I brought my family to lunch at Victorian Grill on a beautiful day, and we decided to sit outside. Our waitress took our order right away, but after 20 minutes without any further contact, my wife went inside and retrieved our ordered drinks from the beverage refrigerator herself. After another 20 minutes passed, I went inside to check on the status of our food and was told by the waitress, "It's coming right up." Ten minutes later, the waitress came to our table with no food and asked, "How is everything?" At first, I thought she was joking, but she was not. After we explained that we still had not received our food, she went back inside to "take care of it." About 10 minutes later, I went inside again and observed the waitress behind the counter scrambling to either locate our order or enter it for the first time. Regardless of what happened, after waiting more than an hour from the time we arrived, I informed her that we would be leaving. To make matters worse, the drinks we left behind were still sitting on our table 30 minutes after we had left the restaurant. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Victorian Grill to others. read more

My husband and I both ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap which comes with fries. The young man who took our order was very kind and never stopped moving (whether it was taking orders from guests on the patio/ delivering food to tables/ and answering the phone for mobile orders). We did wait for 25 minutes but I attribute that to it being the busiest time of the day (noon) on a holiday week. I had a gift certificate that was given to me last year. Finally had a chance to use it and after ordering, I presented the certificate. The person at the register proceeded to tell me that the certificate was purchased with the prior owner. Disappointed that they would not honor the gift certificate. Not good business practice especially with a resident of Ocean Grove. Good news is that I did not have to eat at a place with a dismal 3.5 rating. read more

We walked by and overheard a man saying this was the best burger he ever had. We actually were looking to order take out because we just had a big ice cream. We told the staff and she had no issue serving us even we told her we would only order one thing for my wife and our toddler. We ordered the same burger the man ordered and it was great. Horrible customer service. BEYOND RUDE staff. Used restroom twice - once when I arrived and once 45 min later and advised staff of no soap. This was never refilled. Asked waitress to split the check and was given an attitude that I asked and was told I should have said it at the beginning. No one ever came to check on us. - was not even busy, each waitress had 3 tables each. Do not recommend going. Beautiful town, so disappointing to see an establishment like this in a Christian town. read more

Getting off the beach, I become sadden seeing places starting to close up and then noticed this place on the corner of pilgrim & main. Open until 9pm and the food makes up for the wait time. Nice place to eat on Main St. The first outside table we were given was sunny and the server helped us get a table with an umbrella as soon as it became available. Our meals were good and even though they were busy it did not take too long to be served. We had a chicken wrap and a cheese burger. There is some seating inside as well as outdoor tables. read more

Food was delicious. Definitely a great place to eat. Despite the heat wave, the umbrella helped a lot.

Decent enough food but on our first visit two people were waiting tables and they had not truly mastered multitasking so there was a long wait for uncomplicated orders. The second time, last Saturday, only one person was attempting to do the job of four, and after waiting for a few minutes with nothing to eat or drink except the plastic menu, we left and went a few doors down to the pizza place where the service was quick and the food delicious. If Victorian wants to attract and keep customers some more staff would be great. read more

Waitress seemed unfamiliar with the concept of waitressing...told us they only had Diet Pepsi but brought us Diet Coke. She said she would wipe the table but only wiped half and worst of all, completely forgot to put our order in... or somehow the order wasn't printed in the kitchen...she never noticed we didn't have food, another person had to. When we said we were just going to leave, she never apologized but said "sometimes that happens once in a blue moon". We were comped our drinks. read more
