It was like an adult candy store on Record Store Day today. I like how the register says, please
    Meg R.

I might just say, this store has come a long way in 50 years. Seems lots of people sell their collection. I saw a room today that was one persons collection that was willed to the shop. Just know, personality wise, these guys are classic High Fidelity style shop guys. Ultimately they are nice. If you can't find something, ask them to find it or walk you all the way to the section or row, room they say where you can find it. Seriously, try to engage them, they are knowledgeable of records, equipment, and generally if they don't know the answer, they'll point you to someone who can give you the answer. Lots of times, it's Jack Dreznes. He's so engrossed in all the vinyl. So, just check it out. Bring a dream list and just try to find the records you want. Their motto, if you can't find it, we can!

Great shop in a German-Irish neighborhood. I was right at home! Thanks for the pile of wax gentlemen. I'll see you in the spring time.

Super small record shop with lots of unorganized vinyl. Prices are a bit steep. However, there is always a good find.

And the prices are really great, as well. The owner(I forget his name) was really awesome to talk to, and explained a lot about the store to me. Including the record/band/artist reference book in the front, where those artist/band and album name books used to be periodically mailed out to his record store and other stores, by a certain company. Though from what he told me, that company stopped producing those reference books by the early 2000s, sadly to say. The unfortunate thing is that too many other Chicago record stores seem a little overpriced IMO for their used records, such as for example Rattleback Records in Andersonville(Chicago) and Rediscover Records(Elgin). I'm glad this store wasn't like that for being overpriced for used records, and actually OTOH was pretty affordable. Their prices for used CDs, DVDs, and tapes was decent, as well. Yes no doubt for some people this store may be slightly out of the way. But I'd say for darn sure if you do like browsing in a record store, you should visit here at least once in your life! I do like how the inside of this store still felt pretty old school in its inside look, as well. And probably little changed, from when(I think) it first opened in the 1970s.

Chuck, the owner, really knows how to run a business. It shows in every aspect of the store. Owning two Disc Replay locations is no accident--you can tell he understands what customers are looking for and has built a business around quality, fairness, and a great experience. The new Orland Park location is an absolute godsend for collectors like me. It's clean, bright, well organized, and packed with an incredible selection of games, movies, music, electronics, and collectibles. Every visit feels like a treasure hunt. I also have to give credit to Dannel. He runs a tight ship, and it shows. The store is consistently spotless, everything is organized, and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. It's obvious he takes pride in what he does and keeps the entire operation running smoothly. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Everyone treats customers with respect, the pricing is fair, and you never feel pressured. Whether you're buying, selling, or just browsing, it's a genuinely enjoyable experience. If you're into retro gaming, vinyl, movies, electronics, or collectibles, this is a store that's absolutely worth your time. Disc Replay Orland Park has set the standard for what a secondhand media store should be. Highly recommended!

Instead of actually checking, he led me to a section that I already knew was incorrect. I went along with it briefly to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it quickly became clear he wasn't interested in helping. Without making any effort to search or verify, he simply said they didn't have the item. He then brought over another employee who immediately backed him up rather than attempting to locate the item or provide any real assistance. This was a stark contrast to my past experiences at the Orland Park location, where employees were helpful, looked items up on their computers, and were able to locate plenty of what I was searching for. Unfortunately, the lack of effort and professionalism at this location has cost them a long-time customer. I will not be returning.
