I would not recommend this business to anyone going forward. Just because he has the word "Custom"…read morein his business name doesn't mean he can do anything. I refuse to take my seats back to him because I don't want to wait another month to get them back. He will give you a date and not come through. He told me my project would take 5 business days and it ended up being 11 weeks. I had to ask him if I had to get the BBB or lawyer involved because he was not giving me a date he would be finished. He may be good for small projects but not a full interior like I had. Pros: -The rear speaker deck cover he did came out as I expected and was perfect to me. -Rear seats came out good. -Bernard is a nice guy and will answer any question you might have. Cons: -Bad communication. Hardly answered my call or texts. I still have the text messages. -Deadline dates were never met. There was always an excuse. -He took 2 deposits from me then asked me for the entire amount and delivers 2 months later. 5 business days is how long he told me it would take. -Shop is swarmed with kittens/cats so beware if you're allergic like me. Your upholstery will smell like it. My seats smell like pee or dirty cat. I don't know... -Does not pay attention to detail. Seats came back with stains and damage. Glue was left on the seat. Red stitching was not straight and even on the seat. -I felt like I was being pushed off after I paid in full. 5/23 UPDATE: 5/23 - all pictures were recent. They even have the GPS location on where I took them and what time. I have no reason to lie about this. I have every single text messages saved on my phone. Yes I was happy with the rear seats and door panels. Matter in fact, the door panels are already bubbling up. Should I do a new review for that? I posted 1 of many pics that I've taken at his business where he said I lied about posting old pictures. I asked him for a price for everything and he gave it to me. I never asked for a discount or anything for free.

That alone carries so much nostalgia for me. Walking into the new spot definitely feels different. It's hard not to compare it to what it used to be. The old location always felt full, lively, and kind of like a staple in the community. This new space feels quieter and honestly a bit empty, which made me a little sad. I even noticed signs asking customers to come in and support, which makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Price wise, I've always known Broken Horn to have occasional good sales, but overall it's usually not the best deal in town. I recently went in specifically looking for a pooper scooper they used to carry years ago because it was amazing and I genuinely wanted to support local instead of ordering on Amazon. Unfortunately, they didn't have it. The only similar option was plastic and priced the same as what I could get online, so it just didn't make sense. I ended up ordering from Amazon, which I honestly hated doing because I would've preferred to give them the business. That said, I'm still giving them an honorary five out of five purely because of the memories and what this place meant growing up in Baldwin Park. They still offer dog vaccines, which is a huge plus for the community and something I appreciate. I really hope they find their footing again and make whatever adjustments are needed to bring back that special feeling the old location had. Broken Horn has history here, and I genuinely want to see it thrive again.

I highly recommend M&M Shoe Repair! I came in with a very special request for my prosthetic leg;…read morethe sole was badly worn down and close to being permanently damaged. Mario spent hours working on it to ensure it was fixed correctly. The result looks great, and he used very high quality materials and glue. He charged a very reasonable price for such a difficult task. I've already gone running 3 times since the repair, and the sole is holding up perfectly. Thank you, Mario!

If you want to WASTE YOUR TIME and MONEY this is the place to go! Few things to describe this business is: UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, ARROGANT, LACK OF PUNCTUALITY, UNORGANIZED, and OVERPRICED. Worst yet, YOU WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR SHOES ACCORDING TO THE OWNER/WORKER'S SCHEDULE EVEN IF IT NOT ON THE PICK UP DATE THAT YOU ARE GIVEN!! So if you also like being told what to do by an employee, and you are the customer, then this is the place to go. A quick side note before writing out the incidents...I went in FOR THE SECOND TIME (07/21/14), and saw a lady needing a leather bag handle repair. As I was waiting and saw Mario (who is the root of all of this) assist the lady, the whole time he acted so arrogant and treated the lady like crap. Don't let his kind voice trick you into leaving your money or anything for repair here. Incident 1: I was suppose to pick my black boots up at 4PM on 07/07/2014, like I was told, for an out of town trip I was going on the next day (07/08/2014). I get there 15 min early to pick them up. I see an "open" sign, but as I attempted to enter the store, the door is locked. I assumed maybe a late lunch break? So I call the repair guy, Mario, to ask what's going on for him to tell me that he "left" the store 20 min. early and that he is on the freeway...FOR WHAT? No explanation and he has the AUDACITY TO TELL ME to, "COME PICK THE SHOES UP THAT NIGHT!" when this place closes at 6PM...It doesn't make any sense!! My friend was going to take me somewhere that night, so I was not going to go out of my way to follow by his rules. He also told me to pick it up by the next morning, but I had to leave for the airport at 6AM! As I tried to leave the parking, a fellow worker next door for a different repair shop asked what had happened. And to my surprise, Mario didn't leave 20min early, but only a few minutes before I got there!!! Only thing that crossed my mind was, could this guy not have waited 10, 15 more minutes for me to pick them up!? The fellow worker I spoke to offered to call him for me, but the response was the same. I went home mad and disappointed. Also the drive to this place from my home is 20 minutes, which may not seem dreadful, but when you consider wasting your gas for this nonsense, it's not worth it. I ended up taking a different set of boots that needed heel replacement to a place in a mall, whom finished the repair in less than an hour! Just a wonderful job and a lifesaver!! It might be a quick repair, but the heels have lasted very well during my trip which requires a lot of walking. If you're in the Walnut or Diamond Bar area needing a quick fix, the place is in Brea mall near SEARS. Much kinder staff and much more affordable/reasonable. I called last minute and the guy told me to "Just bring in your shoes!" in a happy tone. Incident 2 Today, 07/21/14, I returned from my trip and finally went to pick up by boots I had been longing for. This is where the side not comes in before my second dreaded experience comes in. After the lady leaves, I hand my slip telling him that I wanted to pick up my shoes. He asks what they are and I tell him that they are black boots. Mario and his co-worker start searching for it, and he tries to pull down a pair of shoes which turn out to be BLACK PUMPS saying are these it? Can this guy not distinguish between pumps and boots?? As they continue to search, I come to a realization that there are these boxes upon boxes of repaired shoes and bags that you would literally take forever to dig through to find what you are looking for. Hence this place is the most unorganized shoe repair I had probably seen. Finally, Mario tells me that HE DOESN"T HAVE MY BOOTS? WHAT THE!? What does he mean he doesn't have my boots?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? He tells me that he TOOK THEM HOME WITH HIM to organize everything. REALLY!? TO ORGANIZE EVERYTHING THAT IS STILL SO UNORGANIZED!? First thing first, I had never come across, or heard of, a shoe repair worker that takes your shoes home!! I have been to multiple other places before before I moved back to Walnut/Diamond Bar area, but every single location HAS THE SHOES AT THEIR STORE AT ALL TIMES!! So of course, Mario tells me to PICK THEM UP AGAIN TOMORROW and that HE WILL HAVE THEM FOR SURE. I could not hold it in any longer, and told him that this is the second time I had wasted a trip coming here. THAT IS A TOTAL OF 40 MINUTES ROUND TRIP TWICE for me!! He told me to forgive him this time, but I attempted to just leave and not give him any excuses or forgiveness. This is just unacceptable, and I literally deserve a refund which I will ask for if he doesn't have my shoes tomorrow, so that I can just use that money to get a new pair of boots instead. 07/22/14 Update: My nice brown heeled shoes that I loved came back all black with lower heels.

We had to turn around and quickly plan the services due to our family being quite large(over 100 immediate members); We essentially had about a week and a half to finalize and get everything ready. That being said, we needed to print programs ASAP...once we finalized it. Once the programs were done(we had to finalize passages, names, order of services, picture, etc. - so it took about a week to complete), we could not get in touch with some of the printers we had used in the past (much further away), and when we took it to Staples, we were quited over a GRAND for the small job we needed. Suffice it to say, we were in crisis mode...we needed the printing completed, folded, and set up by the next day. ...enter Day & Nite. Another family member used them previously, so we got in touch. Edwin & Yamit (the owner) were really amazing; they were very accommodating and patient. They were already close to closing at the end of the day on Friday. The program project was not formatted in a way that they could print it, so they worked patiently with us until it was correct and ready to go, well past the time they needed to do for a customer. They were going to be closed on Saturday, but they knew we needed the programs completed before Sunday, so they stayed later to complete and finish the job. They printed, scored, and did everything we needed. Overall, the print job was good and done quickly, and really alleviated the stress everyone was under...it was just one less thing to worry about. Day & Nite will defintely be at the top of our list for any project we need done in the future! Thank you again Edwin and Yamit. Truly amazing service!
