the plate with no egg and cheese. They gave them faux minced meat and eggplant to replace the egg which looked delicious!! The only thing I had an issue with this place was the price point (I thought it was pretty expensive) and when I ordered a coffee , they gave me a bottle of cold brew with ice... I kinda wanted like a fresh iced latte but thats not the biggest deal just a misunderstanding I think. Service was very friendly and they only accept cards ! This place would be a good date spot to show someone you really like them (and you pay for the meal )

It was the green umbrellas and seating outdoors that called to me. Unfortunately, like other outdoor dining areas in Europe, smoking is allowed. I just knew I would have to deal with that if I wanted to sit outside. I already saw a few people smoking. When you walk into the restaurant, the menu is posted on the wall behind the counter. It's a casual environment. As the name suggests, the food is vegetarian. Posted on the menu are stuffed baked potatoes, soups, salads, and juices. Bottled drinks in a refrigerator to the side. Tall table seating indoors. The salads are either small or large. I ordered a small quinoa salad and grabbed a bottled pomegranate tea from the refrigerator. While the gentleman rung me up at the register, someone else put my salad together. All fresh ingredients in a bowl. Glad I decided on a small because large is way too much food. A rabbit can only eat so much in one sitting. My drink was good and salad delicious. I used the restroom before I left, which is on the right hand side, through the side door. Had to mention it because the ladies room is a tiny stall for one. Cashless, so don't forget to bring your credit card.

But, that's truly enough, as what they prepare is all very-very good. The way this restaurant is designed is that you walk inside, decide what you want from their menu, and you order it at the counter. No cash. Only card. Then, it is prepared very quickly. I mean, they really do a great job of preparing each dish very fast. In terms of seating, for their interior they have a couple of long group tables and some two person tables along their wall. Me, that's where I like to sit. They also have a large amount of outdoor tables. Most of these table have umbrellas, so it is a great place to sit if you want to enjoy the air. The one problem I have with sitting at their outdoor tables is the same problem I have with virtually all of the restaurants in Berlin, they allow to people to smoke at these tables. One would think, at a vegetarian restaurant, they would not allow smoking. But, I have even witnessed staff members taking a break and going out there for a smoke. This is just something to keep in mind. Normally, I too prefer to sit outside, but I hate to have my eating experience diminished by someone smoking next to me. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. The food is very good. They staff are all very nice. And, you walk away feeling as if you have actually done something very good for your body.
