This branch of Goodies is a big sister to the one down the road (http://www.qype.co.uk/place/78246-Goodies-Berlin) , which can be too small and difficult to find a seat.
I only tried the food on my second visit, as on my first visit, it was crazily busy.
The selection of soups, cakes and sandwiches is slightly different to their sibling, with a slightly smaller selection, and more emphasis on the bakery side of the business. But just like their sibling, staff are friendly and helpful, and the food delicious.
There are seats by the window, so people watching can be fun; and there's also a large upstairs area, which was closed when I visited (I think they're still finishing off the decorating, as when I went a few days earlier for their opening, it was unpainted and with portable tables, rather than anything fitted).
Interestingly, when I visited for the first time and went upstairs, they'd printed out their business plan and stuck it to the wall, so that you could see why they'd chosen that building and how much everything cost. I was astonished at how expensive it was to open. But it's money well spent, as it's a great location, and they seemed suitably busy.
Definitely recommend.
Also on the ground floor of the building is the Veganz (http://www.qype.co.uk/place/2608791-Veganz-Wir-lieben-Leben-Berlin) shop, which sells all manner of vegan goodies, some priced very reasonably (a couple of euros for a pack of soya chunks) to very unreasonably (10EUR for a 500ml pot of ice cream). But it's worth having a wander round if you like interestingly different foods. read more
