Ok, this is my lame review. I mean lame in the respect where i review a Hardcore record label and goo and gah over them. My logic? Twofold. They are a bidness and ive given them shitloads of money. I fell in love with Victory coutesy of a sampler (Not the Whitman's kind) back in da 90's. You know how when you crank out a fart, it scares your cat and their ears go back on their head and their eyes get wide, and theyre all like "What the fuck was that? No wait...Seriosuly, dude...did you hear that?" Thats how i was the first time i listened to it all the way through riding home from a Bloodlet show in Albany NY in my trusty VW GTi (RIP). I had seen the bands, but could never find recorded material. Victory basically put the biggest HC names on the map, Strife, Snapcase, Bloodlet, and Earth Crisis and helped get other bands like Hatebreed and Atreyu (ick) on the map. I grew up on Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), 25 ta Life and the Gorilla Biscuits, Victory opened my ears and mind to some shit that helped evolve me into the perfect mental specimen i am today. Every year or so they crank out a sampler called Victory Style, and sell it major record stores for FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS. If you be into \m/etal or HC, do yourself and this perimount label a favor and shell out the lettuce for all of these, and listen to the evolution of quasi stream HC. Tell em Mick sent you for a free "I dont know who the fuck that is, but eh well, here is a cupcake" look. read more
