When I researched Dr. Borovsky, I was pleased with her star rating and patient comments but just a tad bit skeptical that someone could have so many good reviews. Turns out she and her staff deserve every one of the 5-stars. Dr. B took her time on my first visit to get to know me and my health concerns. I didn't feel rushed and I felt that she really cared. When I left, I felt very hopeful and pleased with her plan of action for me...What reeeally impressed me was that Dr. B called me personally, after hours, to share my blood lab results. It's been my experience in these days that if the patient wants their lab results, they have to call for it and even then, its a run around and no doctor feedback. I requested a copy of the lab report be emailed to me and it was in my email box the next business day. Kate and the other women on staff are awesome also. Kate was knowledgeable about the insurance. Called last week and spoke to a very nice young lady Michelle regarding switching to this Dr as a pcp. She said no problem and I switched on my end. Fast forward today when I called in the morning and spoke with a not so nice lady which asked me to email my insurance card and deets and that they will call me right back. 6 hours later when I called to f/up same lady said "well I'm alone in the office , how do you expect me to call you back", then said (with major tude) what's your email, let me Check. I have been a patient for 3 yrs and like her a lot. I felt that I was listened to with my concerns genuinely. I have never felt dismissed on my health concerns. She's always been professional and thorough. I think she's goes the extra mile in regards to preventative actions as well. I was experiencing issues with my throat. Mainly swallowing like something felt stuck there. It was determined I was experiencing GERD. I was prescribed medication AND was able to do a food allergy test to rule out things that contribute to inflammation or production of acid. I liked that. She's very direct and I don't mind that. It's your health that is important at the end of the day. Regarding my annual check up yesterday - Michelle at the front desk was amazing under pressure. A staff member called in sick. She had to cover her work and someone else's. Yes, the waiting room was backed up. I observed her for about an hour with handling patients and phone calls. I saw nothing less than a professional ONWARDS to Blood work with Larissa today. AMAZING! I have anxiety with getting blood drawn. I let her know that prior that I was nervous and requested a butterfly needle. I worked out a half hour before arrival so my small veins would be an easy find. It's a process for me. She relaxed me by having think of something else so I wasn't so focused on what was happening. The draw was painless and one of the easiest times I've had in comparison to going to Quest Labs. I am shocked at the yelling match I had with Dr. Borovsky last night!! I left her a message earlier in the day to ask her questions about my blood work and she called me back after 6pm. She was originally calm but when I asked her questions she raised her voice and yelled at me and said she doesn't have time for my questions and is calling her patients back after hours. I told her I didn't ask you to call me after hours. She said if I wanted to discuss further I needed to make another appointment. She was very short with me and had such a bad attitude because I was questioning my results. I've noticed this before. She gets pissed if you question your own health and like youre diagnosing yourself. She raises her voice and says who told you that?! Im the doctor. I should tell you what you have or not!
