I don't see why people rate so lowly of these guys, I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Very knowledgeable salesmen. A friend referred me to these guys so I went in looking for an led and ended up getting a samsung led with Internet. The asian fellow advised me at checkout that for whatever reason it may be, i am able to receive store credit or exchange with no restocking fee! Frys and best buy charges 15% if u wanna trade it for something else . Anyway, i Brought it home and decided it was not what I expected. So when I brought it back they were more then willing to swap out my led for a smaller plasma. No hassle at all. Had a pleasant visit. This place was amazing. I started by calling Magnolia which is a long way from my house. The rather unhelpful person who answered my call told me I should make the order online. So I went online and order an 85inch Sony with wall mount and installation only to discover that I would have to drive up to Magnolia which is a long distance away to get the wall mount for the instalation. I have driven by Video Only in Tukwila but was not impressed by the outside. However, after checking reviews online I called the store and Mike answered my call with enthusiasm. When I got to the store, he gave me a much better deal than I could get at Magnolia, Amazon, and Crutchfield. He was really helpful with information. He saved several hundred more dollars explaining to me that I did not need a wall mount as my current stand was just fine. The installation guys were amazing. Bought a Blu-ray player for my parents for the holidays. The guy asked if I wanted some help and I asked a few questions and he knew the answers and was quite helpful. Came time to buy and they threw in the $45 HDMI cable for the price of the cheap one. That was a nice gesture even if to me the cables are the same. Best place to go if you like to ask questions and be informed while purchasing. Forget doing your homework before buying, just go in and they will guide you all the way. We recently purchased a sound bar for our Samsung television and once we got it home and after trying to get it to work for a week, we returned it to the store. I was pleasantly surprised by the no hassle return. We explained the problem, they checked to see that everything was in the box and our return was completed in less than 10 minutes. It was a great end to a frustrating week with this device. The sales staff are great; listened to our problems and took care of us! I just got off the phone with Dar at the Lynnwood location again. I bought all my equipment at this store- 2 Sony TVs, a Yamaha amp, a Sony Blu Ray and accesories. I've called and talked to him every time I have a new issue-this latest was "how do I hook up a new streaming device now that I've maxed out my HDMI inputs at 4?" and he, of course, had my easy fix! I've never had better service after the sale anywhere. And they have the lowest prices on the best equipment-if you find it lower, it's not the same unit. The sales people don't pounce on you and they all know their equipment and they wont steer you wrong. I honestly don't know why you'd buy anywhere else! TEN stars! read more

Went in on Black Friday because I needed a new digital camera after my old one broke. I had my heart set on a Canon Elph 300. By the time we made it in they only had the floor model which they offered me for $30 off the sale price. I purchased my first video camera from them years ago and it was also a floor model, so I decided to take the offer. Came home and tried to charge the battery with no luck. I attempted to charge it with four different outlets in the house and it still wouldn't work. Drove back down dreading what they might say. Walked in and was helped immediately by James and he started troubleshooting and trying to find a charger that worked. The original salesman we had named George also tried to help. They finally figured out the battery was not working and they did not have a replacement in the store. They offered to try and find another deal for a different camera or to provide me with a refund. Since I really wanted that specific camera I said I would take the refund. James started to process the refund and then told us to hold on. When he came back he had the Canon Elph 310 in his hand. He told us that the refund would take 14 days because it was a debit card and that he could offer me the 310 for the same price we paid for the floor model of the 300 version. The 310 was going for $200 normally, plus it was brand new vs. the floor model I bought. I took the deal and came home with my new camera. Works perfectly and has an improvement on some of the features of the 300 I wanted initially. This is the second year in a row we've gone shopping at Video Only for Black Friday and we will definitely go again. They don't have a line around the block like Best Buy, and they make better deals. You might not be able to buy a fridge, movies, and video games, but if you want electronics like televisions, cameras, or blu ray players they are the place to go. They made a situation which could have been really frustrating into a smooth and satisfying experience. read more

This is my first review, and I would like to point out that were it not for the amazing experience I had at the Video Only in Tukwila, I never would have gotten Yelp in order to write this review. With that out of the way, on to the experience. I had already purchased the TV I wanted from Best Buy, which I had researched for weeks. Namely, the Panasonic 50 inch TC-P50ST60. While waiting for the TV to ship, I decided to pay a visit to some local tech stores in search for a sound bar. Video Only was on my list. When I walked in, yes, the store isn't the most high-end and does not have a flashy setup but that's not why I went there for. Tim approached me and asked me if I have any questions. I said no and then continued to look around. I found my TV that I had already purchased but in the 55 inch flavor and decided to mess around with it for a while since the one at Best Buy only had a demo video running on a loop whereas this one had "real" TV. I asked Tim to tell me a little bit about the TV since I had already purchased it. He asked how much I paid for it and I told him "I paid $999 for it." He stepped back and exclaimed "you got a screaming deal." He then proceeded to tell me all about the amazing features as well as the amazing review the TV's predecessor received (the 2012 model is the ST50 whereas the 2013 is the ST60) because the ST60 is so new, at the time I visited the store there were no reviews out yet. While discussing the pros and cons of Plasma vs. LED vs. LCD he exclaimed once again that I got a good deal on the 55 inch, at which point I said "no, I got the 50 inch." Now it all made sense as to why I only paid $999. I then got a bit deflated because the 55 incher was awesome. Tim noticed this and then made me an offer I could not refuse. Retail price on the Panasonic TC-P55ST60 55 inch is $1499. I paid well below that. WELL below that thanks to Tim. He then gave me an awesome deal on shipping and we sealed the deal! I cancelled my order at Best Buy the same day. Once the TV arrived, the deliverymen, Sonny and Brian were amazing! They brought up the TV to the 3rd floor, setup the TV, hooked it up to the cable box and even ensured it properly connected to the internet. They answered all my questions and were very mindful of not scuffing the new furniture or dirty the carpet. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience, from showroom floor purchase, to the awesome deal I got to the timely and professional delivery of my TV. I was a bit apprehensive at first because there are some negative reviews, but I don't regret going there one bit. As for their return policy? Well, it's simple. If you open the box, you can't get a refund. But, you DO get in-store credit and that's good enough for me. If I don't like the TV, I can return it and get a different one. Simple. It's not like I'll change my mind altogether on owning a new TV and want my money back. As long as I can exchange my TV for a different one, I'm good. Great prices on TV's. I ended up buying an 77' LG C9 OLED tv for almost $1000 less than any sale price that I had seen around. Went to Video Only in Federal Way. At the time I had been looking at the SAMSUNG 82" Q8. The prices on them were around $3600 on sale. I mentioned to the sale person that I realy wanted an OLED TV but was not going to spend close to $5000 for a 77 inch TV. Well he said that they had it on sale for $4500 which peeked my interest a little. After talking some more I told him I needed to discuss with my wife and would come possibly the next day. He then told me if I come back that day he would sell it to me for $4000. Told him I will talk to the wife and get back to him. Stopped by Best Buy to see if they could do the same or better and they said no way. Picked up the TV later that day and could not be happier. Even got a price guarantee through Black Friday. High Definition (Hi-Def / HD) TV The Easy Way: My lovely wife and I have been an amplified "rabbit ear" antenna couple ever since we decided cable TV had too many channels of crap and our favorite TV shows were actually on the local stations. We were also fine with our 27" Sony Trinitron TV ca1995. However, with the impending normal TV reception being "wished into the corn field" (for you fellow Twilight Zone fans) in less than 2 months, we (I) figured we had better prepare. Normal reception is being replaced by digital signals so, If you are rabbit ear peeps like us, this means those old "ghosts" on your set will go away altogether and be replaced by an extremely clear picture. Apparently Fred Meyer only carries the low end model. I learned another thing from the salesman. There are different MHz screen refresh rates with the different models. This means, if you get a TV with a 70Mhz refresh rate, you'll get motion blur or trails in the action whereas, if you get a TV with 120MHz refresh, there won't be any motion trails. He demonstrated that for me. Good to know! As it happened, Video Only's Thanksgiving sale was already in progress and the great salesman I had showed me a 42" LG brand HD LCD TV with a razor sharp picture, vivid natural color, a 120MHz refresh rate, and this is cool, a swivel stand. I told him I only had an amplified rabbit ear antenna and he said the demo TV we were looking at was only on an antenna. It was on sale for like $1013.00 or some such thing. I told him my budget was not much more than $1000.00 including tax. He said I could walk out of there with that same kind of set, new in the box, at that sale price including tax. I said "Sold" He grabbed one from the back and loaded it into our truck. To sum up: We absolutely love our new TV and the difference between it and our old picture tube set is nothing short of amazing. So when it comes to TV and Video items, Video Only is the only place I'll look from now on. I love their selection, customer service, the fact they don't hard sell you, and they answer all your questions. Plus, they give you better price for better gear than any department store could. So bring stunning new life to your TV shows and DVD movies and quit stressing out your eyes. Go to video only. As their commercials say "or you'll be sorry!" read more

what a disappointment. hubby and i stopped in here to check out prices on 32" 1080p resolution tv's after a trip to best buy, where we found what hubby has been looking for at a price we liked (sony, 32", 1080p, $600). we see what looks like the same or very, very similar thing here for $700. after milling around the tv section, with one other customer in the entire store, a sales guy finally walks over to us and asks if we have any questions. i said, "no we found the answer to our question," at which point he gazed at me quizzically. i told him we were looking at the sony 32" tv and had seen the same thing at best buy for $100 less. he then begins to argue with me that what i saw there was a 720p and i had to CONVINCE him that i know what the hell i'm talking about! he grabs the best buy ad from the desk and starts flipping through to show me what he's talking about. he finds an ad for another sony for $720, i tell him that's not the one. the one we saw was $600. he then consults another guy, who i'll affectionately refer to as sales guy #2. #2 says well, let me check online. we were then forgotten. we perused blu-ray players and then walked out. but wait...it's not over yet. guy #2 chases us down in the parking lot to get back his best buy ad! "excuse me sir, i need my ad back!" he then asks hubby, "so what did you decide to do?" um, excuse me? was there an offer made or a choice given? not that i recall. whatev. we'll buy our blu-ray player there because they do have the best prices on that (hence the 2nd star), but i'll get the tv i want at the price i want from best buy. read more

I never updated my review! I went in back in November 2012 searching for a particular Samsung LED TV that was running in the ballpark of $1400 anywhere you looked, including here. We waited for a day or two and by the time we returned they'd started their Black Friday sales! Though the price was more reasonable than before, I ended up buying a Panasonic plasma TV which had much more impressive darks, is tons lighter than the plasmas of old and cost about $600 less than the LED, making the entertainment unit I had to buy with it a no-brainer! After a couple of days, the TV started shutting off while we were watching it, more and more often as time went on. We called up Video Only and they were more than happy to exchange it for another. No questions asked. Haven't had any problems since and that was about 7 months ago! Very satisfied with my experience here. read more

I bought my first TV here in 2004, it was a good TV and had no problems with it until it just recently went out on me. I figured instead of spending the $ to fix it, with it being what would now be considered an "older unit", decided to buy a new one. After much research I narrowed it down to a specific TV I wanted. The only store around that had it was Best Buy. I almost didn't even look into Video Only because they don't have an online inventory, which is how I do my research. On a whim, I decided to call and see if they had the exact TV I was looking for, and they did. The person on the phone asked me what the cheapest price I had seen it for was, I told him, he said they have it for cheaper, by $100. I went in that night, looked at the TV, was able to negotiate another $200 off the price, beating the best price in the greater area by $300. I added a FIVE year warranty for only $199. Paperwork was a breeze, the salesman was nice enough, easy process. I do knock off one star because I could hear other salesmen talking about their personal lives and talking somewhat inappropriately, I wasn't offended, but I'm quite certain others would have been. I had a great experience with Video Only. I went in there last Wednesday and bought a new Panasonic LED/LCD tv. It was delivered and installed the next day. That night I noticed that it had a shadow bar on the right side of the display. The next day I had Panasonic trouble-shoot it, and I verified it was an issue for every medium (cable, DVD, Netflix, etc.). I called Video Only and they said I if I came in and signed another delivery/replacement form, they would have it replaced. I drove over Saturday morning, signed the form, and they delivered and re-installed the new tv and took the old one away. The new tv is working great so far and I am very happy! :) read more

Anyhow I walked in made eye contact with the two sales associates as I proceeded to the back of the store to look at the 82 inch 4K TVs . I almost bought one at Costco the day before but didn't to pull the trigger because I wanted to compare. As I'm making myself known that I'm seriously interested by walking back and forth comparing the 3 on display . I keep looking towards the front of the store just to see if anyone would come help me and I knew they saw because one of the salesmen gave nod . So in my head I'm like ok cool so I call my wife to let her know that I'm buying a TV today and to make room etc . I'm literally on the phone for 11 min before anyone one would even look at me . By this time I'm annoyed when I'm sitting on the edge of the sofa and in comes another person a little cleaner then I was . Out comes the two salesmen with the warm welcome and questions where the both of them walked right passed me . Lynnwood Store --Great prices --- but less than worthless customer follow up once you are out the door. Once you buy --- you are on your own from there on. I have purchased four tv's from them. Recently bought a 75 inch Sony (high end model) which has BIG problems. I reported the issue to Video Only salesman and they advised me to call Sony. The Store Manager actually told me that they have nothing to do with warranty once you are out the door!! Sony has no telephone support and referred me to "chat". Chat will not recognize the "chat" form. Customer support finally answered an email with a Case # --- but zero follow up since my original contact two months ago. The warranty appears worthless and the store manager (Dave) was informed and he will not return my calls after confronting him in person. He reluctantly said that he would follow up -- but it has been nearly two weeks since that discussion. Disappointing to say the least. And, what is with Sony?? I have been holding this in for some time now. A few years ago I thought it was a good time to get a larger screen TV. I went to Best Buy and the salesperson clearly recommended a Samsung model. I then went to video only and another salesman directed me to the same Samsung model. It came with 3D which I explained I would never use (and I have never used it, the glasses worked for an hour and have been dead since). Apparently, at the time, 4G was the next big thing but this guy convinced me the $1500 3D Samsung was the deal of the day so I bought it. The next week Video Only ran an ad offering the same TV with a free 4G DVD player. I called and the guy said I wasn't eligible. Two weeks later the same TV was selling for $800. I called again and was brushed off. Fast forward one year and the 4G sets are selling for $500. What do they say: shop at Video Only and you will be sorry! Clearly this guy was motivated by greed (as was the Best Buy guy). Any future purchases will be at Costco or a reliable local dealer. The big box retailers don't care about their customers and they will rip you off whenever possible! Only gave them a one star because I can't give them a zero. I got conned into buying something that didn't even work for the purpose I needed it. Last Monday, I called and was told by a salesperson (who is apparently the manager there) that they had a machine that converts video to DVD, informed him that I had a video camera with mini cassettes (not a regular VHS tape), and he said that it would be no problem to use this recording device that they sell to convert the cassettes into DVD - I would just need to record it in real time. I get to the store, he asked if I had a certain cord, which I did and showed it to him. He gave me instructions on how to record and I purchased the product. Of course, trusting that I had everything I needed. I went home and opened the box. The instructions stated that I needed yet another cord, which was definitely not in the box, nor was it a cord I possessed. So I was not able to record anything that I needed and the device I purchased for almost $200, rendered itself completely useless. My husband went back to return the machine a few days later and he was greeted with rudeness and sarcasm by that same individual who sold me the product. He told that we could not return this useless machine and be reimbursed in the same way we paid for it, that he was lying, the machine did actually work for us because I had everything I needed, and we are dishonest, complete idiots. The instructions, which are in the box, requiring you OPEN the box, will show that you need yet another cord to transfer the video directly from the device onto DVD - which is not sold with the device, nor is it one I own. This, in and of itself should have been an important consideration made with respect to honoring their word, services and products, and retaining a potential repeat customer. Their salesperson/manager gave us a store credit because we opened the box (to only read the directions, discover the machine would not work). Poor business practice and no ethics. He treated my husband with disrespect, argued with him about how my husband was wrong, and did not even take a second to even look at the instructions in the booklet to see that we are 100% honest and accurate about the functionality of the product for what we needed it for. In the meantime I have a useless store credit and will not ever step foot in that store again. I will be sure to tell everyone I know, including report to the BBB, Attorney General, and all other consumer protection agencies against this company. read more

I called Video Only and talked to Duane and he spent time helping find a set since it had to fit within about a 1/2 inch for a custom install .The unit he came up with was a sony he didnt have on display but thought there was one at best buy in bellevue and suggested i take a look before buying. He told me he would sell the set for $3300.00 if i wanted one. I went to bellevue and looked at the set and it was priced at $4495.00.The picture was ok and i took some final measurements then went to Video Only. I was sure i had either been misquoted or we were looking at the wrong product. Duane was not working but another person helped me and said they had one in stock,bought it for the $3300.00 quoted and the guy helped me load in pouring rain. Thing is everyone took the time to help me get what i needed and as a bonus they were 25 percent cheaper. I saved over $1000.00 without even asking for any kind of deal or sale. My husband and I had a fantastic experience with this Video Only. My husband researched TVs before we made our final purchase of a number 1 rated Samsung. After comparing TVs at Best Buy, Fry's, Newegg, and Amazon, we found the cheapest price at Video Only. The manager was the first person to greet us and even matched a price that I pulled up on my phone. Update! Have had this tv for almost 3 weeks. I didn't realize these flat screens are a lot smaller than your older projections. I came in without the tv and told him my concern that It was too small for my location that I was putting it in. And I was very skeptical about their return policy because of what others have said on here, but I wanted to jump up a size and Fred said no problem! I recently went to Video Only to compare prices on TV's at the South Center location. Upon entering I was greeted by a salesman named John. John was very polite and helpfull. But what i appreciated most was how knowledgeable he was. I wasn't planning on buying anything yet before doing my shopping but John seemed to know what was going on at all the other stores without me having to look. He wasn't pushy but showed me several options in my budget. I felt like he sold me a TV based on what I wanted not what he made a bunch of money on. I will definitely recommend Video Only to friends. I was shopping for an new TV - the guy at Costco literally told me to buy my tv at Video Only. Strange thing - I have bought all my TVs from Video Only except for one I bought at Circuit City over the last 15 years. I am a major cheap ass and Video Only has always without fail given me the best deal .. Their product knowledge is also unsurpassed. Im not given them 5 stars because nobodys perfect. Great place to shop! Went shopping for a TV and they were the only ones who knew what they were talking about. The salespeople are on you pretty quick, but then again but it was better than being ignored at other stores where I actually had to look for help. Lowest prices and no pressure. I bought two TVs on the same trip to Video Only in Lynnwood, WA. I put one up and it was great. A few days later I went to the Navy Exchange (Retired USN) and found a bigger version for less money, plus no sales tax. I grabbed it, repacked the one from video only and went back to the store. It was an opened TV box. Their clear policy is no returns of opened boxes. Since I know folks who buy, watch the super bowl; and then return big screens, I can see the point. We were not happy about that policy, but the manager, Sam, who has worked with some pretty irate customers - us - and we came up with a solution that met Video Only rules and customers desires. Nice job by Video Only to meet customer expectations. read more

I would like to add my disappointment review for this location. I agree with another review that they should check their egos at the door! We purchased a brand new Samsung 60"TV from them, BUYER BEWARE SAMSUNG PUSHED UPDATES THAT MAKE THE TV FEATURES WORTHLESS, well we worked with Mike, nice guy, seemed knowledgeable enough, and oh sure he was all about us getting "the best TV in the store" and hey let me throw in a cheap TV mount too! Well the first TV had a scratched screen, didn't have any problem exchanging it which was great, but now this new TV we have is defective and we just called and spoke to their manger Dewy, and he flat out said NO, I WONT RETURN YOUR MONEY! He spoke down to my boyfriend who is very smart and know electronics and computer issues, the issues with the TV is the updates that Samsung sends out which makes the features worthless. Heck Samsung even admitted it on their website!! and Dewy says that doesn't mean the TV is defective, well Dewy, yes it does, we cant use any of the fancy new "smart TV"features, why would we pay thousands of dollars for a plain TV, we could go to Walmart and get that. We get it, it is not Video only's fault it is Samsung, we don't want to keep a TV that is going to randomly send out firmware that is going to render our TV and features worthless. They can send back the TV and get money, Dewey is just worried about his bottom line and not customer satisfactions. I have read several reviews of people who are loyal to the Video only company who will never go back because of this South center location. The sad part is, if they would just take the TV back we would have probably gone back to a different video only to purchase a TV in the future but because of Dewey's ego and lack of customer service he is writing us off as customers all together! I hope that the owner of this "family owned" location reads these reviews and understands just how many customers he or she are losing because of this. read more
