My husband went to exchange a couple of shirt he got for…read moregifts- he didn't want a refund, just to change the size because the shirts he received are way too large. He needed smalls. First the female sales associate said they didn't carry the color he received, but he said he just wanted a small shirt. She said he had to return it to where he got it from....IT WAS A GIFT!!! He didn't know where they got it from. Then he found a small in the other shirt he received and the male sales associate asked if he had a gift receipt. No, we didn't have one. So he asked "when did you receive it?" My husband said on May 19. He said "Oh, that's more than 30 days-we can't exchange it." Today is the 20th of June. Seriously!?!?! One day late and no grace period!?!??! So now he's stuck with 2 shirts that he can't use....So CAUTION! DO NOT BUY ANY GIFTS from this place. I know if the person he got the gifts from knew they had such a strict policy, she would have warned him to rush and exchange them. Horrible customer experience. Never setting foot in this store again!

Everyone on the island is usually super friendly, greeting you with a smile. Today was the first day, I came across a local who was not friendly. No greeting when I entered. She didn't smile when l greeted her when I walked in, even after I smiled at her and made eye contact. If you're that unhappy working here, get another job. So I waited for another employee to show up before I asked any questions. This guy was fine. Answered questions. Bad service is why my rating is low. Quality of clothing had improved over the years. The store is always out of my size everytime I come to the islands. Just shows it's a loved brand.

Arrive very early. The line starts well before sunrise. On Tuesday, the first person arrived at 4:50 AM; I got there at 6:00 AM and was already in the third section of the line. Another day I arrived at 3:45 AM thinking I would be first, but someone had been there since 3:30 AM. Small sizes are especially difficult to get. If you line up before 8:00 AM, you'll generally have a better chance at Medium through XXL. 2. They may open before the posted time. Although the store lists a 10:00 AM opening, it has opened around 9:15 AM. 3. Use the next-day exchange option. If your preferred size is unavailable, buy an available size and return around 9:00 AM the following day to exchange it. Keep in mind that exchanges are only for swapping sizes. You cannot purchase additional items during that visit. And since Small sells out quickly, it may still be difficult to exchange into one. Overall, the staff is friendly and professional, especially considering they manage huge crowds all day and answer the same questions repeatedly. Great store, but treat it like an early-morning event rather than a casual shopping stop. Value - get ready to pay for an arm & leg: - T-shirts: $45 - Hoodies: $130 - Zipper Hoodies: $140 - Jackets: $200+

It's unique. I…read morereally like the cloths they have here. It's like Old Navy but with character. No really I love the T-shirts because of the different characters. The shirt art ranges from Charlie Brown and company, to Marvel or DC, plenty of Japanese anime, and even 70s 80s and 90s cartoon art figures. And if you just want simple casual clothing that's here too. From collared shirts to sweaters, to pleated pants it's here. Prices range from this is cheap to hey this is reasonable. You would think with cheap prices the quality sucks but no. The clothing is very durable and fashionable. The self checkout system is a little different. You dump everything in a cubby and the system itemizes and charges you with what's in the BIN. The only time a salesperson will come to you is to take off the thief sensor. After you pay, go to another counter to fold your cloths and get a shopping bag if you purchased one. Overall five stars. I'm a sucker for action figures. M

I would stock up on socks and sweaters with abandon from the Uniqlos closer to my home in San Francisco. That was why it surprised me that I would seek out this familiar store at the mammoth Ala Moana Center. However, I had seen a local vlogger's YouTube video where he showcased the Hawaiian-exclusive clothing they sell here. Jamie W and I decided to drop by when we were at Ala Moana. Although not at the scale of the Tokyo Ginza flagship, it's one of the global chain's larger stores with an expansive multi-floor space. They offer the Brands Hawaiian Loco line, which is quite a distinct array of T-shirts spotlighting locally renowned businesses like Leonard's Bakery, Hawaiian Airlines, and Zippy's. I even bought one featuring a bowl of Zippy's saimin called Zipmin (Photo 4). I also really liked their line of aloha shirts because designs came from top quality Japanese block prints. I fell in love with one shirt based on Hokusai's "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa". I had never seen one like that before. They even offer opportunities to customize T-shirts and tote bags using exclusive designs from local artists. There's enough here to justify a shopping expedition. If you think one Uniqlo is like another, reconsider and come here. RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://yelp.to/06Oa2Epa6T

Most of the shirts here are customized 88 Tee shirts. However, there were also other designs like Snoopy, Punisher, etc. The shirts are organized and categorized by size and each size has a HUGE variety of designs so you really gotta lift the shirts to open and see them. Aside from T-shirts, they have hats, button-up shirts, crop tees, shorts, everything, no matter the size, newborn or adult. The part that shocked me was that I was willing to settle for an oversized male t-shirt. Then, Tita Araceli came up to me without me asking and advised I make it off the shoulder WHICH I did want but didn't know they do it for you, FOR FREE!!! They use their special sharp Japanese scissors from Japan, literally in a special box lmao. She wasn't making ghetto cuts on the shirt. She legit knew what she was doing, stretching the shirt a certain way to get the aesthetic roll-ups, cut it a certain way. I honestly was going to do it myself but I'm so happy Tita Araceli did it!! IF YOU WANT OFF THE SHOULDER, YOU CAN ASK AND NO CHARGER :) I even tried to tip her and she didn't want it, she was just genuinely trying to help. The t-shirt I got was $31. I'm tempted to go back already.
