These pastries were not your everyday desserts--they were little works of art, and every single one was incredibly decadent and delicious. We had the Blossom, with vanilla mousse, pistachio and red berry insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. The combination of creamy, nutty, fruity, and crunchy textures was so beautifully balanced. Every bite had something different going on, but somehow it all worked together perfectly. Then there was the Tropical Mango, made with mango and passion fruit mousse, fresh mango filling, coconut crunch, and coconut sponge. This one was such a gorgeous tropical escape! Bright fruit flavors balanced with that delicate coconut richness, and the textures made it just as interesting as it was delicious. We also had a beautiful pistachio creation with pistachio mousse, pistachio praline, pistachio and hazelnut crunch, and pistachio sponge. I'm not completely certain of the exact name because the color of ours looked a little different from the one pictured on their menu, but whatever this beauty was called, it was absolutely amazing. If you love pistachio, this one is definitely worth seeking out. What I loved most about Artelice is that these aren't simply pretty pastries. Each one feels thoughtfully constructed, with layers of mousse, sponge, crunch, fruit, and praline creating a completely different experience from bite to bite. They're rich and decadent without feeling like you're just eating one big blast of sweetness. And the presentation? Gorgeous. These are the kind of desserts that make you pause before taking that first bite because they're almost too pretty to disturb... almost. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

My husband fell in love with them in Portugal and he's been craving them ever since we got home. I'm happy to say that the pastéis de nada at Natas Pastries are just as delicious as the ones we had in Portugal. Their other breakfast food was delicious as well. I had the All American Breakfast, and the potatoes were incredible! My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with linguiça, and he loved it! My daughter ordered a lemon bar, slice of lemon cake and a small chocolate chip cookie. My first impression of the desserts that I chose was that they were sweet. I could feel the graininess of the sugar in the chocolate covered peanut butter bar. The strudel was tasty but light on the apple filling. Between the chocolate chips and sugar the cookie was sweeter than what I usually like but still a good cookie. I tried my daughter's lemon bar and I liked it. The things I tried I'm thinking 3 stars, my daughter liked the things she bought so averaging it out maybe a solid 3.5 stars rounded up to a generous 4 stars. Service was okay. Natas has a wide variety of pastries. I think the other items on the menu are more well received. I'll need to go back next time I am in town to try out some of other menu items.

All three employees told me that was "beyond their job duties" and refused to help. Instead, they pointed to the sign stating they don't accept $100 bills and had me leave without making any effort to accommodate a regular customer. The disappointing part isn't that they couldn't break a $100 bill--it's that no one showed even the slightest willingness to help find a solution. I come here almost every Friday because I have appointments at the salon next door, and after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. A little kindness and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, I found neither here.
