I stopped visiting Taco Bell because of their prices and the very low quality of their ingredients. That's why I am thankful for Del Taco being here! Give them a try and leave TB in the rear view mirror!

I had the vegetable tacos. It was 2 for about $7. The tacos were really small. It came in a foil container which helped catch the fillings that were falling out. The avocado slice was good but not as good as guacamole would have been. I would get something from Mojo TaGo if hungry. It's not a favorite truck of mine to seek out. The tacos were much better than fast food though.

He made me a refreshing and flavorful Strawberry Basil Margarita in a mason jar, from the specialty drinks menu. I chose 3 tacos: Catfish Po'Boy, Kung Powell Shrimp, and Grilled Fish. I ate the Po'Boy first, which essentially ruined the other two for me because it was far better. I wanted to choke down two more Po'Boy tacos. Um, next time. I got an order of Avocado Salsa and Chips to go; I used to get this from the truck when I worked downtown and know how delicious it is. The place is about 20 minutes from my work, but it is worth the drive. Keep in mind the tacos are small for $3, but they are filled with quality ingredients. The space itself is funky and comfortable. When you enter, the takeout counter is clearly marked to order there, or to dine-in, proceed to the dining room which has several tables, as well as bar seating. I was the only person who dined in during my hour long visit, but someone came in to order takeout and I heard the takeout employee tell him he would bring it over shortly, then saw him walk the order over (I am assuming to a neighboring business). I recommend it if you are in the area for lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is bright, welcoming and very clean We were seated in a side room with the bar, a large projection TV screen with the volume on MAXIMUM and two smaller TVs advertising menu items. Those TVs featured some seriously delicious looking items! Service was ok. Drink refills were not offered and I needed one. We both ordered lunch specials advertised for $10.99 but billed at $11.99. Hubs ordered the lunch chicken bowl with rice, black beans, grilled chicken and corn. The corn was served refrigerator cold. The rest of the meal was hot. Overall the food lacked seasoning. I started with a cheese empanada. Expertly made and fried with goody cheese inside. The empanada was served with a dmall side of green sauce that I thought was cilantro based. I ordered the lunch Pabellon Bowl with pork, white rice, black beans and a sweet plaintain Everything on my plate was served hot but also without seasoning making it bland. I used the empanada sauce to add some flavor to the pork and rice. In summary, I wanted to love this restaurant the advrtised images on 2 TVs are gorgeous but the food was bland. The projection TV volume made conversation difficult and service could have been more attentive. This was our first expusure to Venezuelan food and probably our last. I still stand by the fantastic empanada. I would return for that alone.

I went in at 8pm and ordered food to go at their kiosk. The line to order in person was too long so I figured this would go faster. I had to ask twice for my order and waited 40 minutes for 6 tacos! The last time I asked for my food it was just sitting on the warmer, not in a bag. That hadn't even called my name yet. The food although tasty, wasn't hot and I'm just very disappointed. Honestly feel hurt, over tacos! I may never eat a good taco again because there's no way I'm going back.

The quality of the spread is decent however I wouldn't be writing home about it anytime soon. The sausage links were on the hot tray for too long and hence were pretty dried out. The pop and juicy insides we have come to expect were alas long gone by the time we arrived! The eggs were a little well done but I happen to like well done scrambled eggs so I was more than ok with that. The hash brown lacked the crispy crusty bits and was more like a buttery cooked potato dish; reminds me of the insides of a creamy potato cake (if you can imagine one -- oh yea, a hash brown!). The side of creamy potato mash was pretty good too! I don't know what a shrimp alfredo was doing there but I had a bit and it was ok. I preferred the flavor profile of it's neighbour, the shrimp fajita, but it was a little dried out and overcooked. From the dessert plate, the churro was the best of the lot while the tres leches, chocolate, and flan were ok. Here's where you have to score and see if there is value in this for you. Personally, I am decades past my college binge-eating days and I have no wish to "eat my money's worth." The quality of the food for the quantity I would have liked to stop at (I must admit I overdid it with the dessert plate) didn't justify a $25 expense. I can get myself filled with a better quality of food for less than that at many other dining spots. If you have a hungry kid (or two) with you, I guess it makes financial sense because you save on the additional $10-12 you would have spent per child on an a la carte breakfast anywhere else.
