The bar staff was standoff-ish, and drinks expensive, and the tables are SO packed together to the point where staff and customers kept having to brush past our chairs and hit our table too. But what really got me was the "steak" pizza... it was literal steak-ums on the pizza. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't $5 steak-ums. Overall, overpriced and lack-luster. Our server was very charismatic and attentive, and he made sure to check on us repeatedly. I got the Neat Breakfast Pizza, which was good and could easily feed 3 people without the need of ordering anything else. Instead of a drink, I opted for coffee, which was amazingly smooth. My date got the Mini Southwest Quiches and said it was bussin'. Overall, a great meal. But I will note that you need to be careful with making online reservations - I made one the night before and they couldn't find it. Thankfully, it wasn't busy, so I was seated quickly. Sooooooooo I'm super late with this post , my husband and I stopped in here for brunch a few weeks ago, on a warm Sunday , this place has a cool vibe with a DJ spinning , cool windows that open wide it's nice and it was packed. The " brunch " menu didn't have many breakfast items we basically made ours by adding a la carte items , I fell they had more lunch items, the food was ok you can't really mess up French toast BUT our reason for goin was for the unlimited mimosas ..... $25.00 pp tho , they're served in small glasses but don't be fooled you get your money's worth ( or at least I did) those drinks snuck up on me and I was felling good . Came here on a Saturday night for a birthday, we had a reservation and when we got there they didn't have it, even though we had a confirmation text proving so. We waited about 10 minutes which wasn't bad but still annoying. They gave us the upstairs area which was nice because we were a fairly large group. The server(s) were awesome and the atmosphere was your typical hip lounge/bar vibe but those are the only things I liked about this place. The food was BAD. So bland and dry. I had the Vice burger. Was literally 2 rubber patties, cheese, and burnt onions on a bun. There was no flavor. No sauce. Nothing. Couldn't even finish it. Also tried the pizza. Again, nothing special about it. I am a huge fan of Neat so I was excited to try Vice and I was impressed!! The restaurant itself is very cool and has a very trendy vibe to it, reminds me of the show Entourage. The drinks were great, I ordered the strawberry margarita and the ice blocks have strawberries in them which I found to be an awesome touch to the fruity and strong margarita. My friends and I shared arancini - yummy! They were a good size as well, delicious! I also ordered French onion soup and it was good, it was nothing out of the ordinary, nice and cheesy. My entree was the hot chicken sandwich. This was a good size as well, I ended up taking half of it home. The chicken was white and juicy, perfectly breaded, and spicy! I really liked the flavor of the chicken and breading, thought it paired well with the cheese and sauce. The French fries were also yummy, crisp and cooked well. I fully plan on returning to Vice! My only qualm was the wait - they do not take reservations and we waited about two hours for a table. They do have a live timer you can watch so you know where you are in line. I hope this changes eventually and they start accepting reservations. read more

The gluten free trio seemed happy with their choices. Dan our waiter was awesome - even lowered the blasting awful music down. Idk - I can't really say I'd ever return - it really met none of my needs. But the place was packed, well staffed and orders all came out perfect .... Saw this notice on fb. Let try it. WOW ! Let me tell you, one of the best meal, experience we had. Jason came out and packed our truck with 6 boxes. He was masked and being safe, giving us options on if we can pack it or he can. The food was amazing! Everything was very tasty. We started of with choice of danishes, little capers with salmon. Very cute and good. We than had scrambled eggs and fritta. Than carrots, ham with pineapple topping. Lamb chops were next, so very good, I am happy!! We than had sausage links and roasted potatoes. I forgot the wonderful waffles we had too. We had a great all meal for 3 (6). Great portions but most of all great taste. This ordering of Easter meal was a guess, good guess. Came out for dinner on a Wednesday night to Vice for a ladies night out. I really enjoyed the vibe here. Was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. We did not make any reservations. Tried making reservations online, but they don't have the option for online reservations. We showed up and put ourselves on the waiting list. It wasn't long before we sat down to be served. You also have the option to sit at the bar for a drink and wait there. Everything we ordered was delicious. Just wish the calms were bigger. It's located in Downtown Buffalo and like anywhere else in Downtown Buffalo parking...either you get lucky enough to find parking on the street or you have to pay at the self parking lots on Pearl street. read more

Went for the sunday brunch buffet for one of our friends birthdays. First of all, the food was awful. "Brunch" was a stretch, it was a hotel breakfast plus french fries and chicken fingers. Definitely NOT worth $25 per person. There was only five of us and they charged an automatic gratuity of 20%. For what? Our waitress only came to our table two times. She was nice don't get me wrong. But to have the audacity to charge 20% automatically for only 5 people? Absolutely insane. Between that, and the food being a total disappointment, I will never be going there again. I have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant and opening day was everything I expected. The food was awesome, the service was amazing, the style and atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful! I decided to go with 4 of my friends so we can try as much of the menu our stomachs would allow. I would highly recommend doing that for your first time. Now for the specifics. Drinks: we ordered the following: - Italian Moscato: very crisp clean and delicious - 1911 hard cider: comes in a bottle, can't go wrong with 1911 - Bourbon Smash: more lemon flavor than I expected but very good overall - Monkeys Manhattan: holy bitters batman, definitely a very unique flavor than your average Manhattan but trust me, that's a good thing - Paper Plane: a little sweeter than what you would expect for a whiskey drink but has a nice blend of flavors - Old Fashion: call me old fashioned but this was my favorite. The smashed orange and cherries at the bottom of the drink definitely gave it a continuously good flavor, even as the ice melted. Food: we ordered the following: - Braised short rib soup: completely different from any other soup I've had but I can definitely understand why it's award winning - Wood fired French onion soup: great flavor once you break through the blanket of cheese. The soups come in a cute cauldron which are bowl size portions - Brick dough shrimp: 4 large shrimp, each fried in a filo dough which is much lighter than the usual frying batter but very good - Brussels sprouts: definitely a sharable plate, shredded and crispy, and have a great flavor - Wood fired cauliflower: another great sharable plate. We got the sweet and spicy flavor. Definitely had a bit of heat but nothing too crazy. I need to learn how to make these at home. - Wood fired meatballs: again, a great sharable plate or nice to have as an entrée if you're not super hungry. We got the bourbon glaze which was a great flavor. You get 3 and they each come on a bed of mashed potatoes - Blue burger: perfectly cooked burger patties with melted blue cheese, mushrooms and crispy onions. We were told that all burgers come with 2 patties. And if you are not big on red meat, you can substitute any burger for grilled chicken so everyone can enjoy - Blackened salmon: huge flaky piece of salmon over a bed of crispy asparagus. It usually comes with rice pilaf but my friend got parmesan roasted red potatoes instead. - Wood fried pork chop: honestly the pork chop was a bit overdone and tough. The "grits" tasted more like polenta and was very grainy. This was not a fan favorite, and we hate doing this, but they were very welcoming with taking it off of our bill and substituting it with something else. My friend who got this loved the meatballs so much that she got her own order of those. - Wood fired scallops: perfect serving size, especially after all of the appetizers we had. This was my dish of choice and I did not finish it. I bought it home and will have it as leftovers tomorrow. The sweet potato succotash (sweet potatoes, lima beans, corn, and peppers) had a great flavor. The scallops were huge and perfectly cooked Things we will try next time: - One of my friends actually enjoyed herself so much that she went back the next day and got a very tasty Norwegian Cod Piccata - The table next to us got the steak. IT WAS HUGE. They said it was perfectly made and melted in their mouth. - Pizza: we saw a few pizzas come out. Great sizes for sharing. Can't go wrong with a great wood fired pizza. - Salads: they came out in nice size bowls. The ones with chicken looked like they came with a full grilled chicken breast on top which explains why adding chicken is an extra $6 We sat at a table. The booths were full but they are nicely padded and roomy. The restaurant itself is spacious. The bar looked really nice. Great selection of spirits, nice blue lighting, seating areas are separated by full partitions that don't just cover your food but your full party. The bathrooms were very clean. The restaurant itself has an upstairs and downstairs for seating. Regardless of where you sit you are in perfect view of a tv. There's also bocce ball available for you to play (yes even with covid). They seemed to do a really good job sanitizing between customers. There was a great crowd for opening night and they definitely had the staff to cover it. Our server was Brittany B. and she was AMAZING! She was very patient. She was learning the menu along with us. She had some of the food but not many of the drinks so she was asking our opinion of everything throughout the night so she knows what to tell other guests and I appreciated her willingness to not just make sure everything was well with us, but to become an expert on the menu. I will definitely be back. I am definitely telling everyone I know to try it out. And the friends I came with are definitely doing the same. Sunday Brunch was NICE! Our server Nicholas (he looks like Evan Ross), was EXCELLENT. Brunch menu is limited but youre able to order off the entire menu. Note....there used to be bottomless mimosas but people messed that up! Anywho, the mimosas are reasonably priced and yummy. Our table had the pineapple one. We had an issue with cold french toast. It was HANDLED immediately. Nicholas and the manager came over to apologize, bring HOT freshly made french toast. I saw the heat rising off their plates lol. I wish I could give 0 stars. 20% gratuity added to a party of 2?? Are they high?? Now I would've tipped more than that had my service been just pretty good. But an automatic 20% for sub-par service for a party of 2 is ridiculous. I've read some other reviews and some mention a 15% gratuity added. So maybe they just take it upon themselves to decide what they want to charge you?? That's real classy!! Very unprofessional for a place that claims to be so nice and trendy. Food was ok at best, drinks were terrible. Asked for a drink on the rocks with a splash of something. Now you'd think a drink on the rocks would be strong like normal instead I got Juice over ice and no taste of alcohol whatsoever. Once i ordered and the waiter asked me if i wanted a single or double for a drink on the rocks I should've known i was in trouble. A rocks pour is almost a double, if you worked in a restaurant or bar before you'd know that ‍ I said just say $&#%# on the rocks, splash of %#&$€% they should know what that means if they're a bartender. My family and I came to have a family meal to celebrate a graduation. I've been here before and have always had a great experience. The food is always amazing but unfortunately, this time around we were left very disappointed and honestly annoyed due to the service. We had extremely poor service from our server, Kenzie. She seemed to be wandering and unaware that her tables had been waiting for longer than they should have. We were seated around 3:50 pm and didn't end up getting food until around 5:00 pm. We noticed some of our food sitting and waiting to be served for over 20 minutes. A different waitress ended up serving us the first few dishes and then we had to wait even longer for the rest. I genuinely feel that she didn't deserve the 20% gratitude tip that is automatically added to the bill. The food was good as always but the customer service really let us down. read more
