The Best Most Deliciously Kept Secret In All Of DTLA…read more I'd been craving really great smoked Bar-B-Que. EVERYONE said there was no place better than Bo Daddy's. And they could not have been more right. I spent $70 and needed a box to hold all the food. I thought initially it would be enough for a couple of weeks or even more. But I devoured every bit of it within days. I don't believe there's seating in or outside. So call ahead and pick it up. Your taste buds will love you for it. ツ My new BEST Go-2 Spot 4 Que

What I appreciated most was the balance. The service never felt overbearing, so we could relax, enjoy our dinner, and have our own space, while still feeling completely taken care of. Trevor was especially good at anticipating what we might need and checking in at just the right moments, often noticing something before we even had to ask. Everyone we encountered throughout the evening was pleasant, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the entire experience feel effortless. I left genuinely impressed with the level of service and will definitely be back. Trevor and the rest of the team made an already great dinner that much better.

Luckily, my younger brother turned me on to Bludso's recently and we just finished a family lunch there. Since they only serve their sandwiches on weekdays, we opted for Fried Okra, "2 Meats 2 Sides"(chicken and brisket), two sandwich buns. At the suggestion of our server, Beto, we added an extra quarter pound of sliced brisket. Beto really knows what he's doing... and because of him it was a perfectly satisfying amount of food for the three of us. He definitely went above and beyond. We're looking forward to heading there on one of the next weekdays our teenager has off to try their sandwiches.

A++ service here. We're definitely going to come back next time we're in the area.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!…read more When the employee lured us in, she said to go to the counter inside and wait for someone to seat us. There were several employees that saw us just standing there, but we still waited there for 5 mins before someone told the girl from outside to take us to our table. We were finally seated. Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

I've been to the Cerritos location a few times before so it was interesting to see the differences in setup (no buffet bar but rather everything ordered on the iPad). The meat was super fresh and full of flavor, and the other dishes were high quality as well. I especially enjoyed the beef tongue and seared salmon nigiri, and surprisingly was impressed by the karaage as well. I especially loved the cheesy egg tart at the end, which was small but packed with yumminess. James, our server, provided great instructions on how to use the iPad and was very prompt in making sure our food got to us in time and that our grills were changed. We really appreciate his service!

We wished we came with more people so we could've tried more of the menu. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, Gouda Mac and cheese, and the ribs. The coconut beef is one of my favorite but the taste is really strong so it's not for everyone. The Mac and cheese was how I want mines to be as an adult. The ribs were full of flavor with each bite. We also ordered the ube flan for dessert and highly recommend it. It's sweet but the ube flavoring gives it a little oomph. Service is super friendly. Parking was easy. We parked for free on the streets. Def will be back.

Nothing drastically different from the other Gyu-Kaku locations, but the quality and service are dependable. Overall, good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. A solid choice for Japanese BBQ in DTLA.

So, relatives came to town specifically asking for ribs and brisket so I rolled over there. There were about six people waiting and I saw it was cash only, so I decided to be efficient rather than perturbed. I went to the ATM, came back and placed and paid for my small tray, ran an errand for my upcoming guests and came back. Perfect timing - when I got back my order was hot and steamy. As were those hot links! Whew! Everything was succulent, except that I found the chicken to be a touch dry. And for a tray for 6-8 people, how about containers of potato salad and beans? Those were about 2 cups each. You know y'all just got those sides in bulk at Costco. Anyways the sauce had the complexity of a family recipe covering the smoked meats to perfection. More than enough meat! That young girl who served me was a sweetheart. Keep doing you, Woody's. Never change.

Our favorites are the chicken sausage, beef ribs, sliced beef, and corn on the cob. I always get the medium-hot sauce on the side--the food is good! I'm giving them four stars because they only accept cash and don't take phone orders. During the holidays, you have to wait outside in a very long line, and I'm not a fan of that process. One more thing: Be careful when parking in front because cars fly down Slauson! If you stop by, tell them Christine the Realtor sent you!

The brisket and pork belly burnt ends were both 10/10, and the sausage was a solid 9/10. The mac and cheese was to die for, and the potato salad and coleslaw were delicious. We also had hazy IPAs, which were 10/10! It was a little pricey, about $130 for two people excluding drinks, but we definitely overordered since it was our first time and we weren't familiar with the portions. My only complaint was that our order was mistakenly packaged as takeout, even though we planned to dine in. Everything came in containers instead of trays, which made sharing and eating a little awkward. We had to ask for an extra tray and didn't realize cardboard trays were available until later. I was literally eating off one of the container lids because I didn't know where else to put my food, lol! Other than that, great food, music, and atmosphere! Parking was easy to find behind the restaurant and cost around $2-$3. Would definitely come back!
