Mojo TaGo is yet another taco truck. I found it at Easton. They have a good size menu for a truck. It's not great but it's filling. The salsa was average and needed more seasoning. I had the vegetable tacos. It was 2 for about $7. The tacos were really small. It came in a foil container which helped catch the fillings that were falling out. The avocado slice was good but not as good as guacamole would have been. I would get something from Mojo TaGo if hungry. It's not a favorite truck of mine to seek out. The tacos were much better than fast food though. read more

I am updating my review after visiting the restaurant that has been open about 3 months. I went for lunch today and had a lovely visit and chat with a mgr/bartender. He made me a refreshing and flavorful Strawberry Basil Margarita in a mason jar, from the specialty drinks menu. I chose 3 tacos: Catfish Po'Boy, Kung Powell Shrimp, and Grilled Fish. I ate the Po'Boy first, which essentially ruined the other two for me because it was far better. I wanted to choke down two more Po'Boy tacos. Um, next time. I got an order of Avocado Salsa and Chips to go; I used to get this from the truck when I worked downtown and know how delicious it is. The place is about 20 minutes from my work, but it is worth the drive. Keep in mind the tacos are small for $3, but they are filled with quality ingredients. The space itself is funky and comfortable. When you enter, the takeout counter is clearly marked to order there, or to dine-in, proceed to the dining room which has several tables, as well as bar seating. I was the only person who dined in during my hour long visit, but someone came in to order takeout and I heard the takeout employee tell him he would bring it over shortly, then saw him walk the order over (I am assuming to a neighboring business). love it!!! you are where I need you to be, when I need you. Like today at the corner of 3rd and State. Love the fresh fixings love the quac. Tried the veggie tacos a couple times now, slightly inconsistent, but always GREAT. Black beans, cheese, cabbage... I need to remember to request the pineapple salsa. I keep forgetting. 2 tacos, even vegetarian, for $5 is surprisingly filling. Not a huge fan of the soft taco shell - it breaks easily and seems meh. Had the steak burrito while the truck was parked downtown. It was as big as a Chipotle burrito, and just as tasty too. For $8 I consider the burrito a bargain. I can eat. A lot. Trust me. I will be the first to say the burrito filled me up even without the side of chips and choice of salsa which can be added for $2. Only reason why I docked a star is because I would have liked to have a tad more steak in the burrito. All in all, I will purchase again! read more

Had a great lunch from their food truck yesterday. I ordered the chicken burrito, and I was surprised by the size and quality. A previous reviewer had said that the burritos are the size of Chipotle's, but I was skeptical of this claim; Turns out I shouldn't have been. Well worth the $8 asking price. The chicken was very tender, and was seasoned with just enough cayenne to give it a perfect spice level for my palate, but some may find it a little hot for their liking. All the ingredients were fresh and the avocado spread was absolutely delicious. When I ordered they told me they were offering a free drink (normally $1 extra) if you ordered a side of chips with your entree. They had several dipping sauces for their chips, and based on a recommendation from the guy taking my order, I ordered chips with queso on the side. The chips were a far too oversalted, and the queso tasted like simple store-bought white queso out of a jar. Next time I get their food I'll skip the chips. Overall a great food truck. Glad they were out close to where I work in Dublin so I could try their food. Looking forward to trying other menu options in the future. read more

My review is only covering the tacos we had at my company's catered event. Each employee was allowed an order of two tacos (from the choices of carne asada, carnitas, chicken, or veggie), chips and salsa (either tomato or corn), and a drink (I got a Mexican Coke). I had the carne asada and carnitas tacos. I definitely liked the carnitas taco better, which had a nice pineapple salsa on it. The meat in the carne asada much less seasoned so the whole taco was a bit bland. I did enjoy the freshness of the pico de gallo and avocado sauce on top though. The chips are ok, but I think that it was too salty for me. The tomato salsa wasn't too bad though. It's got a good kick to it and the cilantro flavor is prominent. As for the Mexican Coke, how could you go wrong with Mexican Coke? :) I think I'll have to visit the truck another time to sample other items from the menu. Maybe it was just that their catering options left me a little disappointed. read more

Truck was outside of my work, i ordered carnitas burrito. Size was nice and big but taste was below sub par for the meat. Nothing special about the burrito..too much rice. Nothing authentic about the rice and beans..it tasted fresh but no spices or authenticity. They didn't even have home made salsas just typical salsas you buy out of store. Mojo TaGo was ok-. They offer a good amount of menu items that range from burritos, quesadillas, bowls, to tacos. I ordered 3 tacos for $8, which isn't a bad deal. They serve nice sized tacos on double corn tortillas- somewhat street style. The carne asada taco had large pieces of cubed steak, but it was dry and tough to chew. The carnitas taco had some spice to it, which I liked, and the fresh pineapple was a nice addition. The chicken taco was by far the best. My friends got the bowls and were all indifferent. For some reason, a lot of restaurants are adding oil to their guacamole...??? Not sure- why... It makes it weird and runny... Yuck! Overall, quick, friendly service, but average food. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for ages and finally stopped by for lunch today. The location is very strange. Tucked back away from Downtown Powell, I had to MapQuest it to actually find the restaurant. And they're only open three days a week. Plus, their food truck was in the parking lot. I don't really get it. The interior is very nice, though. Clean lines, colorful, and a big bar. This seems like it would be a great location to rent out for a group. When I walked in on a Friday afternoon, I was the only customer in the joint. I surveyed the menu and decided on 3 tacos: chicken, traditional beef, and the beef short rib (aka korean beef). Mojo TaGo gets points for speady service. My "TaGo" tacos were ready in under five minutes. But, as the only customer, should I have expected any less? The tacos are quite small. While the ingredients were very fresh, I was not impressed by the flavor. The chicken and traditional beef had hardly any seasoning on the meat. The korean beef was the most flavorful, but it would still rank low on a normal "tasteless to tastiest" scale. For $10.50 and three tacos, I'm just not super impressed. Save yourself some time and go for a bite at Taco Loco on Sawmill instead. read more

Also great looking truck with nice guys working there. Always fun to try to try something new and have amusing small talk while waiting for kick ass food. I have to take one star away for the amount you get. $3 for a mini and $4 a macho, well as the name says I expected to get alot more bang for my buck so I got the macho which turned out to be the same size, the only good thing was that I got to chose flour over corn tortill awhich I prefer. A 4 inch tortilla is 3 bites no more, tasty, full of flavor, best salsas ever (more like a BBQ that I could drink by the bottle) and since I had the carnitas it came with cilantro and pineapple which just added to my messy tasty goodness. I asked to sample the carne asada as well as the carnitas before ordering and they were so kind, I didn't like the steak, a bit bland but that again was without any toppings so I'm sure that would have came out better. If they were to offer 2 for $4 I'd be back or make an actual "macho" size, otherwise its just a memory of an excellent taco gone way too soon. read more

The Mojo TaGo truck is a brightly colored behemoth of a truck. Very much bringing the LA food truck scene and landing it smack in the middle of Columbus. And like any good food truck, you're going to have to hunt them down - luckily they provide a calendar on their website so you can plan out the day you get punched in the mouth with flavor. Mojo TaGo is so good. How good is it? So good, I ate Mojo TaGo twice in one weekend. I started out easy, 2 tacos for $5. For those of you keeping track at home, that's roughly $1 more per taco than most taco trucks in town. But most taco trucks in town don't pack their corn tortillas this full of delicious meat! I tried the carne asada and the carnitas. The asada is marinated in a thick spicy sauce, then topped with gaucamole salsa, cabbage and pico de gallo. While the asada is delicious, the carnitas taste even better. Seriously slow cooked pork, topped with grilled pineapples, red onions and cilantro. Totally worth the $5 price tag. For $7 the next day, I picked the specialty quesadilla - imagine the carnitas taco stuffed inside of a flour tortilla, add cheese and then melted into perfection. And then I was asked if I wanted fresh jalapenos. Um, yes please! A side of sour cream cheese? Um, yes please! Mojo TaGo hit every single pleasure receptor in my mouth. I've seen Mojo TaGo around other food truck events, or serving at spots around Columbus, but it's always been "Oh, I kinda feel like getting something else...". This time, though, I ended up splitting one of their (huge!) chicken quesadillas with my wife for lunch, and it was fantastic! The meat was really well seasoned, all of the veggies tasted fresh, and the pico / salsa was a really nice refereshing finisher. The price per bite ratio was way too high. I ate both of my tacos in two bites each (four bites total) corresponding to $1.63 per bite! The only reason this food truck does not get one star is because each bite was delicious. I will never visit this food truck again. Holy Mojo TaGo! They have a bricks and mortar in downtown Powell, Ohio!!!! Now I can get my fix anytime. Brian, Chris and the team, really are passionate about great fresh Mexican food with very clever and distinguishing twists. The proportions are perfect and you definitely get what you pay for. When a small shop offers fresh food, you might pay a hair more, then a Chipotle (which I love), but it's the cost of quality for local cuisine. Some of the negative reviews have me perplexed, not about salt or spice, that could be a batch or timing thing, could be a personal taste thing as well. But about portion size... I think the costs reflect the size of the portions. As Americans we are used to the Barnyard buster for 7¢. (not to pick on T-Jays, love them and the BB). Large food chains will always beat smaller local eateries on price to quantity, but only a fraction will match locals like Mojo on quality. Quality and fresh ain't cheap. But Mojo isn't expensive. small, and cold Mojo Tago had the Westerville food truck festival bookended as they had 2 trucks on either side of the lot serving patrons. I ordered up a carne asada and chicken taco. I was not pleased that people that ordered well after me were served before me, but did not gripe. When I was served I was disappointed at how small the tacos were. They literally fit in my hand; about 3 bits to finish each. Also they were cold, not just from the toppings but the meat itself. I would expect a lot more from a $3 taco. read more

We tried them last week for the first time - excellent! I think it's cool that they visit the suburbs occasionally too, so that the rest of us get some food truck delight every once in a while. Chips are great. Salsas change frequently to keep it fresh, literally. We had the chicken, carne asada and shredded pork tacos, all were great. I've been to this truck twice now, both times at the New Albany Farmer's Market. The first time I got Carne Asada and Veggie Tacos, and they were both delicious. I also got chips and the "avocado salsa," but I think they were unnecessary and would not get those again. Today I got a Veggie Taco and my husband got a Carnitas Taco, which he loved. The black beans in my taco were unusually salty, but overall it was good. The tacos each have yummy toppings depending on the protein source, and the tortillas are fresh. The service is fast and friendly- I would definitely recommend this taco truck, especially if you are just looking for a tasty bite on the go. read more

This review is for the food truck that was parked in front of our work building. I got the homemade corn chips and avocado salsa. The chips are very light, fresh and not greasy however they have too much salt. I tried to shake off as much salt as I could in the bag but still too much. The avocado salsa aka guacamole was very flavorful but had entirely too much garlic. I could of knocked down a crowd with my breath. The gentleman taking the orders seemed very personable and energetic. My co-worker sitting next to me also ate the chips and guacamole and her comments are the same as mine. She also purchased carnitas tacos and stated they were good but entirely too spicy and she is Latino and used to eating Hispanic food. read more

Thanks Mojo for the repeat performance. They brought one of their mobile units to our workplace this week as part of our Operation Feed fundraiser. They do cater for all kinds of events. Anticipation in the office was high ... folks looking out the windows for the truck ... starving ourselves for the lunch time. The food was fresh and quite tasty. Had to go back for seconds! Service was friendly and jovial. A variety of different tago were $3 each, mojodillas (quesadillas) were $5 and tago bowls were $6. I sampled a couple different items, but have to say the carnitas mojodilla was my favorite. (I had to try it based on a coworkers recommendation.) Ate here for lunch today after watching a committee hearing at the Statehouse. It was parked right across the street, and when Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace was packed, we walked back to it. Perfect timing too--there was no line. Dave and Sarah each got two vegetarian tacos, but I decided to go for their special of the day, which was their mojodilla--a ridiculously large quesadilla stuffed with carnitas and pineapple salsa. I was hungry, but I still insisted Dave and Sarah each try some just so I wouldn't have to go it alone. The carnitas were cooked perfectly, but I couldn't taste any seasoning besides pork fat. I honestly would say I prefer Chipotle's. The pineapple salsa, however, was something to talk about. It had chunks of pineapple and red onion, and was a perfect compliment to their chipotle sauce (almost like a tangy barbeque), so all was not lost. It was a bit of a pricey meal though. My dish was $10, and both Sarah and Dave spent $6 on two tiny vegetarian tacos. I would have rather paid a bit less for a reasonable amount of food, but there wasn't a middle ground to be found. I have hear of this truck, seen it on the road, and now have finally eaten at it. Sometimes when you're excited to try something it can be a let-down...but not Mojo Tago. As a vegetarian, I was excited to see taste their vegetarian taco offering, since this is certainly not the norm for traditional taco trucks. Since that's all I had, it's all I can assess, but the assessment is YUM!! This was one flavorful taco, full of fresh veggies and incredibly balanced in saltiness and tartness. The line moved quickly and I got my food in no time at all. I was especially impressed because it was amid the lunch hour in downtown's Columbus Commons. (Which is also awesome!) Their plan at this time is to be there every Wednesday during lunch-time. You get 2 small-ish tacos for $6 which seemed reasonable. I'd recommend adding some chips to your order, or a second duo of tacos if this is a meal for you. Also, they are on the messy side, so don't skip on the napkins. Bottled water and drinks were reasonably priced too! Always a plus when they don't gauge you on something like drinks. (I wrote this the other day but never posted for some reason) I have seen the truck around downtown and finally decided to try it out. Went with the carne asada soft tacos. They were not real big (2 for $7) but they were very fresh. Wonderful steak and an avocado salsa. It was perfect for me, nice flavor and a little kick but not real spicy. If you like fresh ingredients and great flavors give it a try next time you see it. read more

Had it at the Columbus Arts Festival (6/10) extremely hungry after not eating all day. My girlfriend and I each ordered Carnita burritos-- which are advertised to only contain pork, pineapple salsa, and a chipotle bbq sauce. We each also requested rice, since its a burrito... After waiting a half hour for the food to be ready, and having a seat to eat, we both opened our burritos to find a minuscule amount of pork, tomatoes, lettuce, pico and beans in addition to what was actually advertised to be on the burrito. Additionally, I was lucky enough to find a hair!! Went back to return them and complain, only to find a long line and go another 15 minutes without anyone recognizing us at the counter. read more

went to the CSG Jubilee and this truck was there. Yum to the O!!! The pico de gallo was so fresh and tasty; the chicken was seasoned right, and the whole thing had the perfect bite to it - not too hot, but with a kick. The only 'bad' thing was that when i went back to order for the kids i had with me, i had to use my debit card, and the employees on the truck didnt have their machine for credit cards, which meant i had to cancel my order, but it was really their loss, coz it came to over $20. It's been a couple weeks since I've been here, but I just remembered that I wanted to give this place a shout. I'd like to see this place succeed. The atmosphere is solid and great for a little night out in Powell. Hunkered down maybe a 1/4 mile from Downtown Powell. There's even a cool little brewery just a couple doors down and what looks like a little t-shirt shop opening up. Here's the bottom line, the only reason I have to give this place a 3 out of 5 is because of the portion size vs price ratio, which has been mentioned before. Don't want to be too harsh, but It seems out of whack (I have a taco problem and I've probably been to every place in the Columbus area). At the size of these taco's albeit very delicious, I'd sacrifice a little bit of the deliciousness for a 3 taco standard combo as I highly doubt you'll be satisfied with 1 or even 2 tacos. This is how it's looks with 3 Flour Taco's price wise (the soft corn tortillas offer maybe more authenticity but they're just ok). $12.75 and that's just for the Taco's. That might be ok for 3 decently sized taco's, but these are pretty small. If this place can take a little bit of a lesson from places like Condado's as far as pricing and options I think they'll see a boost in business. Chips are good and similar if not exactly the same chips as el vaquero and the like. I think I had their regular salsa, it was good but not spicy enough for me, maybe that's just my style. Also, I didn't see any there so I may be wrong but, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE OFFER TAPATIO AT THEIR MEXICAN RESTAURANT?! I really hate to give them 3 stars, but I think with just a few minor tweaks I could become a regular. read more

Tacos are great, but really small. Like, two bites of taco for $3. It's almost surprising how small they are. Throw in a couple Mexican cokes and you're looking at a $20 for a quantity of food that is still pretty small. Mojo TaGo stopped by my office a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic! I had the carnitas quesadilla (they call it a mojodilla). The carnitas was probably the best I've ever had. I had the chips and queso as side. The queso was tasty; although it could have been spicier for my tastes. It ended up being pretty affordable too. We don't get food trucks nearby my office too often, I hope Mojo keeps comes back more. read more

Surprised I'm just the third reviewer, seeing as this truck has gone through hundreds of customers each time I've seen it. I finally made the wait in line to order some goodness. I wasn't disappointed! First off the service is fast, and the line moves quick too. The ordering system is easy, with a limited selection of choices. I was mildly disappointed that they were sold out of both carne asada and any form of chips (1.5 hours after opening), but settled on a vegetarian and Chicken taco. That coupled with a Jarritos (thank you!) was $8. The flavors packed into the tacos were AWESOME. Easily the best taco out of a truck I've tasted. I would however like to see a better taco shell, and larger portions. I could easily go through 4 id not 6 of these for lunch, so only two for $5 means they're probably raking it in. I also had to eat the veggy one with a spoon, since it was all-over-the-place. read more

Sweet gooey holy goodness. Just had their churro cupcake which was amazeballs! A light, cinnamon frosting, spiced cake and a surprise caramel center. Also got the carnitas quesedilla with avocado salsa which was generously portioned and incredibly filling. Can't wait to get my friends to try this place out! read more
