While he was panicking on the phone trying to find someone who knew a videographer, I did a Yelp search and decided to call Bay Tiger. I explained our "emergency" to Ken when he answered the phone. He said he could probably help us so I handed the phone over to my husband. They quickly worked out the details and agreed on a budget, at which point Ken abandoned his Sunday workout, got in the car and made it to Menlo Park in time to shoot the film that was needed. He also did some quick turnaround editing-as in overnight. While I didn't interact with him beyond the initial phone contact, my husband said that he was extremely professional and very good at what he does. I was tremendously impressed that not only did he answer his phone on a Sunday, he was willing to turn his day upside down to accommodate our request.

He put more time and effort into it than we could have imagined. He was well-underpaid for his work ethic, production, shooting capabilities and editing. What Ken is excellent at is reading our vibe...our feel...and making sure we, the customer, are very happy with the output. Video is our best source of marketing and Ken has put together our best marketing piece yet. I am safe and relieved to say, we have found our man!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Ken for any event you may have, as he will give you quality shots, great energy, excellent editing and a heart to make sure you are happy with the final piece. Thanks Ken!!! The quality of the video I received was first class. The way the team integrated both cameras in the shot came through was perfect. Marina was superb to work with. She was diligent about scoping out and creating a contract from my needs. She was responsive and flexible when we discussed what her work would be that night. I loved how her cameras were small and high quality not taking up a lot of seats in the theater was really valuable as I could sell more seats. Her work post production was remarkable. She was professional as we iterated on that the ultimate video looked and sounded like. I'm SO happy I hired her to do that post production work, no way I could have done that myself. Finally, she created a great trailer clip that I can now send to any potential venues that I want to book my show at. Echoing my friend Cindy L, yes, this team is FABULOUSSSSSSSS and FASTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I met Michael in 2009, and I knew he and his team would be my wedding photographer and cinematographer one day when I tie the knot. In 2010, I introduced my start-up company in Redwood City to Michael and his team to do an IoT video and they loved his work. The animation was pure genius and story line was so easy to comprehend. In 2014, I introduced my best friend, Cindy L, to Michael and his team, for her wedding, and she and her husband absolutely fell in love with Capture the Love photos and cinematography. Fast forward to 2016. When my NOW husband and I booked Nestldown for our wedding venue in 2016, I knew IMMEDIATELY who I would have as my photographer and cinematographer--the wonderful Capture the Love team!!! I did not even shop around. Right after we signed the contract with Nestldown, I immediately called Michael Soo and made sure we reserve him for Fall 2017 before another couple snatch him from us. Michael and his team come at a price, but you SERIOUSLY pay for what you get. I honestly don't know any team who work as fast as this team. We took our engagement photos and finished around 5pm and within 3 hours, we received sneak previews, and by 9pm, we received all our photos! We had our wedding on Saturday, which ended at 10pm, and by midnight, we received 2 sneak previews!!!! On Tuesday (yes less than 72 hours later), we received another 20 photos!!!! He informed us that all the photos will be ready by Friday afternoon (less than 7 days from our wedding!!) ! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY, no one works this fast, except this fabulous team. I keep looking at the 20+ photos and I am still floating on cloud 9 and reliving every moment of our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, the team showed up early, which was SOOOO MUCH appreciative, so they could ensure they were able to capture every little minute detail. They always had a smile on their faces, even when they have to deal with crazy family members and vendors who get in the way of the shots. I looked in the corner of my eye and I was personally annoyed certain ppl/kids were in the shot, but the team was very professional and never yelled or had a frown on their faces. This definitely helps keep the bride calm. I never doubted this team and trusted them whenever they told us to go here and there, and do this and that pose. I told them, "tell us what to do and we will do it!" I can't wait to see all the photos and the cinematography so I can relive one of the best days of my life! When you ask former brides and grooms for wedding planning tips, they always say, "spend money on your photography and cinematography!!!" Best advice ever since you get to keep these photos and videos forever compared to florals which will last no more than a few days! Thank you so much Capture the Love!! Money well spent!!! We cannot emphasize how much we truly appreciate him. On the wedding day, they worked tirelessly, guided us when needed, and allowed the most meaningful moments to unfold naturally. After I had put my deposit down, I found out that Sonny (the creative mind) had left leaving David in charge. Most videographers ask what you are looking for in your video, what moments you'd like them to capture, etc. When I inquired about that, David advised they do not have a questionnaire for us to fill out, but I could send it along. On the day of our wedding he arrived at our hotel with an additional shooter, which he did not mention prior. They completely lacked professionalism and it was as if they were three guys just goofing around. There was no vision, it was just them shooting random things that were happening. They brought a drone, and decided to test it out that day, so they also wasted time on that when they could have been capturing other moments. I decided not to get upset and let it ruin the most important day of my life, since I had yet to see the end result. Three months after our wedding, we received the initial video. I asked if certain edits could be made, and was told I'd see them in a week. A week went by and nothing. I sent him email after email and when there was a response it was always "you will receive it in a week". There was always an excuse, he used "my main editor had an emergency" a lot. Our contract stated that the final product would be delivered 6-8 months after the wedding date. My husband had to step in and eventually, after a year and 8 months we finally received our video. Mind you the video was mediocre in comparison to the work that was done when Sonny was there. It was such an important day, and we hired a videographer to capture specific moments that you can look back on. It was such a disappointing video and terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

They were out of our price range but I begged my husband to go with them because I've watched all their videos and I loved every one of them. Plus, I've met Sonny through mutual friends and he seems like a pretty easy guy to work with. Our wedding was on 7/11/15 and we signed our contract on 3/25/2014. A couple of months before our wedding, we caught wind that Sonny left Lightbulb to start his own production. We were disappointed but hopeful that his previous partners would carry the torch and we'll still get an amazing video. The day of our wedding, Davian and a team member were punctual, friendly, and professional. They were great. The only problem was we didn't receive our wedding package until 6/24/2016. Yes, almost a whole year later! Throughout this time family and friends, constantly, asked us about our wedding video. We had several friends who got married in 2016 who got their wedding video before us. Honestly, it was embarrassing and frustrating. At first, we didn't bug them about our video. We knew these projects takes time and we didn't want to rush them and end up with a crappy video. The contract did say it may take up to 6-8 months to receive the final package. But after 6 months of not hearing anything from Lightbulb, I decided to reach out. In January 2016, I emailed Davian to ask about their progress. Two weeks later he sent me an email with an apology for the delay, a link to the featured film, and a promise that our project will be completed and shipped in 2 weeks. We wanted to share the long-anticipated video with our family and friends through social media but the link required a password. I asked him to remove the password so it could be viewed by everyone. Not only did I not get a response to my request, we did not get our package in two weeks. I emailed him once a month, thereafter. I didn't hear from him until June when he asked me to send him photos for the DVD cover. This was the last time I heard from him. He texted my husband to let him know that he shipped out our package. Their work was okay at best, neither of us were blown away. The quality of the video wasn't even in HD. We were expecting so much more, after waiting for almost a whole year. So, there it is. Poor communication, broken promises, angry parents and a mediocre wedding video is all we got from them. We know we're not their only project but a little communication and being forthright goes a long way.

She was incredibly polite, professional, a true artist in her work -- and you can tell, she's just a very sweet, genuine individual. She carefully listened to any requests my husband and I had, and even respectfully gave feedback that I should just trust her craft (after I was sharing some very specific ideal shots / feelings / flow and video pan -- and honestly, I also didn't really know what I was talking about ;)). I was just incredibly amazed by her other sample videos online and wanted *that* for my own wedding -- but she delivered that, and more!
