Just recently had an expensive Italian leather sofa reupholstered by Jose. This is the third time I have used his services in the past 12 years. He first redid 6 dining room chairs, then I brought an entire car seat to him a few years later. Both times the work was excellent. So when our 20 year old sofa showed considerable leather degradation my wife and I looked for a replacement. However finding a comparable quality sofa at less than $10K was not possible. My wife suggested using Jose again as we knew his quality and workmanship. He has so many available options in regard to color and quality that is was easy to make a match. The price to repair including pickup and delivery was far below what purchasing a comparable sofa would have cost us. The best in town! I shopped at least five stores and this is the only place you need to know. First thing is first. Take some pictures and head down to Jose's shop. He has patterns and choices for days. I think they have been in business for more than 47 years. Trust me all the other places do not compete with Jose, you are just wasting your time. He is honest and fair. Choose your color and choose your fabrics. That's the way to go. Don't let anyone quote you if they are not showing you swabs and choices. He's honest and reliable. His works is professional and looks perfect. I have an 2010 Tiffin and the seats just aged out with so much sun. It wasn't anything else but the sun. Jose can over and took the seats and the next week came back and put them all in. Saved me over 1/2 the cost of putting in new ones. I could have became creative by changing up the colors or even putting in some cool Diamomd stitching or put our names into the coach seats, but eh it's okay. Just keep it simple. I am really impressed based on my shopping. I cringe at some of the other vendors out there that are just trying to get people for their money. Jose is fair and he opens at 7 am! read more

Jose Vera (Owner) was very friendly and informative in explaining the options available to us for re-upholstering sofa seat cushions. He re-upholstered only the sections that were in need and had the cushions looking brand new before closing. I understand that he does all types of upholstery (including cars and boats). Found this company on Yelp during Thanksgiving weekend. Had to reupholster 8 dining room chairs' cushions and 2 large formal couches' seat cushions. Jose Vera (owner) was very informative and helpful and promised to have everything done before Christmas. The dining room chair was done in 3 days. He even came to the house to install the dining room seat cushions to make sure they were put back to the seat frame w/o problem. The formal cushions took 2 weeks waiting for the material. Everything came out excellent. He also replaced the filling so everything is brand new and bouncy. We were so happy with the results, we asked him to do our family room recliner couch. Again, it took only 1 week as the fabric is from local wholesaler. Everything turned out beautiful, and the price was very reasonable. Thank you Jose! read more

Jan 2017- My wife & I were found Amar Custom Upholstery (ACU) through Yelp. I'm so glad we did. We wanted to get 6 dining chairs redone. Our's no longer had cush in cushion seat. We took a chair. We looked at their fabric and the other work that they were currently working on. The shop was clean and was pleased to find that they had been there for quite a long time and had several business clients from around the LA area not just SG Valley. Jose estimated the job would take about a week but had our chairs ready in 5 days.
