We ventured to Bridgeport and we were lucky to find them open. I love finding stores like this because you have the opportunity to dig for the gems. The staff at Let's Boogie has been working dilligently to get the store more organized, and the items priced. There is stuff everywhere, from vintage vinyl, CD'S, tapes, DVDS and even VHS. They are still actively buying and getting new sealed albums also. I found a bunch of stuff I didn't know I was looking, and a few I left behind because I was over my budget. Prices are comparable to what you would find on Discogs but you may be able to work something out with the owner. Enjoy!! I originally stopped in because it was recommended by Pinwheel Records, and I'm really glad I did. The shop has an incredible selection and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. Drew especially was fantastic to talk with. I asked about local Chicago music and he immediately had great recommendations and insight into the scene. One of the coolest things about the shop is that 606 has its own label, and I was able to pick up a limited release of Balance: A Compilation Without Boundaries -- featuring artists with parallels to the city of Chicago, experimenting sonically & balanced with music.  You can tell this place genuinely cares about music discovery and supporting artists. Definitely worth a stop if you're digging around Chicago for records beyond the usual mainstream finds. I was traveling and like Pinwheel, 606 was also able to ship my purchases home for me. Shops like this proved to me the Chicago music scene is extremely vibrant!

Basic looking store crammed full of games and other toys you have to comb through to find anything. It's got an entire wall of Fun Pops. There's something from almost every cartoon you can think of along with movie characters and whoever. Come trade Pokémon or whatever knockoff cards. They also have a section of vinyl if you're looking for hip music. Find lots of great stuff to buy, or sell to get cash. It's hard to choose only a few things to get. The staff is a bunch of nerds so they know lots of things about quality and value.

The Good: I would pay just to chat with the owners. These guys are a fountain of knowledge when it comes to music, especially Chicago-based music. If anyone can ever pull together the funds to open a Chicago Music Museum, these are the first people you want to talk to. The Bad: The shop needs a deep cleaning. A lot of the music is unaccessible and will take unpacking and "digging" to find what you want. The music that is accessible, for the most part, is not protected by plastic and most items are in "good" to "poor" condition. You will be hard pressed to find any pristine items here. And, unfortunately, prices do not reflect the condition. All items seem to be priced at the high end of the scale. Conclusion: A record shop worth visiting... yes, it is worth the drive if you are not from the area. You will find records you've never seen before, and may never see again, but be prepared to pay higher than online prices.
