a bag of flour

Found the Puri Bread at Super King on a whim and I am loving it! It's so soft and chewy and sturdy and bakes perfectly. I slice in half, add cheese, and bakes it before topping with stuff. It holds itself together, perfectly crusty on the outside but still manage to be soft and chewy inside. The nutrition label doesn't really tell much tho. Tip: put it in the fridge if you don't plan on eating it all within a few days. Mine got moldy on day 5 after purchasing :( I guess they don't use preservatives.

Unbelievable how hard-working they are here! They are open 24 seven which is just unheard of. Prices are beyond fair, I am a huge fan of their spinach pocket which tastes just like a calzone and only costs $2! I will be back to stock up on those, because they freeze and reheat easily. They're lavash bread is delicious as well as their sweet treats. Service is wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend supporting a local business as hard-working as this one!

A long standing local 24 hr bakery with an assortment of bread for incredible prices. I've gotten lavash bread for my roommate and significant other on more than one occasion and it's always top quality. I'm pretty sure they do business with other businesses and companies all over Los Angeles, because this bread is super rich and distinct. The parking is limited in a shared lot with a pizzeria and Piroshki House however Victory Bread is worth your visit. The inside is pretty small and lines do form from locals out the door and into the lot, on weekends during the day... But that's the beauty of a 24/7 bread shop. It's cash only and you definitely get extra bang for your bucks.

Their puri bread is magical! We use it in our sandwiches for my catering company and it's so perfect. Gets nicely crispy when baked but still tender on the inside. Even our sandwiches the next day are so good when we reheat them. The bread reheats perfectly Can't recommend this bakery enough! FYI. I always ask for plastic sleeves for my puri bread cause it dries out in the paper sleeves that come with it.

No matter what time of the day you come here this place always has warm soft fresh bread, best in the valley nothing else comes close their quality. Parking can be nightmare at time and they only accept cash.

Hair baked into dough in upper left side

Discussing... hair baked into the bread. This morning I bought puri bread from a local market and when I cut into it there was hair, SUPER GROSS! Seems that they don't wear hair nets while preparing the dough or something. Will not be purchasing victory bread product again and absolutely do not recommend it to others as cleanness must be an issue in their kitchen.

This place has reasonably priced bread! They have large loads of bread for only $2.00 bread! They have a bourses with all greens for all you vegans out there! They have lavash bread for only 2.00 also! Just make sure you bring cash because they don't accept credit cards!

Burned, reheated borek. Not worth it.

Very sad to write this review because it was my first experience here but I'm doing it so that others are not put in the same situation as I was. I called to order on Friday for Monday. While I wanted to pick up the catering earlier, they asked me to pick it up a bit later which was cutting it close but I decided to be flexible and agreed. My sister went to pick up my order and they delayed it again by another 20 minutes. All of which I could have gotten over had my order not come to me the way it had. I paid in full for 12 lamaju and I was given was 4 and some random tortilla with spinach on top. Additionally, the borek I ordered was burned and tasted re-heated. When I reached out, no one offered help and I was blown off several times. Last minute I had to have family members drive to another bakery to replace their mistake so I ended up paying double. See pictures for a reference. Long story short, don't waste your money here, there are tons of great bakeries/catering options in Noho.

Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. I personally just don't like that style still, so I'll chalk it up as a "me" problem. The cooked part was good. The Rocky Road was cooked through. It was an amazing baked good with good flavor and add-ins. Between the roasted almond slices and fudgey chocolate chips, I was enjoying it immensely. A highlight of my day for sure. If you love underbaked cookies, Levain is your cookie shop! I don't and they had something for me too!

Based on my memories, this LA location keeps it consistent with a similar taste and texture as the NY location. 3.5/5 Chocolate Chip Walnut: This cookie was tall and slightly undercooked in the middle. The middle was a bit on the squishy side, and crunchy on the outside. Due to the undercooked quality, it's not a cookie I'd get regularly, though I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan. 5/5 Rocky Road: This was delicious. I'm not usually a marshmallow fan, but the addition of this ingredient formed a nice chewy consistency that I expect from a cookie. Chocolatey tidbits were well melted into the cookie texture and produced some fudgey notes. The cookie sizes are large and potentially shareable, and feel like an every once in awhile treat.

The ham is rolled up and in the center of the croissant, so make sure you bite into it lengthwise to get the ham and cheese all together. Fantastically savory!!! Elderflower Rhubarb: Not as sweet as it appears to be!! Delicious--the elderflower notes come through as you chew, and the ratio of jam to bread is generous. Chocolate Hazelnut Pain au Suisse: Tasty, chocolatey, and hazelnut flavors throughout. Feels like a refined Ferrier Rocher wrapped in bread. Definitely needed water alongside this one because it's quite rich! This was a fun spot to try, and the vibes are beautiful, cozy, and quiet on a weekend morning! Ham and Gruyere Croissant: Fluffy, crispy, airy croissant. Kind of a basic ham and cheese but the croissant makes it a worthy breakfast choice. Iced Honey Latte: Regular iced coffee, nothing special. There is outdoor seating area which is very cute but quite small. The inside itself is also small with no seating, so plan accordingly when considering to dine there vs take to go. Service: Polite/typical. Was fast for how busy it was. Overall a good breakfast choice, especially considering the variety of pastry options!

I had been to the one in Laguna Niguel and this one in Little Tokyo is more spacious, with an area where you can eat. I bought an oyako pork shumai, curry pan and spicy curry pan. The shumai was like dumpling filling in a bun. My faves were the curry pan, which were super flavorful and vegetarian. The spicy curry one does have a kick (great for my husband), while I prefer the regular curry as I can't handle spice. Wish I had one closer to me!

It's like a fancy filet o fish without the soggy bun, packed with amazing fried fish and tarter sauce. I'm just disappointed when they don't have this in stock, but sometimes they would make more, and that'll just be an extra wait. Downside is that I first tried the fish panini years ago and it was a bit better then, but it's still good currently. Other pastries I've tried here have been pretty good. They had some various buns with mochi inside, and those were great. Another one of my fave is their mentaiko salt bun. Great flavor, though I wish they would stuff the thing with more mentaiko. Their curry breads are good too. I took my daughter here and she got one with cute emoji drawn on, and she said the custard filling and the bread was tasty as well. I've tried some drinks here and they were alright. A friend was into their banana matcha when they have that in stock. Pretty simple layout here. Get in line and see the goods, then you reach the cashier and order and pay.

They're also very on-trend, whenever a Korean dessert goes viral, they usually have it here. Recently, they even started selling butter tteok, and I heard it was one of the first places to have it in K-town. I highly recommend the salted bread. Honestly, I think it's even better than the famous spot everyone talks about. My favorite is the corn cheese, it's especially delicious when it's warm. I also tried the Korean chamoe (melon) smoothie, and it was very refreshing. It tasted like they used real melon, since there was a slight natural tanginess that made it even better. I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.
