My…read moredoctor put through an order that insurance approved for me to get PT from this place on my lower back. Over the course of an entire month I have left four messages with this place to set up an appointment, and to date, they have not responded!!! This is most unprofessional of them. So adding this after seeing the comment below. How can a place say they can't find any records of the messages I left? Two of them were from their own online website forms. Doesn't anyone monitor those? The other two were voice messages left on the answering machine for the Tarzana office. In each message I even left the reference number from the Optum approval form! I have since filled out the online form again and still no response. I see my doctor tomorrow and going to ask him to send me to a different place.

They were able to take me in the same day, was seen the same day, and was prescribed medications the same day. When Dr. Hormozi entered the room and saw me, he performed a few flexes of my foot and asked me a few health questions. Right there, he immediately knew what's causing the issue. This usually comes from his knowledge and expertise as well as his years of experience. The clinical staff are also very nice and very knowledgeable on what they're doing. In fact, one was kind enough to help me understand how to use the ankle brace that I got from them.

He doesn't explain things well and when you ask him to clarify he repeats himself (again very fast) sarcastically. I've never been treated like this by a doctor. I asked him to come back in to clarify something because I was so upset and didn't understand what has happening with my ankle. It turns out he had given me poor /incorrect directions on how to take care of my ankle (or I had misunderstood because he talks so fast) and I was very concerned that I had re-injured myself. He roared into the exam room and yelled "What's with the attitude??? I was in here for 15 minutes explaining everything to you!!! (he was in with me barely 5 minutes). "Get out your phone, get out your phone, we're going to record this!!" like he needed evidence because he thought I was going to sue him? I don't know, but he was furious. Every question I asked was met with a raised, angry voice, like I was stupid for asking, and just wasting his time. He wouldn't let me finish asking questions, just cut me off like he was really furious and exasperated. How could I possibly know about a fractured ankle, the timeline of care, what I can expect? Something is wrong with this man. The office provides no After Visit Summary, so if you don't understand what he is saying about how to treat your fracture at home, you're out of luck. No handouts, no paperwork, nothing. And they do not provide a patient portal, so you have no access to your records digitally, which is a really old fashion way to run a medical office. It's 2026. Everyone has records online now. The staff is really nice, but some of them seem intimidated by him. I found another doctor and when I called Hormuzi's office to get my records sent to me, I was told that it would "take a week for the doctor to prepare my records". That's very odd. Doesn't the doctor take notes in my chart at the time of care? Or does he wait several days later and hope that he can remember what we discussed? This is just bizarre behavior. Don't go here.

It was like he was reading from a text book. I left there with no real satisfaction of his reasoning why he didn't want to operate on me. I've had an ACL replacement some years ago from a ski accident and the recovery was fast and successful. He didn't ask me any questions about my medical background. Had he done so, he would have learned that I have no medical conditions and am on no medications.

I was there for knee pain and all he did was read over my previous doctor's notes (now retired) and we agreed upon my continuation of the Euflexxa injections for my knee. I was shocked that he never even examined my knee durning my first office visit with him. This appointment was over six weeks ago and I am still waiting on an approval for my Euflexxa injection which usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 weeks for the approval. I have spoken with Cecily at the office for help on two occasions. The first occasion, she said the there is a delay with Optum and could take up to 4 weeks for approval. Please keep in mind that I am in knee pain. When I called again on August 10, 2026, Cecily said that she cannot tell me the status of my medication and would leave a message for the person who could help me. This person who Cecily promised would help me, never called me back. Wednesday of last week, I called my insurance provider in order to help me find out the status of my medicine and we spoke with Karen. Karen promised that we would have the medication by last Friday. Once again, Karen nor any other person called me back from Dr. Nadel's office. As of yesterday, I filed a complaint with my insurance provider and the lack of help with Dr. Nadel and the office staff. How can the office staff here ignore someone who's in pain and not work on getting the medication that I have been using to relieve the pain now for a couple of years. This is unconscionable.

My former employer's workers' comp insurance approved me to see a physician at Kerlan-Jobe, but the doctors there now require an assessment from another physician before agreeing to see me. Not sure if this change is due to KJ's affiliation with Cedars-Sinai, but Kerlan-Jobe is no longer the great facility it once was. Very disappointing.

I was injured there when I was put in the care of a PTA (physical therapy assistant). The PTA…read morehanded me a pull down bar that was pre-loaded with heavy weights, my arm which was being treated for adhesive capsulitis flew up from the excessive amount of the weight, causing me to scream out in pain and nothing was done to assist me; not one person there offered assistance. Per MRI, my rotator cuff was torn from this negligent action. Afterwards, I put in several requests at the desk as well as by phone to speak with supervisor Erika Leal. I also had requested the desk staff to document the incident/injury and it never was. Naturally, I never went back. The supervisor never responded to my phone messages and as far as Select Physical Therapy was concerned my injury there never happened. Be very careful they may respond to a Yelp, but good luck getting them to speak with you regarding your complaint oof you do reach out to them. Terrible.

Went to Dr Raven, he did an x-ray and put the fracture in a cast for 2 weeks, which made sense…read more After 2 weeks, the x-ray found the displacement had grown, which should have meant immediate surgery, but Dr Raven in a rather condescending way said no surgery, and put the fracture back in a cast. Sought a second opinion, that doctor said proper protocol should have been surgery after the first x-ray, and absolutely no defense for putting the second cast on. The support staff was fine, but Dr Raven has a very condescending attitude.
