went in not knowing what i wanted but after a brief convo with the barista, she gave me more than i expected! this drink was sooo good and it woke me up a little. I definitely have more pep in my step after. Great coffee right by the river in Savannah! Staff was super nice and welcoming. I got an americano and my boyfriend got an iced coffee. Both came out to $6, so prices were pretty normal for coffee. I loved my americano, whereas my boyfriend said his iced coffee was just okay. I definitely loved the vibe inside and can't wait to go back. read more

What a cute spot to grab a coffee while strolling River Street! A double espresso, small Americano and small Chai Latte was under 9 bucks. Drinks were nice and hot and the chai didn't lack any ingredient, nor did one flavor overpower another. I enjoyed sitting on the couch for a few moments before continuing on. So fun fact: You can drink on the streets in Savannah! My friend & I strolled in here looking for a nice cup of hot chocolate but decided to try their boozy coffee. After we ordered, we looked at each other & were like, "sooo... Can we take this out or do we have to drink this here?" & sure enough we found out that you can drink on the street. Game changer! Cloud Nine: Tasty with a mild liquor taste, very easy to drink. Irish Coffee: My friend ordered this & when I tried it, I was shocked. They put a good amount of whiskey in this! We arrived at Vic's Coffee House for ice cream at 8:53 p.m. and the door was locked. The sign said they closed at 10:00. There were people inside so we were a bit confused. When people excited the employee needed to open the door. I inquired about the hours and was told they closed at 9:00 ( one hour before the sign indicates). At this point it was 9:02, but I had been there since 8:53. I asked the employee about the discrepancy in the times, she said they closed early when there weren't customers. The problem with this is that there were customers both inside and outside ( locked out) BEFORE the revised 9:00 time. I pleaded with her for an ice cream cone, no luck. She wasn't very kind about her non-compliance. Unfortunately a lot of restaurants in Savannah are closing earlier than the times posted and it's getting a bit old. I decided this wasn't okay so I went upstairs to Vic's on the River to plead my case. The manager upstairs was kind and listened to my complaint. She called downstairs and had the ice cream brought upstairs to me. I appreciated this a lot. The solution, be consistent. Restaurants are closing at random times making it rather unpleasant for customers. read more

Stopped in for an espresso martini, wasn't disappointed. It was a little costly, but not unexpectedly high for the tourist area in Savannah.

Free wifi, check. A/C pit stop from the heat, check. A weird mash up of a coffee bar, ice cream shop and alcohol bar, check. I glanced at the menu and knew immediately in my heart that I was going to choose the Guinness ice cream float because it contained two things I really love: Guinness and Blue Bell. It was crazy expensive ($8), especially since it was served in a small plasitc cup, but it was everything I wanted it to be. I was able to sit in one of their super comfy leather chairs while I let the A/C and the ice cream do its magic in cooling me down. I do like how the interior is very dark and almost reminded me of a cigar lounge, which is quite a contrast from all of the bright colors and loud noises just right outside their door. If you let the ice cream melt a bit in the beer, it will end up tasting like root beer. True story. read more

I wish that service was provided the same way to all types of people. A quick scan of the folks in front of us identification card. When I arrive to order the barista studies my ID and let's me know that there's a problem since the date has expired on my license. My ID expired right when COVID began (March) - and although my ID expired my birthday is still the same. Fine never been told this before but here is the real issue- I WAS NOT EVEN ORDERING ALCOHOL (raises hands is disbelief). Spent 5 minutes explaining this to the barista where she ask me to show an email from the DMV of proof- how? When I'm not even ordering alcohol? Very strange that no apology was offered or even empathy for THEIR mixup. Won't be back needless to say. Annnnddd to top it off coffee wasn't that great either read more

Vic's provided a nice after dinner drink. If you happen to be dinning at the Vic's on the River, it is just a short elevator ride down from the restaurant, else you would use the the entrance off of River Street. Besides your standard coffee drinks and teas, they offer a selection of cocktails and other adult beverages, as well as some ice cream. If you would wanted to sit back and relax, they had a variety of seating options. From a bar top with padded seats, to low top tables, as well as two leather chairs and a couch. With a TV on the wall and the air conditioning, it provided a nice relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of busy River Street. Prices for the coffee seemed fair and in line with what you would expect to pay at a Starbucks. Plus, they have late night hours for a coffee shop! read more

Strolling down River Street on a cool 72 degree night, we couldn't pass up a chance to duck in this coffee shop. They had a good selection of flavors. We had a Hazelnut Latte and a sugar free Carmel Cappuccino. Both were well crafted by our friendly barista. There were muffins and treats available but we had just bought a few caramels from down the street so we munched on those. Service was quick, plenty of seating and a good night for a hot coffee. Love Vic's restaurant and their coffee shop is no exception. It's a hip little air conditioned gem in the middle of River St. Its very dog friendly and has a cool crew who make quality drinks. This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've been to in a long time! The ambiance and location was amazing! I'd be there every day probably if I lived closer. They had everything. From beer and wine to liquor to amazing coffee drinks and food! Bagels and treats. It was all there. They had bar stool seating, to comfy chairs and a sofa, to actual tables in the back. Adorable! I'm completely enamored with the space and atmosphere after only one visit - it's left me wishing for a cafe just as lovely in Atlanta. The space is quaint yet modern, cozy in design and elegant in decor. The staff was super sweet and quite accommodating. The selections are a-plenty, offering ice cream, a wealth of pastries, any and all coffee beverages you could ask for - and not to be done by it's bar neighbors a very healthy selection of various beer and liquor. We opted for an in between option - Irish coffee - which I thought was the perfect balance between the two. We ended up staying in Vic's much longer than originally planned - the atmosphere is just so relaxed and chill, but you end up still having a great time. It's an obviously popular joint on River Street - couples, families, friends all populate the spot, and it's easy to see why! read more

Cuuute little coffee house with a great view of the Georgia Queen when she's docked! The service is super friendly, and all I had was some tea for a beverage. There is plenty of seating with access to outlets, so working here for the day was pretty great. They have some muffins/pastries, and the entire building belongs to the same owners, so I was excited they were able to order from the appetizer menu of the restaurant for me and being it down to the cafe, so I got to try the Fried Green Tomatoes. They came with a tomato chutney, which was just okay (though tomatoes are my favorite food), but the breading was good and not greasy, there was just a touch of balsamic, and the goat cheese and grits were nice with it. A nice, intimate, and classy coffee shop on the ground level of River Street, operated by Vic's, the well-regarded restaurant upstairs. While nice inside it's neither posh nor stuffy--"cute" is a good description as any, but what's important is how well they use this long and narrow space. The coffee, iced tea, and especially the pastries (which I believe are made by a local French bakery) are great and the staff always seems upbeat and friendly. It's really nice to have a small coffeeshop like this right on River Street as a respite from all the bars and tacky shops down there. read more

These seemed like they could have been a little fresher, and the staff offered to warm them for us prior to serving which didn't help a whole lot.
